"Every password has been changed now"
In the café, Sara tells Jason that every password has now been changed, and there is no point in him trying to guess them;
Gwen is stocking up with milk from the shop
he thinks there is no point in him having a phone any more, but she informs him he can have a basic phone.
"Don't forget our appointment at the bank"
“Don’t forget our appointment at the bank,” she reminds him, “It’s not my fault we have to do this!”
"I'm in no hurry to see Dai"
He wants to finish his cup of coffee, as he is in no hurry to see Dai;  “Well tough – because you’ve got some making up to do,” Sara informs him.   Jason realises that he has to show willing, and will see Sara later.
"What's going on, Sara?"
Kelly asks Sara what is going on, and is told that everything is sorted now;  “What lies has he been telling you?” Kelly demands,
"We understand each other now"
and Sara replies that they understand each other, but will not reveal any more details, which Kelly finds very annoying.
Ed is pleased to see they are back together again,
"What is going on, Ed?"
but Kelly comments, “On the surface, perhaps – what is going on, Ed?”   He suspects that it must be something serious.
Dai is still giving Diane the silent treatment
At Bryntirion, as Dai prepares his own sandwiches, Diane says, “There’s a lot to be said for this – I don’t have to make your dinner, or have to listen to you complaining.
"I can clear the shed of all all your junk"
“To be honest, I’m glad I’ve got a day off today – I’ll have a chance to clear the shed of all the junk you've collected over the years.   Golf clubs, rugby trophies – and that brewing equipment you’ve got.”
Dai tries hard to keep quiet
Dai is seriously tempted to say something, but manages to resist, as she continues, “After making a penny or two on the contents of the shed, I might look into booking a holiday in Spain – for myself.
"There's no point in you coming with me"
“Well, if you’re not talking to me, there’s no point in you coming with me.   And you never know, I might meet a golfer out there who can play golf.
"Behave today – it's not easy for Jason"
“Listen, Dai – behave today!   It’s not easy for Jason.”
He goes to work, still remaining silent
Dai manages to leave the house without saying a word.
Colin urges Aaron to hurry with his breakfast as they are late;
Aaron goes to get dressed
when he goes to get dressed, Colin tells Garry that he has phoned and texted multiple times and Britt is not answering.
"She's obviously sulking – but where?"
Are“She’s obviously sulking, but where?   That’s the question!   Aaron phoned her yesterday, but she didn’t answer him either.”
"Perhaps you should apologise, Col"
Garry concludes that perhaps Colin should apologise, although he has nothing to apologise for;  “For the children’s sake.”
"I'm not interested in playing games"
BeenColin insists that he is not interested in playing games;  “Not talking, making someone worried – it’s childish!”   Garry wonders how he can be sure she is playing games if she will not answer.   Then he shouts to Catrin and Aaron that they have ten seconds.
Again, Colin phones Britt
Colin again calls Britt, but when she sees his name appear on her phone,
"Don't you think it's time to face him?"
she rejects the call.   “Don’t you think it’s time to face him?” Gwyneth demands, and Britt complains that she is turning into a real nag.
"He must have learned his lesson by now"
“He must have learned his lesson by now,” Gwyneth continues, desperate to get Britt out of her flat.
"We're going out for some fresh air!"
She gives Britt her coat, and snarls, “Come out for some fresh air!”
Ricky is about to take the jewellery for valuation
At Maes-y-Deri, Ricky is putting the items of jewellery into a plastic container, and Debbie considers looking for a holiday;  “I’m taking this bill back to Dai Ashurst, before he hears about our windfall,” she says.
"These may be worth thousands!"
“Mam, these may be worth thousands – I think we can pay the Deri £200,” Ricky suggests, but she insists that it is a matter of principle.   Ricky leaves for Carmarthen, and Mark hopes he does not get mugged;  as he opens the door, DJ comes in, wanting to talk to Mark.
"I think you should hear what Non said"
DJ announces, “I’ve been to see Non, and I think you should hear what she said.”   Mark invites him to sit down.
"Madge and I are running the chip shop"
As soon as Gwyneth and Britt get into the street, they see Ed, who reports that he is not doing too badly, considering that he and Madge are running the chip shop.
She lies about not feeling well
Britt gives the excuse that she has not feeling well, but Ed comments, “I heard you were having a Christmas break.”
She replies, “Yes, sorry about that – I needed a break due to stress – this is the first time I’ve left the flat, and I’ll be in later.”
"You should have let us know"
Ed chides her for not letting them know, and Gwyneth tells him not to worry, as she will sort Britt out.
"Thank you, John"
John Post is just leaving the shop as Gwyneth comes in;
"You want her home, and I don't want her in my flat!"
“Right, I’ll be straight with you,” she tells Colin, “You want her home, and I don’t want her in the flat any more!”
"She's with you, is she?"
He is surprised that Britt is with Gwyneth;  “It wasn’t my choice, believe me,” Gwyneth groans, “Phoning her over and over again isn’t working, is it?”
He demands, “What am I supposed to do when I don’t know where she is, what she’s doing?”
"Depending on how quickly Kelly cooks my sausages"
Gwyneth advises him that they will be in the café for half an hour, depending on how quickly Kelly cooks her sausages;  “Come and talk to her – and make a good job of it, for goodness’ sake!”
Jason has been sweeping up
Jason has been sweeping up, and is detailed by Dai to dust the shelves next;  Jason protests that he is not a cleaner,
"You are whatever I tell you from now on!"
but Dai insists, “You are whatever I tell you from now on!   If you don’t like it, you know where the door is!”
Garry wants a new padlock
Garry is at that moment coming through the door, and wants a new padlock for the garage, as the current one is rather dodgy.
Most expensive padlock — £2.15?
Jason finds him one, commenting, “This is the most expensive we’ve got, but it won’t let you down – it’s £2.15.”
"I do the till, remember?"
Dai reminds him, “I do the till, remember?” then remarks to Garry, “The bill for that engagement party –
"Maes-y-Deri will pay, as it was their party"
“Maes-y-Deri will pay, as it was their party.”   Garry does not care who pays, as long as he gets the money.
Jason says that Dai is making a fool of himself;
"If I had my way, you wouldn't come near this place!"
Dai growls, “Me?   Look here, Pharaoh, if I had my way, you wouldn’t come near this place!   We both know, sooner or later, you will make a mess of things again –
"When you do, I'll be ready for you!"
“and when you do, I’ll be ready for you!”
"Bloomin' Nora!"
Then he opens one item of post, and exclaims, “Bloomin’ Nora!   I’ll give those Joneses . . !”
"Look, Mark, she didn't have a family"
DJ explains, “She didn’t have a family,” but Mark has heard all this before,
"She should have told the truth"
and insists that she should have told the truth.   “Her head was all over the place – and Mererid is largely to blame for this mess, too,” DJ goes on, “Whatever Non is – or Bethan –
"Her heart was in the right place – she gave you a kidney"
“her heart was in the right place – she gave you a kidney!”
Mark admits that he knows this, but just cannot get over the deception, and DJ says he is confused most of the time.
"Look, Mark, I love her!"
“Look, Mark, I love her!”
"It's up to you what you do with your life"
Mark responds, “I’m not the one you should be discussing this with,” but DJ asks whether Mark would mind if he rekindled things with Non.   “It’s up to you what you do with your life,” he replies.
"She's still the same person deep down"
“She’s still the same person deep down,” DJ points out, but Mark is adamant she is not his sister – he knows that much.
Britt sees Colin coming
In the café, Britt is dismayed to see Colin coming in through the door;
"This has gone on long enough!"
he forcibly tells her, “This has gone on long enough now.   It’s time for you to come home.”
"You can't tell me what to do, Colin Evans!"
“You can’t tell me what to do, Colin Evans!” she stresses, and he appreciates that, but misses her at home;
"The bed is cold, and the flat is lifeless"
he says that the bed is cold, and the flat is lifeless.   He begs her to come home, as the children are lost without her.
"What have the children got to do with this?"
“What have the children got to do with this?” she demands, “Don’t use the children – emotional blackmail won’t work!”   When Gwyneth remarks that is not what Colin means, she snarls, “You’re on Colin’s side, are you?
"I'll pack a case and go back to Gwyneth's!"
“I’m not coming home under these circumstances, except to pack a case to go back to Gwyneth’s!”
DJ arrives again at Non's front door
DJ, this time equipped with some flowers, again knocks on Non’s door, but there is no reply;
No-one appears to be at home
he peers in through a window, and then knocks again.
Then he finds a note with his name on it . . .
In a pot by the door he sees an envelope with his name on it,
. . . and looks very worried
and looks very worried.
Jason counts the boxes
Jason is counting the boxes which have been delivered, while Dai stands watching him;  “You should have done this before signing for the delivery,” Jason says, and Dai maintains that he is a very busy man.
"Shut up, or you'll be counting every nail and screw in the place"
Sara comes round the corner, to hear Dai threaten, “Shut up, or you’ll be counting every nail and screw in the place!”   She asks if Jason is ready for their appointment, but Dai objects;  “We don’t have flexi-hours here!”
"Sara has to hold your hand everywhere you go!"
Sara explains they are going to the bank;  Dai mocks, “Oh, that’s how it is now – Sara has to hold your hand everywhere you go, like a child!”
"You're the one acting like a child!"
She answers him, “It’s odd you should say that, because you are the one acting like a child!”
DJ finds a note and some money
DJ has opened the envelope, finding a note and some money inside;
What he reads reduces him to tears
he is reduced to tears.
"What did you say to DJ?"
Debbie asks Mark what he said to DJ;  “I said that it’s up to him,” he replies, but she is concerned that he may bring Non back to Cwmderi.   “I don’t want anything to do with her,” emphasises Mark.
Ricky's journey was not as fruitful as expected
Ricky returns, not looking particularly elated,
He has £50 as the scrap gold value
and places five £10 notes on the table.   “They were worthless – I got that from Cash for Gold.
"It was tat, Mam!"
“It was tat, Mam – junk!   Sorry for raising your hopes.”
"I was going to take you to Torremolinos"
Debbie laments, “But I was going to take you to Torremolinos to see your Gran.”   Mark would prefer to stay in Cwmderi.   “I thought our luck was changing for once!” she sighs.
"At least, we've got rid of Gareth!"
Mark invites her to think of the positives;  “At least, we’ve got rid of Gareth!   All right, Debs, we’re all healthy – and we know not to take that for granted.”
"There's enough for a night in Tapas!"
Ricky comments that there may not be enough to go to Spain, but there is enough for a night in Tapas.
Jason cuts up his credit cards
Back at home, Jason is equipped with a pair of scissors, and ceremonially cuts up his credit cards;
"I'm willing to do anything – even put up with Dai!"
“See, I am willing to do anything – even put up with Dai,” he says.
She maintains that Dai needs to be brought down a peg or two;  “But it’s only fair that he wants to punish you for what you did.”
"Here's the last one, Jason"
Then his mother comes visiting, as he cuts the last card into pieces, and Sara says they are following Sandra’s advice.
"Jason can't get hold of any money now"
“Jason can’t get hold of any money now,” she advises, and Diane is going to take steps with APD’s accounts.
"Has Dai hidden it in a Swiss bank account?"
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Dai had hidden it all in a Swiss bank account by now,” mocks Jason,
"You stole £15,000 from the business!"
and Sara reminds him that he has stolen £15,000 from the business, but now they have to look to the future.
“Although our savings have taken a hit, we’ve still got enough to buy this house,” she adds,
"I hope you're taking this seriously!"
and Diane hopes that Jason is taking this seriously, as he has hurt a lot of people, especially Sara.
"Let this be a lesson to you!"
“Let this be a lesson to you,” she declares, “Mind you, we all have our weaknesses, I suppose.   Tell me, how was Dai with you today?”
They have just enough for a round of drinks
The Joneses come into the Deri;  “A meal, a bottle of wine, pudding and enough left for one round!” exclaims Debbie.   Mark jokes that he is almost missing Gareth, and she offers to buy another one.
"Garry, another drink!"
Britt is at the bar, and calls to Garry for another drink;  “I need one after today!”
"You've already had one too many!"
His opinion is that she has had one too many, but she insists she is old enough to make her own decisions.
"Britt hasn't been near the chip shop for weeks"
At the other end of the bar, Ed mentions to Garry that Britt has not been near the chip shop for weeks, and as a result he and Madge are struggling.   Garry says that he will sort something out.
"This childish nonsense has to stop!"
Diane comes in for a word with Dai;  “About the way you’re treating Jason – this childish nonsense has to stop.   Jason is trying, but one push could send him over the edge again.
"Otherwise it will be over for us as a family!"
“If you’re responsible for that, it will be over for us as a family.”
"A double G&T – or I'll get it myself!"
By this time, Britt is becoming aggressive;  she bangs the bar and demands, “Garry, a double G&T now – or I’ll get it myself!”   He calmly advises her to go home now, as she is making a fool of herself.
"You can't tell me what to do!"
She will not be told what to do, as she is part owner of the place.
Dai returns the party bill to the Joneses
Dai declares that he is not paying the bill for the Deri, and that is the end of the matter.
"This mess is your fault, and you're paying the bill!"
Debbie tells him, “You went to Brecon to start nosing, so this mess is your fault, and you’re paying the bill!”
"That fraudster had nothing to do with my family!"
Just as DJ comes into the Deri, Dai retorts, “Listen to me, Debbie Collins, that fraudster had nothing to do with my family when she came, so you’re paying!”
"The fraudster insists on paying for it!"
DJ comes up to the bar, and informs his father, “Don’t worry, the fraudster insists on paying for it all.   Isn’t she a horrible cow?
Non  has gone to Ghana, a long way from Cwmderi!"
“And don’t you worry, Non – and her legal name is Non – has gone to Ghana, a long way from Cwmderi!   She didn’t come back because you, Mark, wouldn’t forgive her!
He hopes that Mark is happy now
“I hope you’re happy now!”
Britt almost falls to the floor . . .
Protesting about Diane’s attempt to calm him down, he steps backwards and bumps into the inebriated Britt, who overbalances.
. . . and Garry tells her and DJ to go home
Garry loses his temper and shouts, “Gwyneth, take her home!   DJ – home!   And anyone else who wants to cause trouble, get out!   I’m not in the mood!”
"I don't want to be around this bore anyway!"
Britt declares, “I don’t want to be around this bore anyway!”
"I thought you were more of a man than that, Garry"
Gwyneth is furious that she is left to look after Britt;  “I thought you were more of a man than that, Garry!” she moans.
Colin notices Britt emerge from the Deri . . .
As they come out of the Deri, Colin is about to go into the chip shop flat;
. . . and stagger all over the road
he watches as Britt staggers all over the road,
He looks concerned
and he looks concerned.
