Cadno appeals for big strong workers
At Penrhewl, the moving process is under way;  Cadno tells Bobi and Arthur, “I need two big strong workers to help me move house today,” and they both volunteer.   “Let’s put these toys away and we can play with them in the shop.
"Where's the red tractor?"
“Where is the red tractor?   We can’t go without our favourite, can we?”
DJ has been applying for jobs, and is speaking to one potential employer on the phone, but receives a rebuff from them;
"Unsuitable, they said"
he tells Non that they said he was unsuitable for the job,
"I expect I'm blacklisted"
“but he assumes that he is blacklisted.   “While there is a question mark over me, I’ve got no chance!”
Non volunteers to help him, but he replies there is nothing she can do to help.
Non has an idea which might help
She tells him, “Before I gave Mark that kidney, I had counselling sessions – I learned how to relive what happened to Mam – revisit the way I felt – try to make sense of it all.   It was a great help, and things became clear to me.   If we tried it with Sioned, here in Bryntirion, she might remember.”
"You must not do that!"
DJ flatly forbids her to do such a thing, as he does not want Sioned complaining that Non is hassling her, then he goes out, looking for more jobs,
Non snaffles the house keys
and she follows him, picking up the house keys from the shelf.
"We'll be sleeping in Penrhewl tonight!"
In the shop flat, Eileen says, “I can’t believe we’ll be sleeping in Penrhewl tonight!”   Jim forbids her to pick up a box,
"We're tougher than you think"
despite her protestations that the baby and its mother are tougher than he thinks, but he will take no chances.
"Sioned gave me this"
She finds a vase which Sioned had given to her, and admits that she misses Sioned.
Jim suggests that when they have settled in, Eileen could invite her to the farm, but learns that she does not know that they are moving yet;  they have hardly spoken.   Jim warns that she does not want Sioned calling in the shop and finding Cadno working there.
"And tell her about the baby as well!"
“And while you’re at it, tell her about the baby as well!”
"What's this about a baby?"
Just at that moment Colin walks in, and wants to know what is this about a baby;
"It's a friend's baby"
they explain that it is a friend’s baby.
"It won't hit you until you walk out of the door"
“Today is the big day, then,” he comments, “It won’t hit you until you walk out of the door, and turn the little sign around to ‘CLOSED’ for the last time.”
She protests that she is only moving to Penrhewl, which is where she belongs, but Colin continues to reminisce,
"As if all these years in the shop never happened"
“It will be like all these years in the shop never happened.”
Meanwhile Eileen phones Sioned, asking her to come over,
"I'll be over there in a minute, Mam"
but Sioned, who is out in the street, is approached by Non,
"The truth has to come out"
who says, “We can’t go on like this – the truth has got to come out.   Listen, I’m not sure if this will work, but I think I might be able to jog your memory.”
Beware – the wicked witch is coming!
Gwyneth, who seems to keep a very close eye on Sioned, is already heading towards them as Non goes on, “Come to the bedroom in Bryntirion – I know it’s difficult, but something might come back to you.”
"I've got to go to the shop"
Gwyneth invites Sioned to the café, and she replies that she will be there in a couple of minutes.
"Please, Sioned, we all need to know the truth"
Then Non continues, “Please, Sioned, we all need to know the truth,” and she agrees.
Arthur does not know the location of the red tractor
Cadno still cannot find the red tractor, so tells the boys that they will have to go without it;
"This is going to be an adventure"
“It’s time to go now – this is going to be an adventure, and we enjoy adventures – do you want to go and see the cows for one last time?”
The last box is taken away . . .
The removals man takes away the box of toys,
. . . and Cadno takes a last look round
and Cadno looks wistfully around the empty room.
"What's going on?"
Sioned arrives at the shop flat and demands, “What’s going on?”
Eileen explains the move to Penrhewl
Her mother informs her that they are moving to Penrhewl, firstly to cut the farm’s links with the meat scandal.
"That's not the only reason"
“But it’s more complicated than that – it’s not the only reason.   I want to go back to the farm because it’s my home –
"You can come over for a meal"
“and when we get settled in, I would like to ask you to come over for a meal.”   Sioned would love that, and Eileen emphasises that it would be a chance to build bridges,
"I'm meeting Non at Bryntirion"
but Sioned has to leave as she is meeting Non at Bryntirion.
"Take it all, counter, shelves, till!"
In the shop, Colin is feeling low and invites Jim to take everything with him;  “The counter, shelves, till – everything.
"She can't wait to be gone"
“Eileen’s not going to miss me – you would think this shop would mean something after all these years – but no, nothing – she can’t wait!”
Then she comes in;  “The sooner we get organised, the sooner we can make the move – I can’t believe it’s actually going to happen!”
"I'll be out the back, with the empty boxes and the dust"
Colin tells her that he will be out the back, with the empty boxes and the dust.
"I didn't tell Sioned about the baby"
Eileen admits to Jim that she did not tell Sioned about the baby, as it was not the right time;
"Are you going to wait till the contractions start?"
he demands when the right time will be, but she is keen to finish the packing before Cadno arrives.
Sioned is hesitant about doing this . . .
Non and Sioned walk into the bedroom at Bryntirion, with some trepidation, and Sioned is invited to sit on the bed;
. . . and looks around nervously
she looks around.
Non begins, “When I had the counselling, it helped me come to terms with losing Mam.
She follows instructions
“Now, when you’re ready, close your eyes, breathe in through your nose . . . and out.”
"Do you know what you're doing?"
Sioned demands if she knows what she is doing, and Non admits she is no expert, but is trying to help her relax – and remember, hopefully.
Non relates the events of the evening
They resume, “We’d all been out to the Deri – it was a good night, no-one wanted to go home, so we all came back to Bryntirion, didn’t we?   Everyone was enjoying themselves –
"Then Gwyneth turned up"
“then Gwyneth turned up, and DJ did not want her there, do you remember?   But you wanted her to stay – that’s when it started getting out of hand – that truth or dare nonsense.   When Vicky and I went home, that’s when you must have come upstairs to bed.”
"He was here on the bed!"
Sioned is becoming upset, and insists, “He was here on the bed!”
"Where's Sioned?"
Gwyneth rushes into the shop flat, demanding where Sioned is, as she did not turn up at the café.
"She must still be at Bryntirion"
“Oh she must still be at Bryntirion,” replies Eileen,
"What's she doing there?"
and Gwyneth rushes out again.
"Could you hear them breathing?"
Non’s counselling session is still going on, and she assures Sioned that she is doing great;  “So you say that someone was here, on the bed – were you lying down?   Could you hear them breathing?”
"Someone was touching my hair"
Sioned confirms that they were right next to her, and someone was touching her hair.
They hear Gwyneth coming
Then they hear the sound of Gwyneth, coming up the stairs;  “What are you doing here?” Non demands, and Gwyneth orders Sioned to come with her.
"Someone took my clothes off!"
Ignoring her, Sioned remembers, “I didn’t take my clothes off – someone else did!”
"How much more will she remember?"
Gwyneth is becoming very worried,
"Someone was kissing me – and there was some kind of light"
but Sioned continues, “And then someone was kissing me, and after that there was some kind of light, but I can’t remember any more.”
Gwyneth is adamant that she has had enough now,
"I can't remember any more"
and Sioned leaves, with Non looking very disappointed.
They are all prepared to leave
Eileen and Jim are all ready to go when Cadno comes into the shop, trying to look cheerful;
"It will be an adventure"
“I’m looking forward to this,” she says, “As I told the boys, it will be an adventure, a fresh start.   The removal men will be here in a minute – I’ll take the boys through the back, so you can say ta-ra.
She tries to sound upbeat
“I’ll be thinking of you out there in all weathers, while I’m cosy in here!”
"Yeah, off you go – you can't wait to leave!"
Eileen says that they had better get moving, and Colin comments, “Yeah, off you go – there is no point making a meal of it – you can’t wait to leave!   You haven’t stopped smiling all morning.”
"I'm smiling to stop myself crying"
She explains that she has been smiling to stop herself from crying;  “We’re the dream team.   It will be nice to be back at Penrhewl,
"Something will be missing – you!"
“but there will be something missing – you!   But you can come up and help sometimes.”
She hugs Colin
They embrace.
"What are you doing here?"
DJ returns home and is disturbed that Non is already inside the house;  she shows him the keys
"I invited Sioned here"
and says that she invited Sioned there, but she has gone home now.   He demands to know what happened,
"Sioned cannot remember – sorry"
and she replies, “Nothing – Sioned cannot remember – sorry.”
The boys have reached their new home
Cadno and the boys have arrived in the shop flat;  she sends them to play in their new bedroom, so that she can find homes for all the things in the boxes.
Colin arrives with a present
Colin comes in, pointing out that the door was always open with Eileen.   He has bought her a welcome present, a toaster,

"I'll be back at lunchtime to help"
and says he will be back up at lunchtime to help her with the unpacking,
"That won't be necessary, Colin"
but she insists that there is no need.
Then she informs him that there is no need to come in tomorrow,
"I always work on Wednesdays!"
but he protests that he always works on Wednesdays.   “I want to look at the rota first –
"I'd like to have a day on my own"
“I’d like to have a day on my own, to find my feet,” she advises him, “I’m sure you understand.”
And the red tractor materialises
She turns to the unpacking, and the first box that she looks at contains the red tractor.
"I think you love that oven more than me!"
Eileen walks around the familiar kitchen at Penrhewl;  “I think you love that oven more than me!” jokes Jim.
"It's as though I never left"
She says that it is as though she never left, and adds that Cadno was excited on the outside, perhaps, but her heart is probably sinking;  “Especially without that waster Eifion around to comfort her.
"You've got enough on your plate"
Jim reminds her that she has enough on her plate without worrying about Cadno.
“You focus on the little one,” he says, “I can see it now, him or her, playing out there in wellies!
"We've got a lot of work ahead of us"
“We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, to get this place back on its feet – it won’t be easy.”   Eileen points out that they have never made things easy for themselves –
"We have Gwion the farmhand"
and they do have Gwion the farmhand, so they will not be on their own.
"We're going to make this work!"
They did not have any choice, and now they are going to make it work.
"You don't want everyone to see you like this!"
Sioned is marching along the High Street with Gwyneth in hot pursuit;  “You don’t want everyone to see you like this – come home!
"You can't deny it any more – you have been raped!
“You can’t deny it any more – you have been raped!”
"I'm always here for you"
As DJ appears in the background, she continues, “It’s OK – I’m always here for you.”
Then she notices DJ
As she embraces Sioned, she notices DJ and scowls at him,
DJ watches Sioned head back to the flat
then leads Sioned back to the flat.
