"They're due back any minute!"

When Eifion comes into the farmhouse, Sioned is lounging on the sofa;  He urges her, “We don’t have much time – they’re due back any minute, and Eileen will want the place clean, with a new baby.”  

"Was seeing Tyler in his pants giving you palpitations?"

She is more interested in why he left number 7;  “Was seeing Tyler in his pants giving you heart palpitations?   I think you know what I mean!”   

"That phase is over"

Eifion makes it quite clear that phase of his life is over, and she should not suggest otherwise.   Now that he is back here, he can get back to normal;  

"There's washing-up which needs to be done"

he points out to her the washing-up which needs to be done.

"One Christmas pudding!"

Kath is moaning to Colin in the shop, “Do you know what I got from Scrooge after all that?   One Christmas pudding!   Are you listening to a word I’m saying?   

"Do you need to get something off your chest?"

“Do you need to get something off your chest?”   

After denying that anything is wrong, 

"Britt and I had quite a big ding-dong!"

he finally admits, “Britt and I had quite a big ding-dong last night.”   Kath is not surprised, maintaining that Britt is up one minute and down the next;  

"Well, you know what she's like"

he has known what she is like from the start.   

“Yes, Kath, and that’s why I know this is different,” he groans, “I don’t know what I’m going to get from one day to the next – 

"Her moods are jumping from one extreme to the other"

“her moods are jumping from one extreme to the other.”   Kath wonders if she is taking anything, 

She raises the suspicion of drug misuse

as she knows how being a drug addict can affect moods.   

"What – like prescription drugs?"

“What – like prescription drugs and things?” he asks.

She points out that you have to be careful or you can lose control;  “You should keep an eye on her.”   He will do this, and is very grateful to Kath for the advice.

Garry is glad of the way she dealt with the Aaron business

Garry sees Gaynor in the street and thanks her for the way she dealt with that business with Aaron;  “I really appreciate it – and to prove it, 

"I insist you come over for a meal tonight"

“I insist you come over for a meal, tonight.   What do you say?”   She is very surprised, and agrees to come.

Eileen and Huw-John arrive home . . . 

Jim has brought home Eileen and the baby;  

. . . are are welcomed by Eifion and Sioned 

they are welcomed back by Sioned and Eifion.   

"Here's your big sister"

“Here’s your big sister,” says Eileen, and that she is surprised to hear that Eifion has been helping to tidy up the place.

“It’s the least I can do, when you’ve been some kind,” he begins, and Eileen wonders what he means.   

"You haven't told her, have you?"

“You haven’t told her, have you?” he says to Jim, and Eileen wants to know what is going on.

"Eifion has moved back here to live"

“Eifion has moved back here to live,” Jim tells her, “Come on, as Sioned said, we don’t want to let Huwi get cold.”

The drug-taking rumour begins to spread

In the shop, Iolo has been told of Colin’s suspicions, and comments, incredulously, “Drugs?”   Colin has assumed that Kath’s diagnosis is correct, 

"No wonder you quarrelled!"

and Iolo sympathises, “Poor Britt – no wonder you quarrelled.”   

"It's not a good idea to speak to her about it!"

Colin says that he is not sure of anything any more, and that it is not a good idea to speak to her about it, as she will go mad – and he might be wrong anyway.

"There must be another way"

“You won’t know if you don’t ask,” Iolo tells him, but Colin replies that there must be another way.

The atmosphere at Penrhewl is rather fraught;  “Today was meant to be a happy day,” says Jim, 

"It was, until you spoilt it!"

and Eileen answers that it was, until he spoilt it.   “I just forgot to tell you,” he argues, but she regards it as going behind her back.

"It will be easier if Eifion lives in Penrhewl"

Jim insists, “It makes sense – it will be easier for Eifion to do his job if he lives in Penrhewl.”   

Eifion is embarrassed they are talking about him

Eifion offers to go outside while they talk about him, but Eileen emphasises she just wants her husband to talk to her before taking major decisions. 

She wonders if there is anything else that she has not heard about, 

Eileen is furious at how far behind the orders are

but then notices that Jim is very far behind with the orders.   “How can we supply them in time?” she demands.   

"Kath Jones has been trying to muscle her way in"

He replies that it could be much worse, as Kath Jones has been trying to muscle her way into the business;  in fact she made the chutney.   

"She's bound to cheat on us somehow"

He is convinced, “She’s bound to cheat on us somehow!” but Eileen demands how she can cheat by making chutney – they need someone to make chutney – and Kath Jones can make chutney.

"Do you have anyone better in mind?"

“Problem solved – do you have anyone better in mind?   You owe me you more than one favour already,” she instructs Jim, “If you want Eifion to live here, go and to see Kath!”

"Which one should I wear?"

Colin has gone to visit Gaynor, who wonders which of her dresses to wear for the meal tonight;  she asks him what he wants.   “Um . . . Britt . . . her behaviour is a bit weird,” 

"That's pretty normal for Britt"

but Gaynor does not think that is anything unusual.   

"We suspect she might be taking prescription drugs"

“Kath and Iolo suspect she might be taking prescription drugs.”    Gaynor does not know what she is expected to say, and demands why he wants her opinion.

"Have you spoken to Garry"

“The person who knows her well is Garry – have you spoken to him?” she asks, and hurries upstairs to change.

Jim goes to Maes-y-Deri, and Kath comments, “What do you want?   Don’t you have a baby to look after?”

"Don't make this more difficult"

“Don’t make it this more difficult than it already is,” he groans, “Eileen liked the chutneys.”   

"I have Auntie Margaret's talent"

Kath knew that she would, as she has her Auntie Margaret’s talent.   

"I'm asking you to come back to work for us"

“I’m here to ask you to come back to work for us!” he growls, but she thinks that it does not sound as if he treally wants her to come back.

“Well, I do – right?” he snarls, and she replies that she may return, when they have discussed money.   

"£10 an hour, then"

He reluctantly proposes, “£10 an hour, then,” but she objects that it is lower than the minimum wage, which he disputes.   “It’s £10 or nothing!” he shouts.

"I might come down to £18, at a pinch"

She is determined it should be £20;  “I might come down to £18 at a pinch!” and Jim is about to leave.   

"Forget it, then!"

“We’re haggling here – don’t walk away!” she says, but he tells her to forget it.

"You look nice, Gaynor"

Gaynor arrives at the Deri, and Garry compliments her on her appearance;  

She would welcome a G&T

he suggests a G&T as an aperitif.   

Then he realises she is under a misapprehension

Then he realises, “Did you think we were having a meal for two upstairs?   

"I'm sorry, I'm on duty tonight"

“I’m sorry, I’m on duty tonight – take a seat, and I’ll make it a large one, on the house.”   

Gaynor does not look very happy about this

As she goes to sit down, she looked decidedly put out.

Eifion goes out into the farmyard, and Sioned chases after him;  “Fed up with all the baby talk, are you?” he says, but she just wanted some fresh air.   

"I'm fetching my stuff, before Eileen changes her mind"

He is off to number 7 to fetch his stuff, before Eileen changes her mind.   

"Why is the Grindr app still on your phone?"

She has brought him his phone, which she left in the house, and queries why the Grindr app (social networking site for homosexuals and other deviants) is still on it;  

"Why are you living a lie?"

“Why are you living a lie?   What does it matter if you’re bisexual or whatever?”   

"You don't understand, Sioned"

He says that she does not understand, 

"You like to sleep with men, and insist you're straight

so she goes on, “You’re not gay or bisexual, but you like to sleep with men, and you insist you’re straight.   It doesn’t make sense – do you know what?   

"It's your life – John!"

“I won’t say anything – it’s your life – John!”

Kath Jones arrives

At that moment, Kath drives into the farmyard, 

"Perhaps you should sort out your own problems"

as Eifion rather angrily suggests to Sioned, “Perhaps you should sort out your own problems before making fun of me.   

"Who's living a lie now?"

“You’ve hardly glanced at your baby brother – who’s living a lie now?”

"Which part of 'Employ Kath' didn't you understand?"

Inside the farm, Eileen demands, “Which part of ‘Employ Kath’ didn't you understand, Jim? You walked away!”   He insists that Kath was being unreasonable, 

"Ah, there he is"

but at that moment she walks in, ostensibly to see the baby.

"Hello, Huwi-John!"

“What’s his name again?” she asks Sioned, and when told, says, “Hello, Huwi-John!”

"We need you, and you need us!"

“You can stop the act now, Kath!” Eileen tells her, “We need you, and you need us!”   Kath maintains that she does not know what Eileen is talking about.   “For your services over the Christmas period, how much do you want?”

Her demands have moderated since earlier

Kath has by now moderated her demands, and replies, “£15 an hour,” but Eileen will give her £12 – and they finally agree on £13.   

"There you are, Jimbo – that's how to do business!"

“There you are, Jimbo – that’s how to do business!” smiles Kath.

"I'm moving out"

At number 7, Eifion come downstairs with his belongings, and advises Iolo that he is moving out;  

He gives Iolo a farewell gift

he gives Iolo a bottle to show his gratitude, and says that the baby is doing well.   

"I'm back where I'm meant to be"

“I’m back where I’m meant to be – so of course I’ll be OK!”   Iolo wishes him good luck.

Gaynor has rapidly finished the bottle

In the Deri, where Gaynor has finished the bottle of wine, 

Garry gets some ribbing from Tyler

Tyler winds up Garry, “Fancy leading Gaynor on, while Dani’s away!” 

Garry points out that he offered her a free meal, nothing more, as she is lonely.   “She might have heard about Hywel and Ffion snogging,” he remarks, which surprises Tyler.

"You drank that wine rather quickly"

Garry asks Gaynor if she enjoyed her meal, and he comments that she drank the bottle of wine rather quickly.   

"Come and sit with me, Garry"

She invites him to sit with her, as she feels silly sitting alone, 

"Sorry, I'm working"

but he declines as he is working.   “What if I cooked you a meal to thank you for tonight?” she suggests.

"Take her home, Tyler"

Garry instructs Tyler to take Gaynor home, while she still has a chance of going to work tomorrow, but Tyler says that it is nothing to do with him.   

She is helped out of the Deri 

Nevertheless he reminds her that there is school tomorrow, and she leaves the Deri rather unsteadily.

"It looks as if you have another fan"

Sioned is at the bar and orders a large red wine;  she comments that it looks as if he has another fan.   “That’s what happens when I try to be kind,” he says, 

"People like you and me haven't been made to be nice"

“People like you and me haven’t been made to be nice.   

"I thought you would be happier"

“I thought you would be happier – aren’t Eileen and the baby home today?”

"At times like this . . ."

She replies, “I am happy for them – just, at times like this . . .” but says no more.

"Do you think Britt is on drugs?"

Then Colin comes in, wanting a word with Garry;  “Do you think Britt is on drugs?”   

"You must be, if you think that!"

Garry replies that he thinks Colin is on drugs, asking something like that.   He maintains that Britt does not need drugs, but Colin can think of no other explanation.

“I saw Britt last night – she was drunk, yes, but she’s not taking anything,” is Garry’s considered opinion, “As I said yesterday, don’t worry.”

"I don't know what to think, Iolo!"

Iolo arrives, and Colin tells him. “I don’t know what to think – Garry doesn’t think she’s on drugs.”   Iolo predicts that he is going to make himself ill, and he knows what he has to do.   

"Speak to Britt, rather than spreading rumours"

He must speak to Britt, rather than spreading rumours around Cwmderi.

"Isn't he lovely?   Nothing like Jim!""

At Penrhewl, Kath remarks on how lovely the baby is;  “He’s nothing like Jim, thank goodness!”   Eileen replies that Jim is lovely – in his own way.   

She wants an advance on her wages . . .

Kath raises the subject, “Is there any chance of a sub on the first pay packet?   Something like £20 would be handy.”  

. . . but is immediately turned down by Eileen 

Eileen warns her not to ask again;  “If I did it once, you would expect it every time.”   

"Here are next week's orders"

Eileen calls up the list of orders for next week, 

"As many as that?"

and Kath is rather intimidated by the number of orders.

Gaynor appears to be feeling rather flamboyant

Gaynor has managed to reach home, and invites Tyler to have a cup of tea with her, 

"I have to go and meet Iolo"

but he has to go as he is meeting Iolo.   

"What's wrong with me, Tyler?"

She sits down sadly, and demands, “What’s wrong with me, Tyler?   I just can’t hold on to any man, can I?    And this house is so empty – please don’t think I’m after Garry, after tonight – I’d never do that to Dani.   I just want an excuse to leave the house – some company.   You go back to Iolo – 

"You don't want to lose Iolo – and end up like me!"

“you don’t want to lose him – and end up like me!  But I’m a survivor, you know – I will be fine.”

Gaynor does not appear to be 'fine'

But as Tyler leaves the house, she does not look particularly fine.
