Kelly is all of a panic
Before opening the newly refurbished café, Kelly is panicking;
"What if no-one likes it?"
“What if no one likes what are I’ve done with the place?” she wails,
"It looks fantastic, Kel!"
but Ed assures her that it looks fantastic, and she should be excited.   “I’m more petrified than anything!” she says, and after kissing her, Ed goes to turn round the sign on the door.
"First customer – what can I get you?"
The first customer is Auntie Anita;  “What can I get you?   It’s on the house, as it’s a special occasion!” Kelly tells her, and Anita chooses a latte.
"You've worked miracles, Kelly . . ."
She is highly impressed and says that Kelly has worked miracles;
". . . and they're a lovely idea"
then she sees the photographs by the stairs of Meic, and remarks that it is a lovely idea,
"Meic would be so proud of you!"
and Meic would be so proud of her.
"This isn't waterproof mascara"
“Don’t make me cry – this isn’t waterproof mascara!” protests Kelly,
Ricky is issued with his new workwear
and then Ricky arrives for his shift;  he is given his new apron.
"What are you going to do on your day off?"
Elgan is eating his breakfast, but Gaynor grabs a banana and has to hurry to school;  she asks what he is going to do today, as he has a day off.
"I've arranged to meet Sofia"
He rather reluctantly admits that he had intended to meet Sofia, but offers to reschedule so that Gaynor is around.   “All three of us can go for a drink, as you missed out on Friday,” he suggests, but she says there is no need,
Elgan is left alone with his thoughts
and hopes that they enjoy themselves.
Kath is eagerly following one of her auctions
At breakfast time in Maes-y-Deri, Kath is constantly checking her phone and tells Debbie that this is her job until her taxi licence arrives.
"£10.50 – for that ugly biscuit tin?"
As Non walks in, Kath squeals that she has a bid;  “£10.50 – for that ugly biscuit tin,
"Was that the one that came from the skip?"
“that came from the skip!   It’s going to sell!   People buy any old rubbish, don’t they?”
Non is back at school today, but only for the morning,
"DJ is taking me to lunch as a treat"
and she announces that DJ is taking her for lunch as a treat.
"You know, that DJ is a nice bloke"
Kath remarks that DJ is a nice bloke.
"Did you get my text yesterday?"
Chester comes into the café, and says that he sent Ricky a text yesterday,
Ricky says his phone is on the blink
but Ricky’s excuse is that his phone has been playing up.   “I was wondering if you wanted to go out last night,” Chester adds, but is told that it is rather too late now.
"Special offer on milk shakes!"
Ricky tells him that the café has a special offer on milk shakes – two for the price of one, but Chester cannot drink two of them and offers one to DJ.
"Why would I accept anything from you?"
“Why would I accept anything from you, after what you did to Sara?” is DJ’s angry reply, so Chester cancels the order.
"You can't do that!"
“You can’t do that – Ricky’s started on it,” intervenes Kelly, but Chester points out that the customer is always right, and wonders if she knows anything about running a business.

He walks out of the café.
"How can you be friends with someone like him?"
“How can you be friends with someone like him?   You should listen to your Dad!” Kelly says,
"What am I going to do, Ricky?"
then finds that the fridge is desperately short of milk.   “I didn’t order enough!” she squeals, “What am I going to do?” but Ricky is quite willing to go to the shop for more.
Elgan is deep in thought
Elgan meets Sofia in the park;  he is deep in thought when she approaches.
“I’m sorry I haven’t been in touch since we kissed – I just don’t know what to do,” he confesses.
"What do you want to do?"
She asks what he wants to do, and he replies, “I’ve thought so much about you – I can’t help it.
"The last thing I want to do is hurt Gaynor"
“But the last thing I want to do is hurt Gaynor.   I thought you’d understand.”
“Why did you get in touch with me,” she asks, and he says it was part of the therapy.
"Do you know how hard it was for me?"
“Do you know how hard it was for me?   I decided to come and see you – and found you in a relationship.” Sofia says,
"I never expected you to come"
but he never really expected her to come;  however, he is glad that she did.
“But I never imagined all this would happen,” he continues.
"Didn't you think there might still be something there?"
She finds it surprising that he did not think that they might have missed an opportunity, and that there still might be something there.
Debbie walks into the café and remarks that it is very different there;  “More trendy and, I hate to say it, more youthful, perhaps.”
"There's not a photo of me up there!"
Looking at the photo display up the stairs, she adds, “But there isn’t a photo of me up there – “I’ll take one, and you can put it up there with the others.”
"Ricky has gone to get more milk"
Kelly reports that Ricky has gone to get more milk, as she thought they ought to have plenty.
“He’s a good boy, an – honest hard worker, like his mother!” is Debbie’s comment, “That’s why I deserve my place on that wall of fame.”
Debbie receives a disturbing phone call . . .
As Mark is trying to master the camera on her phone, a call arrives on it;
. . .and Mark is concerned
Debbie says, “What do you mean?   I haven’t done anything – you can’t do this!”
"I've been suspended!"
Then she informs Mark that she has been suspended, as Phyllis lodged a complaint against her, saying that she stole money.
"We were happy – and could be again"
Elgan and Sofia walk in the park, and he recalls that they were happy, and could be happy again.   She had been hoping this was true;
"I thought it would be less complicated this time around'
“I thought that life would be less complicated this time around, and that there was still a chance for us.”
"Let me come with you!"
“Let me come with you!” he says, and she wonders if this is what he really wants;
"You have things to sort out here"
he has things to sort out here first, and even if he did come with her, there is no guarantee that it would work out.   “But you just said that it’s obvious there’s still something between us,” he answers.
"I want to make sure you're making the right decision"
Sofia just wants to make sure that he is making the right decision;  he has been ill, and his recovery is all down to Gaynor.
“There will always be a welcome for you in Bangor, but I can’t be selfish where your health is concerned,” she warns him,
"You have to work out what you want"
“Look, you know what I want, but you have to work out what you want too.”
Sofia hugs him, then walks away
She hugs him, and then walks away.
"Debbie's had some bad news!"
When Mark returns home, he tells his mother that Debbie has had some bad news;  she has been suspended, after the allegation she has stolen money from Phyllis – more than £100.
"I think Phyllis is simply confused"
Debbie suspects that she is simply confused, but the company is investigating and she is not sure how long she will be out of work.
"There's always Gwyneth's offer"
Mark reminds her of Gwyneth’s job offer,
"I'm not working for her!"
but Debbie is very much against working for her.   He suggests that it could be a temporary solution, but tells her not to worry about it now,
"I'm taking you to Tapas for lunch"
as he is taking her to Tapas for lunch.   Kath takes a bottle of vodka from the cupboard,
They are going to smuggle in a bottle of vodka
as she has heard that it is expensive in there.
"Kelly's in a terrible state"
Chester catches Ricky as he comes out of the shop with a single one pint bottle of milk, which is all they had;  he tells Chester that Kelly is in a terrible state.
"Why should I care?"
“Why should I care?” sneers Chester, and Ricky wonders why he has to be so ‘off’ with people all the time.
"You do stupid things all the time – you upset people!"
“You do stupid things all the time – you upset people!” Ricky continues, but Chester has an idea and tells Ricky to follow him.
We are introduced to Cwmderi Tapas
As we have our first glimpse inside Tapas, Debbie and Mark have just arrived and learned from Anita that everything is on the menu –
"It's not that sort of place"
they do not offer any ‘deals’;  “It’s not that sort of place,” she tells them, and warns that a lot of the menu is in Spanish.
Debbie boasts that she knows Spanish;
Debbie's knowledge of Spanish seems to be lacking
Amo a mi perro,” she says, which Anita rather disparagingly translates that she loves her dog.
"We're trying to stay healthy"
They order two lemonades, and Anita points out that they have an extensive wine list, but Mark says they are trying to stay healthy.
DJ and Non were hoping for a quiet meal
Then DJ and Non arrive, and are eventually prevailed upon to join Debbie and Mark,
DJ does not want to join Debbie and Mark
much against DJ’s will;  Debbie calls for more menus.
Elgan considers his next move
Elgan comes downstairs, with his phone in his hand, and ponders what to do.
He leaves a message for Sofia
He leaves a message, “Sofia, look, I can't stop thinking about what you said earlier, so,
"Please phone me back"
“please phone me back when you get this.”
DJ wishes he were somewhere else
DJ is not enjoying the company,
Debbie tops up Non's glass
with Debbie and Mark monopolising the conversation, and Debbie topping up their drinks with the vodka.
"I don't want any"
DJ is adamant that he does not want any,
"Come on, DJ, we're here for a bit of fun!"
but is told that they are there for a bit of fun.
Anita brings all the various items of food
Anita brings dishes of various foods for them.
"Sorry, no more milkshakes until there's more milk"
In the café, Kelly tells Llinos that the milkshake offer is off until more milk arrives.
"There are a lot of customers"
Ed comes in, and is told the bad news about the milk;
"Epic fail, Ed!"
“I forgot to order milk – epic fail!”
Ricky returns, bearing milk
Just then Ricky comes in, carrying the one pint from the shop, plus four 4-pinters which Chester found at the Deri for him.   “If it wasn’t for him, I don’t know what I would have done,” Ricky tells Kelly, and she thanks him for saving the day.
"I didn't do it to help you out!"
“I didn’t do it to help you out – I did it to help a friend,” Chester grumbles.
"What's the matter with you – always angry?"
She demands what is the matter with him – he is always angry.
Chester flounces off again
He walks out.
All that vodka is probably taking effect
At Tapas, Non has eaten her fill, and is not feeling well;
She stumbles against the table, with unpleasant results
as she gets up to fetch some water, she knocks the table, and drink is spilt all over DJ.   She panics and runs away, followed by Mark.
"This was supposed to be nice lunch for Non and me!"
“You didn’t help!” DJ snarls at Debbie, “It was meant to be a nice lunch for Non and me, not a booze-up!”   Debbie asks Anita for the bill, in Spanish,
"And a towel!"
and DJ is in need a towel.
"If I decide to move to Bangor with you for a while"
Elgan again leaves a message for Sofia, telling her, “I’ve had a word with my partners in the surgery, and they’re quite flexible, if I decide to move to Bangor with you for a while.”
This is overheard by Gaynor
Gaynor has, at that moment, just come in the front door, and is listening to this.
He ends the message, “Phone me, Sofia, so we can talk about it.”
"I've had a busy day at school"
Then Gaynor shuts the front door, comes in and says that she has been busy at school.
She asks how Sofia is;  “You saw her this afternoon,” and is told that she has gone back to Bangor.
"Especially after you kissed on Friday"
“It must be hard for you to see her go, especially after you kissed on Friday,” Gaynor continues,
"It's not what you think, Gaynor"
“Yes, I saw you.”
He maintains that it is not what she thinks;  it was only a kiss between friends.
"Don't make a fool of me"
She replies, “Friends don’t kiss each other like that – don’t make a fool of me.”
"I don't know what to say"
He apologises, and does not know what to say, but she replies,
"You had plenty to say on the phone just now"
“You had plenty to say on the phone just now – I don’t want to hear any more –
"It's over!"
“let me make it easy for you.   It’s over!”
