Garry is roused from his stupor |
![]() |
"This place is full of alcohol fumes!" |
![]() |
The bottles and cans will give a clue to the answer |
![]() |
"No-one wants a divorce!" |
![]() |
"I can't remember the last time I saw you sober!" |
“I can’t remember the last time I saw you sober!” she exclaims, but he points out that he does not want a lecture;
![]() |
"I just hope she will come to her senses" |
he just cannot see the way out, and concludes that the only hope he has is that Dani may come to her senses,
![]() |
"Someone should talk to her" |
“She’ll listen to you – come on – you’re my one and only hope!” he begs, and she agrees, on one condition;
that he sort himself out, today. Britt slams the door on her way out,
which makes his headache worse, then the phone rings.
![]() |
"You must sort yourself out – today!" |
![]() |
The slamming door upsets Garry's head |
![]() |
Mark and Ricky are back |
![]() |
"Just go over and see him, Dad" |
![]() |
"Can't you go?" |
Mark replies that he has been told he must have plenty of rest;
“You’re scared of bumping into Gran, aren’t you?” declares Ricky, who cannot revise in his bedroom as Vicky’s stuff is everywhere, and there is no room for his things. “I’ve left a couple of books at Maes-y-Deri,” he says, and Mark warns him not to let Kath see him.
![]() |
"You're scared of bumping into Gran!" |
![]() |
"That fence needs a coat of paint" |
![]() |
"How's the garden at Y Felin these days?" |
Siôn says there is no need to be ashamed; he and Anita have been enjoying themselves.
Iolo comments, “I’m more impressed with Anita than your last one! Just don’t rush into anything too quickly, OK?” and is assured that they are taking things very slowly.
![]() |
"I'm more impressed with Anita than your last one!" |
![]() |
"When will you go back to college?" |
![]() |
Ricky silently creeps in |
![]() |
"You could get yourself a job to earn a decent wage" |
![]() |
But Ricky drops a book |
![]() |
"You're supposed to be in Spain!" |
Ricky explains that they broke down on the M4, and he and his father came back early on Saturday; “Mam is allowed to fly, so she went to the airport –
“but we came back on the tow truck.”
![]() |
"We came home on the tow truck" |
Non admits that she already knew about this,
and Kath complains, “I’ve been worried sick all weekend, while you knew the score?”
Then the door opens again, and Vicky and Nicky are also back.
Kath is pleased to see them, but demands, “Tell me that you’ve been to Spain, and haven’t been hiding under my nose in Cwmderi!”
![]() |
"I've been worried sick all weekend" |
![]() |
Then there is another surprise |
![]() |
"I hope you've really been in Spain! |
Vicky replies that she could not stand living with her mother, a sentiment with which Kath wholeheartedly agrees.
Vicky is not happy when she hears that Mark and Ricky are now living in the café flat, but Kath tells her she can live here at Maes-y-Deri.
![]() |
"You can live here!" |
![]() |
"No, Dad is cooking tonight" |
![]() |
"Can I sit down a minute?" |
![]() |
"I'm on the way to the solicitor" |
![]() |
"Isn't it a bit early to involve a solicitor?" |
“I need to move on!” Dani replies, but Britt thinks she should slow down a bit, so she can really consider what she is doing.
Dani can see through her straightaway; “Has Garry asked to you to talk to me?”
![]() |
"Has Garry asked you to talk to me?" |
![]() |
"I've never seen him so low!" |
![]() |
"I dont want to punish Garry" |
![]() |
"I want him to be there for her" |
![]() |
"I'm worried that he will never be happy again!" |
![]() |
"I don't want to lose you as a friend" |
![]() |
Ifan has gone to bed |
![]() |
"I miss you, and so does Ifan" |
![]() |
"I love you!" |
![]() |
She posts the video |
![]() |
"Non is considering giving up her course" |
![]() |
This angers Mark |
![]() |
"Non wants to find some sticking power!" |
![]() |
"Gran thinks she should look for 'a decent job'!" |
![]() |
"Mam wouldn't know a decent job if it fell on her head!" |
![]() |
Britt brings disappointing news |
![]() |
"She's trying to teach me a lesson!" |
![]() |
"No, she's not playing games!" |
Garry shouts that he is Carol’s father;
“I send you over there to knock some sense into her head, and you come back here, on her side!”
Britt replies that he cannot control people, and that is why he pushes people away.
“I don’t want to control people – I just want her back!” he growls.
![]() |
Garry has the audacity to blame Britt |
![]() |
"You can't control people, Garry!" |
![]() |
"I just want her back!" |
![]() |
Mark tells his mother a thing or two |
![]() |
"Oh, they're off again!" |
![]() |
"You're always poking your nose in other people's business!" |
Non is even more confused now, and Mark accuses his mother of messing up all of their lives.
She snarls, “Let me remind you that you have no right to throw your weight around – you don’t live here any more!”
![]() |
"You don't live here any more!" |
![]() |
"Can't you cool down a bit?" |
![]() |
"I don't live here any more – remember?" |
![]() |
"Has Carol been OK?" |
![]() |
"It could be sorted out within a few months" |
![]() |
"Garry's got a good heart" |
![]() |
"He's just a thug!" |
![]() |
"I've got a strong case for cutting Garry's access" |
![]() |
"I don't want anything more to do with her!" |
![]() |
"You'd soon be fed up with Paella and Tortilla" |
![]() |
"This is the café's leftovers!" |
![]() |
"There are some cakes as well" |
![]() |
"We need decent meals" |
“Perhaps it would be best if I moved back to Maes-y-Deri.”
![]() |
"Not after the way your grandmother's behaved!" |
![]() |
"I like that video you posted!" |
![]() |
Sara is devastated |
![]() |
"It's lucky it wasn't anything worse!" |
![]() |
Ricky appreciates his cooked meal |
![]() |
"If you're not too busy being chased by 'what's his name'" |
![]() |
Vicky is intrigued . . . |
![]() |
. . . so Kath explains the circumstances |
![]() |
"Are you sure that you're all right?" |
![]() |
"Tell him I don't want to see his ugly mug!" |
![]() |
"I can't see that happening" |
![]() |
"Is there anything we can do?" |
![]() |
Garry lurches along the street |
![]() |
"I don't have anything to say to you!" |
![]() |
"Can't we sort things out?" |
![]() |
"Leave now, Garry, or I'll call the police!" |
![]() |
The door is slammed in Garry's face . . . |
![]() |
. . . sending him sprawling |
![]() |
He hears Carol crying . . . |
![]() |
. . . and sees Dani upstairs |
![]() |
He lets out an earsplitting scream . . . |
