Sara is preparing to go out with Ifan; “I think we’ve got everything,” she tells him, and Jason comes downstairs to say goodbye to him.

“Are you sure you feel OK? You look terrible, Jason!” she says, “I’m worried about you, that’s all – and you were up in the middle of the night again.”
He admits that she might be right, as there are always bugs around at this time of year;

They exchange a 'high five' |
and they exchange a ‘high-five’. Sara gives Jason an old phone until he gets a replacement,

and remarks to Ifan, “Silly Dadi, dropping his phone!”

"Can you get some food? There's a list on the fridge" |
She also wants Jason to do some food shopping this afternoon – there is a list on the fridge – but he does not think he will have time, as he has to catch up with things in the yard, but he finally agrees.

As she leaves, she tells him to do something about his shirt, which he is wearing inside out.

"How are Eileen and the baby?" |
In the shop, Gaynor meets Jim and asks about Eileen and the baby;

Jim tells her a tale of woe about Gwion the farmhand, who has broken his leg.

Eifion has just come in, and as Jim informs Gaynor, “There’s a puddle of oil under the tractor this morning!”

Jason goes to the cashpoint, but his card is rejected; then his mother, looking very serious, wants a word with him.

"That money is missing, Jason!" |
“What are you doing? I checked the books again – and that money is missing! You know it is – I’ve been through the books, accounts, everything.

"£15,000 – what's going on?" |
“There is £15,000 missing – what’s going on?”

He talks vaguely about moving money around |
He tries to explain that he has had to move the money around, but she wants to know, “Where have you moved £15,000 of APD’s money?” He concocts a story about paying a supplier for a job, then he had to subcontract it to another company,

"Did you get the money back?" |
but she simply demands, “Did you get the money back? If so, where is it?” He repeats that he just had to shift money around.

"I want it in APD's account by tomorrow!" |
“Well, shift it now! I want the money back in APD’s account by tomorrow!” Diane demands, and he agrees, but is worried whether Dai knows about it. “You lied to my face, Jason!” she exclaims, “You said the money was there – and you made me think it was my fault. I know there’s something going on.”

He once more pleads for time to put the money back, and she instructs him to do it now.

Ffion meets Gaynor by the café; “I take it that you’re still not happy you have to take time off,” Gaynor realises,

but Ffion protests that she is making it sound like a yoga weekend, rather than a punishment – what else would she call being suspended?

"Take the time to sort yourself out" |
Gaynor maintains that she could take the time to sort herself out, but Ffion is adamant that she cannot do that staring at four walls, but is told that she is on full pay, so should go out and enjoy herself.

“That’s exactly what I feel like doing – but everyone I know is at work,” she snarls, and goes into the café.

Jason has found his way to the casino once again,

but this time, with his rather depleted funds,

"How is your neck, then?" |
Hywel sees Ffion in the café, and asks about her neck, which is much better after Rhys’ ministrations; “The girls enjoyed their time together – perhaps we could do it again,” he suggests,

and Ffion replies that she does not have anything better to do. Hywel had not heard that she was suspended from school, and she tells him about the business with Aaron.

“You’re still being paid – and you’re off work? Two months off work on full pay – and you’re annoyed?” he says, incredulously,

Jim comes into the farmhouse and hears a noise; he equips himself with an umbrella and investigates. He throws open the kitchen door,

and launches himself into the room, with an earsplitting cry, scaring Eifion,

"I don't think you'll do much damage with that!" |
who doubts he could do much damage with an umbrella. “I heard the tractor had problems, so I came to help – the door was open, and I needed the key to the shed – I’m only trying to help.

Jim stubbornly refuses to acknowledge that he needs help; “I want people I can trust working here!” he says, “Right, are you leaving? I don’t need your help!”

Eifion takes the hint and goes.

Dai is pleased to see Ifan |
Sara, looking for Jason, brings Ifan into APD, where he is greeted by Dai, and Sara reports that he has just been sick; she thinks he has a temperature. “We’re on our way home now, but I’m looking for Jason,” she says.

Dai was under the impression he was at home, as he said he had something to do, but Sara says he went shopping ages ago and then he was coming to APD afterwards; “I tried phoning him, but there’s no answer.” Diane’s suspicions grow.

Arwen takes Esther’s hand, as they approach the shop, and Hywel asks what Ffion is going to do with all the time on her hands, but she has no idea.

“Although Gaynor said it was not an official disciplinary, it still feels like it,” she says,

but Hywel raises the possibility that they only want to make sure she is all right.

She wonders how much longer Gethin’s actions will affect her, adding, “What he did will affect you and Esther for ever.” He appreciates it is not easy for her either, but she is fed up with sitting at home, thinking. She was actually looking forward to going back to school;

Jim comes into the Deri and explains to Gaynor that he did not have any food in the house; she insists on buying him a drink. “Have they mentioned when Huwi will be allowed to come home?” she asks,

and Jim hopes that it will be some time next week.

He shows her the photo on his phone; “He was born two years, to the week, since Courtney died,” he says,

and Gaynor maintains that she would have been very proud of him.

Then Eifion appears, and wants to apologise for interfering at Penrhewl; “I heard you say that Gwion was off sick, and I know you’re up to your eyes.”

Jim is still adamant that he needs no help from Eifion; he reminds Jim, “But I did help Eileen the other day, didn’t I?

Jim makes no reply, but goes to sit down.

Hywel tells Ffion that Gaynor is only trying to help; “Perhaps she is right as well,” Ffion concedes. Hywel thinks that she went back to work too soon, but she just wanted to get out of that house.

“For what Gethin did to Sheryl, to you, to all of us – I hate him! But there are still times when I miss him – there must be something wrong with me!”

He feels the same about Sheryl; “I know she betrayed me, but she’s the one I want to tell if Esther does something new, or funny.”

Ffion says that the nights are the worst; “Going to bed with no-one to say good night to you – and then I can’t sleep when I’m there.” Hywel agrees that he is something of a zombie these days as well.

then she notices that in his hand is Ifan’s money-box, and he tells her that it is almost full, and they should take it to the bank.

When she goes to the fridge, she finds that he has not been shopping

and demands, “Where is the food, Jason? What have you been doing all day?” This time he is stuck for an answer.
Hywel predicts that the children will sleep well tonight, and he thought his arms would drop off, pushing the swings,

but when he brings a cup of tea for Ffion, he finds her asleep on the sofa.

“Good night,” he says.

Jim has had a change of heart |
Jim has had time to think, and admits to Eifion, “All right, perhaps you are right, and I do need help, but letting yourself into the house isn’t the right way to go about it!”

Eifion again apologises, but points out, “You agree that you need help, and I need the work,

“See you early tomorrow morning, then,” Jim tells him, and Eifion refers to him as ‘boss’. “Another thing – I do appreciate what you did for Eileen and Huwi,” Jim adds,

and shakes Eifion’s hand, but Eifion does not look particularly relieved.

Now he lies that he lost his wallet |
Jason has been spinning some more lies, to the effect that he lost his wallet, and he thinks it may have been on the bus.

She wonders how it happened, adding, “So you lost your cards as well?” and he explains that is where he has been all day, cancelling the cards at the bank.
“Have you phoned the bus company?” she asks,

and he lies that no-one has handed in a wallet there, so someone has stolen it. She comes to the conclusion that it is not all his fault, and will go out to get something for dinner.

Ifan has just woken up in his pram, and Jason picks him up; “Ifan, what have I done?
