Kath is not speaking to Mark
Around the breakfast table at Maes-y-Deri, Kath is not speaking to Mark, and instead asks Vicky to pass on her messages.
"Non, tell Mam that the toast is a bit burnt"
Mark retaliates by requesting Non, “Tell Mam that the toast is a bit burnt, and is not fresh.”
"He's lucky he's getting anything!"
Kath passes the message via Vicky that he is lucky to get anything from her.
Vicky puts her foot down;  “Non and I are fed up with these games –
"If you want to talk, then talk!"
“if you want to talk, then talk!”
"There is money to be made from this vlog"
She tells Non that she is doing some research today into Sara’s vlog, as she thinks we could make a lot of money out of it.   “You never know, Kath, I might make enough to buy this house!”
"It will take a lot to better John Marcus's offer"
Kath replies that she will have to make a lot to improve on John Marcus’s offer,
"He's coming round – so behave yourselves!"
and remembers that he will be coming round at 11 o’clock to see the place.   Mark is trying hard to suppress a smile.
"You just want to play with the Lego"
Hywel is looking forward to taking Esther to the Kids’ Club, and Sheryl jokes that he just wants to play with the Lego.
"The accounts won't do themselves"
“I can’t come, because the accounts won’t do themselves,” she tells him.   As he is about to leave, Sheryl’s phone rings, and she finds that it is a call from Gethin.   “He probably wants to talk about Dani – I haven’t got time at the moment.”
"Dani did jump into bed with Mathew"
Hywel acknowledges that Dani has been through a hard time, but adds, “She did jump into bed with Mathew.”
Sheryl phones Gethin
Checking that Hywel has gone, she phones Gethin;  “What do you think you’re doing?   You’re stressing me out – how many times have I told you – don’t come here and don’t phone?   Hywel almost answered the phone!”
"We're a lot more than friends!"
Gethin advises her to chill;  “We’re friends – he has no idea that we’re more than that – a lot more than that!   I have another surprise for you – I think you’ll enjoy it!”   She terminates the call.
"I'm taking Arwen to the park"
Gethin quickly hides his phone, as Ffion says she is taking Arwen to the park;  “It’s a pity you cannot come to Kid’s Club this afternoon,”
He uses Garry as an excuse
but Gethin replies that he must stay on the right side of Garry.
Sara's vlog is still going well
Sara receives a text from Vicky, marvelling at the fact that views of the vlog are still going up.
"He should have been here half an hour ago!"
“Where is he?   He was supposed to be here half an hour ago!” complains Kath,
She tells Tomos ac Ellis a thing or two
and she phones Tomos ac Ellis to have a moan.
Sara sees herself as Welsh Businesswoman of the year
Vicky receives a reply from Sara;  “Welsh Businesswoman of the Year – here I come!”   She leaves for Sara’s house.
"What am I supposed to do now?"
Kath is disgusted that the person supposed to be viewing her house does not have to give a reason for not turning up, and demands what she is supposed to do now.   “OK – thanks a bunch for nothing!” she snarls, as she slams down the phone.
"Hey, Non, ask Mam if there's a problem"
Mark pipes up, “Hey, Non, ask Mam if there’s a problem, will you?”   Kath announces that John Marcus has withdrawn his offer,
"An offer is an offer!"
and insists that an offer is an offer.
"There's more to it than people realise"
“There’s more to buying and selling houses than people realise,” comments Mark.
Creepy Gethin is here again . . .
Gethin sneaks into the salon once more and creeps up on Sheryl;
. . . bringing massage oils
he has brought something special for his favourite hairdresser – massage oils.
"Maybe we can release some of that stress"
“Maybe we can release some of that stress this afternoon,” he suggests, but she warns him to go before someone sees him.
He is interrupted by a salon client
Then he is disturbed by the arrival of one of Sheryl’s clients.
"This is so cool!"
Round at number nine, Vicky remarks, “This is so cool – the Western Post wants an interview already!”   Sara agrees that it will be fantastic publicity.
"It's nice to feel part of something worth while"
“I really like this job,” Vicky goes on, “It’s a nice feeling to be part of something worthwhile for a change – I might say that to the Western Post!”
"They don't know anything about you"
Sara explains that they do not know anything about her, and that Sara was doing the vlogs;  “It’s all to do with the branding –
"Ifan and I are the USP!"
“Ifan and I are the brand – the Unique Selling Point!”
"You're kicking me out already?"
Vicky takes offence at this;  “You’re kicking me out already?   I was right about you – you’re a selfish show-off!   If you think I’ll stay quiet about this – I don’t want anything to do with you!
"Stupid and pretentious – just like you!"
While Daddy’s Away is a stupid, pretentious, middle-class name – just like you!”
Kids' Club is in session . . .
Hywel arrives at the Kids’ Club with Esther,
. . . and Esther is introduced to Arwen
and she joins the other children, including Arwen.   Tyler tells them that Greta is very good on the whole, except when she and Carol sing a duet at 4:00am.
Ffion suddenly jumps up,
Eagle-eyed Ffion spots that something is wrong
suspecting that Esther stuffed something up her nose.
"The lowdown of the life of a single mother"
Back at Maes-y-Deri, Vicky is determined to get revenge, and begins to record her own vlog. “Hello and welcome to the coolest, sassiest, funniest and most epic vlog.   I’m going to give you the lowdown on the life of a single mother – who is poor and normal, in a house that’s anything but normal!
"That's Non over there"
“That’s Non over there, pretending to be shy, but she’s really nice,
"Over here we have Mark"
“and over here we have Mark.   He hasn’t been well recently, but Non gave him a kidney and now he’s feeling better.”
"You think you're so clever, don't you?"
Suddenly, Kath bursts into the room;  “You think you’re so clever, don’t you?” she exclaims,
"You are on camera, Kath"
“John Marcus – it was you the whole time!   How could you do such thing?”   Non advises her that she is on camera.
Gethin is determined to have his wicked way with Sheryl
Gethin arrives at the back room of the salon, eager to get Sheryl’s clothes off;
"You didn't know I was a masseur, did you?"
he unctuously announces, “You didn’t know I was a masseur, did you?”   She is still unsure about this, but he reminds her, “The doors are closed, our phones are off – nobody is going to come here.”
Sheryl feels uncomfortable, but he replies,
"We are here to enjoy ourselves!"
“That’s why you need one of my special massages.   Stop stressing – we are here to enjoy ourselves!”
The doctor advises to go straight to hospital . . .
At the Kids’ Club, they have called in the doctor, who says that Esther will have to go to the hospital, where they have the correct equipment to remove the item safely;
. . . and warns them they are coming
“I’ll drive you.”
"I'll get the news to Sheryl"
Hywel attempts to inform Sheryl, but her phone is turned off, and Ffion volunteers to call at the salon and tell her.
Sheryl is in the hands of Gethin
Meanwhile, at the salon, Sheryl is naked and only covered with a towel, as Gethin plays the part of the masseur.   He tells her that it is better than doing the accounts.
There is no reply to her banging
Ffion runs across the road and finds the salon locked;  she bangs on the door, but receives no reply.
"You just relax and enjoy it!"
“Did you hear something?” asks Sheryl, nervously, but Gethin simply urges her to relax, and continues massaging her naked flesh.
"Esther's had a minor accident"
Outside, Ffion phones and leaves a message for her;  “Can you phone me back when you get this message, please?   It is quite important, but don’t panic – Esther’s had a minor accident.”
Kath is interviewed live online
Vicky is now interviewing Kath, and asks what kind of advice she would give to a single mother.   “It’s important to not to lose heart – keep going and don’t give up,” she begins.
"Who would listen to such rubbish?"
Mark is fed up with this, and wonders who would listen to such rubbish;  he goes upstairs.   Kath presses on, “My son Mark – we might have had our ups and downs over the years, but when the children were small
"What mattered was that the children were happy"
“what mattered to me was that Mark, and his little sister Stacey, were happy.”
Kath cannot be silenced, but drones on
Vicky wants to end the interview, but Kath insists on continuing, “As long as they’re grateful – but he’s not!   No, he’s always taken advantage – he tricked me into thinking I’d sold this house – it still hasn’t been sold.”
"Right -– I'm signing off for now"
At this point Vicky does stop proceedings, and signs off for now.
"You don't have to keep talking nonstop!"
She tells Kath that she does not have to keep talking nonstop, but what Kath is interested in is,
"When are they paying us?"
“When are they paying us?”
Gethin is keen for a repeat performance . . .
By this time, Sheryl has her clothes back on, and Gethin is trying to arrange their next meeting.
. . . but Sheryl hears Ffion's message . . .
She looks at her phone, and learns that Esther has had an accident;  “I knew this was a mistake!
. . . and Gethin is summarily thrown out
“Get out – through the back!   She’s in hospital – I’ll get a taxi – now please go!”
An online comparison of biscuits . . .
At Maes-y-Deri, the three women are sampling biscuits, and dipping them in their tea, in front of the iPad, which is recording.   Suddenly Mark rushes downstairs
. . . Mark's biscuits!
and announces that those biscuits are his;  “Turn that off and give us five minutes’ peace!   Who wants to watch you three eating biscuits and drinking tea?”
"You were watching, or you wouldn't have known!"
“You were watching,” replies Kath, “Or you wouldn’t have known we were eating your biscuits!”   He takes exception to her talking about their personal lives, for the world to hear,
"You fooled me into thinking I'd sold the house!"
but she goes on again him fooling her into thinking she has sold the house.   Vicky calls for a truce.
Sheryl sees Hywel across the road
Sheryl comes out of the salon to see Hywel across the road, talking to Tyler.   She dashes across, and he tells her that Esther is all right, and is asleep;
"They used a special device"
“They had a special device to pull the button out of her nose.”
She says she fell asleep in the back room
She of course is very apologetic, and makes up a story about having a headache and going into the back room for a nap;  she switched off the phone.
Ffion learns that all is well
Ffion comes along and is glad to hear that there was a happy ending to the incident.   “You would have been proud of Hywel – he was great –
"He didn't panic or anything!"
“he didn’t panic or anything!” she says,
"I know I'm very lucky"
and Sheryl indeed appreciates that she is very lucky.
John Marcus snoring
“John Marcus snoring – I will put that on the vlog,” suggests Vicky,
"Don't do that – he's still ill"
but Kath stops her, pointing out that he is still ill.
"I thought you didn't care about him"
“I thought you didn’t care about him,” remarks Vicky.
“Well, he is my son.   Why was I so stupid?   Why didn’t I realise?   I mean – John Marcus!
"I know he doesn't want me to sell"
“I know he doesn’t want me to sell.”   Vicky hugs her and tells her it is because she is a special mother.
Mark cannot resist a grin
Mark, still pretending to be asleep, smiles.
"What a day!"
“What a day!” sighs Hywel, as he and Sheryl settle down with a glass of wine;  she looks very uncomfortable.
"Accidents can happen so easily"
“It makes you think – accidents can happen so easily.   I had a shock today – you and Esther are the most important things in my life!”
Sheryl begins to cry

Sheryl begins to cry, and she says that she is just happy too;
This episode has caused her to think
“And you’re right – often something has to happen to make you realise what’s important.”
She kisses Hywel
She kisses him, and Hywel embraces her.
