Britt is shouting repeatedly for Catrin and Aaron to get ready to go swimming;

| "I'm sorry about the driving test business" |
Chester once more apologises to Hannah about the driving test,

| "Sorry you're not in Bondi Beach" |
and Britt says she is sorry that they are in Cwmderi and not Bondi Beach.
Then she wants to make a sandwich for Colin, but discovers that Chester has used all the bread.

| "Did you have to use all of it?" |
“Did you have to use all of it?

| "Colin's been at that shop since 5:00am!" |
“Colin’s been at that shop, sorting out the papers since 5:00am!”

| "You can pay for it – you ate it!" |
When Chester offers to go to the shop, she snarls, “You can pay for it – you ate it!”

| "You two are too young to know the meaning of the word!" |
Hannah tells Britt she is a bit stressed, but receives no sympathy; “You two are too young to know the meaning of the word!”

| The gnomes are reputed to be in London |
In the shop, Anita shows Colin a postcard she has received, allegedly from the gnomes in London; “We’d have loved a ride on the open top bus, but we couldn’t climb the stairs!” she reads.

| "How's the tapas place going, Anita?" |
Ed comes in and asks how the tapas place is doing; Anita replies that she is a bit short-staffed, enquiring if he would like a job.
 |
| "I'll do it!" |
Chester has also arrived, and volunteers, much to Anita’s surprise.

| "Go on, Anita, give him a chance!" |
Colin urges her to give him a try, maintaining that he would make a good waiter.
 |
| "All right, for a trial period" |
Anita agrees to give him a trial, and tells him to come over later to talk about it.

| Chester purloins a loaf on his way out |
Chester surreptitiously helps himself to a loaf of bread on his way out, while Anita shows Ed the postcard;

| "I wish whoever it was would bring them back!" |
“I wish whoever stole them would bring them back,” she sighs.
 |
| "Nasty ugly things!" |
Mark has now come into the shop, and remarks that the gnomes are ugly things.

| "Too many ready meals is not good" |
Colin looks in his basket and says, “Too many ready meals is not good.” Mark replies that he does not have much choice until his mother comes to her senses.

| "Mam is just playing games" |
She is playing games, and he predicts that she will get fed up soon enough.
 |
| Sioned feels rather disorientated |
Sioned is woken by the sound of her phone, and for a moment wonders where she is.
 |
| DJ enquires about her, so she rings him |
It is a text from DJ, asking if she slept all right; she dials his number.
 |
| "It's better than the street" |
He is just outside Awyr Iach, and is pleased to know she is OK; “I know it’s not a five-star hotel, but it’s better than the street,” he tells her, “I’ll come over tonight at around seven.

| "Don't worry – I won't tell a soul" |
“Don’t worry – I won’t tell a soul.”
Ed is approaching, and overhears; he asks who is the lucky girl. “Do I know her?

| "A friend? Your secret is safe with me" |
“A friend – OK, your secret is safe with me!”
 |
| Chester is pleased with his newly-acquired job |
Chester informs Hannah, “I said I could do it, and she couldn’t refuse – we are going to talk about money later. Right, we have to take this money to Gwyneth – today is the deadline.”

| "We haven't got quite enough" |
Hannah points out that they have not quite got it all, and takes offence when he suggests that she should also get a job.

| "Can I call to see you later?" |
Colin gets out his phone and makes a call; “Would it be all right for me to call in to see you later? Lunchtime, perhaps?

| "I just want to discuss something" |
“It’s nothing major, just I want to discuss something with you.”

when Hannah and Chester walk in, and hand her the money. “Before you check it, we are £10 short,” warns Hannah,

and Chester adds that he has more work now so they will be back on track by the next payment.
Hannah remarks, “Gwyneth, I know we’ve done something really stupid, but . . .”

| "Trying to fool me is not very sensible!" |
Gwyneth agrees that trying to fool her is not the most sensible thing to do. Hannah goes on, “These terms are just too hard – but as you know us, and know we won’t go away again, and really want to pay you back –

Gwyneth’s harsh reply is, “Listen here, good girl – you might be able to twist Dai and Diane around your little finger,

| Gaynor is cooking for Elgan |
Colin goes to visit Gaynor as she is preparing an exotic meal; “I’m trying a new recipé –

“Do you remember that money I gave you – from Dad? Can I have it back, please? I want to give Chester and Hannah a helping hand.” Gaynor has no intention of returning the money,

and tells him the money is in an account which she cannot touch for five years.

“I know she’s only ‘a friend’! I hope she’s worth it, as you’ve gone to so much trouble.

| Mark is having his afternoon nap |
Mark is dozing on the sofa when Colin visits him; “It’s so quiet here, after Maes-y-Deri, that I take afternoon naps,” he says.

Colin says that he ought to know that he has just been to Tomos ac Ellis; “I was looking for Chester, but that doesn’t matter now. I saw this,” he says, handing Mark a sheet of house details.

| "Oh, she's done it, has she?" |
“Oh, she’s done it, has she?” says Mark, “But look at this price – it’s much too high!

| "No-one will pay that much" |
“No-one will pay that much – she’s playing games.” Colin says she might get a decent offer, and asks what he is going to do now. “I’ll phone Debs – she’s good at handling all this, but she won’t be back for a while yet.”

| "Are you all right, alone in the flat?" |
Colin enquires if he is all right alone in the flat,

| "It gets a bit lonely sometimes" |
and Mark concedes that it gets a bit lonely sometimes; “But that’s why it’s nice helping out in the café, and it saves Debs a bit. We’ll need money to send Ricky to University.”

| A brilliant idea dawns upon Colin |
An idea seems to be forming in Colin’s mind.

| "I've got loads of hours in Anita's place!" |
Chester assures Hannah, “Anita pays more in this tapas place than APD and Mam – and I’ve got loads of hours, so that will help.” She points out that all he has done is to secure a temporary job, not winning the lottery.
 |
| "Sorry for being positive!" |
“Sorry for being positive,” he groans.
 |
| "I could do with a bit of help round here!" |
Britt comes in and immediately complains that it would be nice if they helped around the flat. “If you’re old enough to get engaged and get married, you’re old enough to learn household chores!
 |
| "There's a stack of ironing, Hannah!" |
“Look, there’s been a stack of ironing in that basket since Friday, Hannah!” She replies that she cannot iron, and does not iron her clothes anyway. “Yes, that’s pretty obvious!” snarls Britt.
 |
| Hannah has reached breaking point |
This is the final straw; Hannah jumps up, exclaiming, “Sorry, Chester, I can’t live here any more – I’m going back to Bryntirion!”
 |
| "Maybe it's all for the best!" |
Trying to hide her delight, Britt points out that it may be for the best.
 |
| But then Colin has some great news |
Then Colin comes dashing in and announces, “I’ve got some news – I’ve sorted out all our problems!
 |
| "You two can move into the café flat!" |
“Mark has agreed to let Hannah and Chester move into the flat above the café, charging the same amount of rent as they pay here!”
 |
| Wildly differing reactions to this |
Hannah and Chester are ecstatic about this, but Britt feels very differently.
 |
| DJ arrives at Sioned's place |
DJ arrives at the place where Sioned is staying; “I’ve brought you a few things, and clothes from the Maenan Appeal.” She has bought a cheap bottle of wine, as there was not much choice in the local garage.
 |
| "There's a big takeaway coming |
DJ has ordered a big takeaway for them, but must not drink as he is driving.
 |
| "Why are you doing this for me?" |
“I still don’t know why you’re doing all this, after everything I’ve done,” puzzles Sioned,
 |
| "I know what it's like to hit rock bottom!" |
but he replies he knows what it is like to hit rock bottom.
 |
| "You must accept that they want to be together" |
Britt is moaning, “It would have been nice if you’d told me, that’s all.” Colin suggests that she and Diane may as well accept that the young couple want to be together. He is quite proud of them –

| Colin calls himself 'a genius' |
and of himself, for being such a genius.
 |
| Hannah and Chester cannot wait to move |
Hannah and Chester are all ready to go to the café flat, but Colin points out that there is a deposit to pay first.
 |
| "What deposit?" |
“What deposit? You didn’t say anything about a deposit!” protests Hannah.
 |
| "Mark will probably be in bed by now" |
Colin goes on that it is too late to go to the flat tonight, as Mark may well be in bed already, and he is always tired after his illness.
 |
| "Mark will still be there?" |
Chester is shocked that Mark will still be in the flat;
 |
| "Well, he does live there" |
“Of course – that’s where he lives, isn’t it?” Colin enlightens him.
 |
| "I'm sure we can help with the deposit" |
Britt makes her suggestion, that she is is sure she and Diane can help with the deposit;
 |
| They wonder what is the catch |
Hannah and Chester are taken aback by this uncharacteristic show of generosity.
 |
| "That was amazing!" |
DJ and Sioned have enjoyed their meal, and she urges him not to bother with the washing-up.
 |
| "You could stay here – on the settee!" |
As she opens one of the bottles, she points out that if he stayed and did not have to drive – “On the settee! And there are blankets here,” she adds, “I don’t want to be on my own.”
 |
| "Let's find out how horrible this is!" |
He agrees, and proposes that they find out how horrible this bottle is.
 |
| "What have I done to deserve this?" |
As Britt brings him a glass of wine, Colin wonders what he has done to deserve it, and she says that he is a genius, after all.
 |
| "Think that Mark is going to clear up after them?" |
“Do you really think that Mark will clean up after them, cook for them and wash their clothes, like we have done? There’s more chance of them coming to their senses on their own.
 |
| "They're too young to live together!" |
“They’re too young to live together, never mind get married!”
 |
| "What if it brings them closer together?" |
Colin considers that this experience may instead bring them closer together,
 |
| She is confident they will last no longer than a month |
but Britt judges that it will be a month at the most before they wise up. “I can be romantic when I want to be – and it will be nice to have more space in the flat for us.
 |
| "I said you were a genius, Colin Evans!" |
“I said you were a genius, didn’t I, Colin Evans?”
