"I think it's lovely news"
Outside the shop, Anita is telling Cadno, “Yes, I heard about it last night in the Deri.   How far is she gone, then?   I think it’s lovely news.”
"This is Cwmderi – everyone knows by now"
Eifion says that everyone will know the news by now, this being Cwmderi.   He informs Cadno that there is a pipe dripping out the back,
He moans about his lack of equipment
so he will have to go to APD to get a clamp to fix it.
"I think that Eileen is crazy!"
Anita has changed her tune when she talks to Kelly;  “I think that Eileen is crazy!”
"You were talking about having IVF not long ago"
but Kelly points out that not long ago she was intending to have IVF, and she would now have been in the same position.   “I can see now that it was not a good idea,” admits Anita.
Ed approaches;  Anita asks him how the band rehearsals are going, and remarks on how bossy Colin can be.
"I'm on my way to the chippy"
Ed is about to start his shift in the chippy, and asks if Kelly fancies a drink after she closes,
Kelly knows what the chat is about
as he wants to have a chat with her.
Anita thinks that he seems a bit stressed, and Kelly explains he has a lot on his mind;  “He asked me to move in with him the other day – but my head was all over the shop, and I said no,” replies Kelly, “And now he hasn’t talked to me for days –
"Now he wants to ask me again"
“but now he wants to ask me again, and I am totally going to say yes!”
"I'll take Greta swimming later"
At number 7, Tyler has prepared their meal, and Greta is asleep;  he thinks that later he will take her swimming, as Iolo is busy.
Alun's boiler has conveniently malfunctioned . . .
Iolo receives a text from Alun, whose boiler is on the blink;  he does not mention who the text is from,
. . . and Iolo is given his packed lunch
but Tyler puts his food into a lunchbox to take with him.
"Garry used to sing to our baby"
In the Deri, Dani tells Jim that when she was pregnant, Garry used to sing to the baby,
"Garry singing – I've heard it all now!"
and Dai says that he has heard it all now.   Jim confirms there could be complications because of Eileen’s age, especially blood pressure problems.
"The baby is a picture of health"
She has had the amnio tests, which shows the baby is a picture of health.
Sara is nearby with Ifan,
But Sara takes exception to this
and demands, “What’s your point?   Just so you and everyone else knows,
"I'm very proud of Ifan!"
“I’m very proud of Ifan!”   Jim is almost lost for words, as she marches off, and wonders what he has said.
Iolo has solved Alun's problem
Iolo has quickly fixed the problem with Alun’s boiler, and is given a cup of coffee;
"I shall expect a tip, mind"
“Are you sure I haven’t taken up another customer’s time?” Alun asks, and Iolo replies that he will expect a tip.
"I'm making steak and chips"
Alun is about to make steak and chips, and as Iolo does not have another customer for a while, he agrees to stay.
In the garage, Garry receives a text from Hywel, advising that they will be back in a week, and asking him to keep an eye on the house;
"It's about our living arrangements"
then he goes to have a word with Gethin.   “It’s about our little living arrangement – we need the room, to paint and wallpaper it – so you’ll have to move out asap.”
"I can sleep on the sofa"
Gethin is quite happy to sleep on the sofa until the work is done, but Garry spells it out clearly,
"Find somewhere else to live – permanently!"
“I want you out!   Find somewhere else to live – permanently!   Ideally, I want you out by the end of next week.   I’m going to an auction in Llanelli – I’ll be back at 4:00pm.”   Gethin is not pleased with this news.
"I don't know where I am with John"
At Alun’s, he explains to Iolo that he does not know where he is with his current partner, who seems angry and frustrated about something, but is not very good at talking.   This reminds Iolo of someone in the past, but Alun recalls, “It is not easy when you’re hiding a child and a wife from someone.”
"If it is meant to be, things will work out"
Iolo encourages him that if it is meant to be, things will work out.
"I regret not talking to you"
“I do regret not talking to you, not being honest with you from the outset – you deserved better than that,” Alun says, but Iolo points out that it all worked out in the end.
"I don't think I have moved on"
However Alun does not think that he has moved on, and after seeing Iolo again, he realises he still has feelings.
This makes Iolo nervous
Iolo, on the other hand, assures him that he has moved on and is now happy;
"No, Alun!"
when Alun moves to kiss him, he thinks that Alun needs to move on too,
Iolo leaves hastily
and makes a hasty exit.
"How are you settling in?"
Gethin walks into the Deri, and asks Eifion how he and Cadno are settling in at the shop;  Eifion would prefer to be farming, and cites the lack of tools as one problem.
"In Penrhewl, I would have had a wrench"
He had a leaking pipe to fix, and in Penrhewl he would have had a wrench available.
"I'll bring you one from the garage"
Gethin offers to bring one over from the garage,
"What's this about redecorating the spare room?"
then mentions to Dani about redecorating the spare room,
"That's the first I've heard of it"
but this is the first she has heard about it.
“Why can’t he tell me straight, instead of making up some pathetic excuse?” Gethin demands, “He wants me to move out by next week!”
"You send Garry to see me!"
Dani instructs him to send Garry to see her as soon as he returns from the auction.
"We had fun at the pool"
As Iolo walks through the door of number 7, his phone rings, then Tyler runs downstairs with the washbasket and reports that they had fun at the pool.   He wonders why Iolo’s lunch is still in the box,
"I had a meal with Alun – my ex"
and Iolo admits he had a meal with Alun.
“Alun, my ex,” Iolo begins, “I went to fix his boiler – it was totally innocent,
"But he kissed me"
“but – he kissed me.”
This does not go down well with Tyler, who becomes angry;
Tyler flies into a rage
“You said you were going to fix a boiler!   You lied to me!   You met your ex while Greta and I were in the pool!”
Eileen and Jim go round to see Sara;  “We’d like to clear the air, so there’s no misunderstanding,” says Eileen,
"I understand perfectly what you said"
but Sara stresses that she understands perfectly what Jim said.   He suggests that she may have misinterpreted what he said.
“You said, ‘Thank goodness the baby is a picture of health.’   What did you mean by that?”
Eileen tries to explain . . .
Eileen explains that when someone her age is expecting a baby many things that go wrong and that is why it was a relief to hear that the baby was all right.
. . . but Sara overreacts, as usual
“What?   That it wasn’t a baby with Down’s Syndrome, you mean?” snarls Sara,
"I'm very sorry that I hurt you . . ."
and Eileen apologises if that was the way it came across, and so does Jim.   He can see that he has hurt her and is very sorry about that,
". . . that's the last thing I'd want to do"
as it is the last thing he would want to do.
"If we found ourselves in that position . . ."
Eileen adds that Ifan is a very special little boy, and Sara is a wonderful mother;  “If we found ourselves in that position, I don't know what we would do.   But I also know how much of a challenge it is – how much hard work, and I’m afraid I would not be able to cope”
They worry about their life expectancy
Jim continues, “It is wonderful that people with Down’s live much longer these days, and that would create a problem for a couple like us – we would not be on earth long enough to look after him.”
Sara is placated
Sara thanks them for coming round to apologise and being so honest;  she is very pleased for them.
"Why didn't you discuss it with me?"
When Garry returns to the Deri, he is scolded by Dani;  “You’re late –it’s five past four!   Why didn’t you discuss it with me first?”
"Because I knew what you would say"
He replies that he knew what she would say, and in any case, Gethin was only supposed to stay here temporarily.   Danny accuses him of being unreasonable;  “A week isn’t enough time to find a place to live!”
He explains that once Sheryl is back, it will all kick off again, and he is doing this for Hywel, his friend.
"Gethin's my brother – and he's staying!
The reply is, “Well, Gethin's my brother – and he's staying!”
"A compromise"
Garry suggests, “A compromise – another month, and then he’s out!”   Dani is surprised that he knows the meaning of the word ‘compromise’.
"I left when I realised what was going on"
Iolo is still insisting that he did not lie, but as soon as he realised what was going on, he left.
"You must have given him the 'come on'!"
However, Tyler is convinced that Iolo gave Alun the ‘come on’, and demands why else he would make a move.
"He said he has still not got over me"
“He said he regretted letting me go, and still had not got over me,” Iolo replies.
Tyler is intensely jealous
Tyler is seized with jealousy, and Iolo says that he has moved on;  “But it appears that we have a problem.”
"I'm not having another man kiss you!"
Tyler rages that he is not having another man kiss his husband, but Iolo points out that he is not the problem;  “The problem is you and me.”
Eifion promises that the joint will never leak again, and is taking the wrench back to Gethin;
"I know how difficult it is for you"
Cadno tells him she knows how he feels, and realises how difficult moving to the shop has been.

"I just have to accept it"
“I have to accept this is where we’ll be from now on,” he sighs,
"At least we still have each other"
and she tells him that they still have each other.
"You've got another month"
Dani reports to Gethin that her negotiations have given him another month – on condition that he stays away from Sheryl;
Gethin is going to work on Ffion
he will text Ffion to see if she and Arwen want to go out tomorrow.
"I pay her every Friday"
Ed asks Kelly when she will be settling the rent with Debbie, and is told that it will be every Friday.
She wonders why he wanted to talk to her;
"Spit it out, Ed – I haven't got all day!"
“Spit it out, Ed – I haven’t got all day!”
"About us moving in together . . ."
“It’s about us moving in together –
Kelly is full of eager anticipation
“I know its a huge step –
"It's too big a step for us at the moment"
“it’s too big a step for us the moment,” he says, and Kelly’s eager anticipation begins to evaporate.   “I realise it wasn’t fair on you, and it was stupid, now I’ve had time to reconsider.   The timing isn’t right at the moment, so can we just forget about it at the moment, please?”
The anticipation dissipates
Kelly tries to give the impression that it is no big deal.
"We've let things slip"
“We’ve let things slip – I can’t remember the last time we had a laugh together,” says Iolo, “Just you and me, enjoying each other’s company.   Perhaps that’s why I went to see Alun today – to have a different conversation.   Not having to worry about any responsibilities.”
"You're bored with me and Greta"
Tyler comes the conclusion that Iolo is bored with him and Greta, but Iolo insists that Tyler is the one he wants.
"This should be a wake-up call for both of us!"
“This should be a wake-up call for both of us – I love you and you love me, but if we want this to last, we have to make more of an effort.   It’s no good pretending that everything will be all right – life doesn’t work that way.   You and Greta are everything to me.”
"We are going to be OK, aren't we?"
Then Greta starts crying upstairs, and Iolo says he will go up, but first stops to ask, “We are going to be OK, aren’t we,”
They hug
is told that of course they are, and they hug.
