Julie is downcast
Next morning, Julie is sitting morosely at the table,
"Something to eat will make you feel better"
and Debbie suggests something to eat will make her feel better;
"That's a stupid thing to say!"
“That’s a stupid thing to say!” Julie growls at her, then apologises;
"How could I let Gethin deceive me like that?"
“How could I be so soft to allow Gethin to deceive me like that?   I opened my heart to him, shared my plan, and what did he do?   He held my hand and supported me – knowing all the time he had taken Sheryl from me!”
Debbie feels sorry for Hywel Llywelyn, being wrongly blamed like that,
Kath says she is going to the shop
and Kath says she has to go out to the shop, and will only be five minutes.
Garry packs away Gethin's belongings
Dani walks into the Deri and finds Garry packing away Gethin’s belongings, including a photo of Sheryl, into a box.
"He refused to see me!"
Dani has been to the prison, but is dismayed that Gethin refused to see her.   “Why do you want to see him, after everything he’s done?   He doesn’t deserve your support,” Garry insists.
"He's still my brother"
She replies that Gethin is still her brother, and she cannot abandon him;  “I know what he did was unforgivable,” she says, but Garry takes issue with the word ‘unforgivable’, pointing out that not only did he kill Sheryl, he ruined people’s lives;
"I'm not going to forgive him!"
“He made you doubt me – he made me doubt myself!   I’ve been through hell – many people have –  especially Hywel – been through hell because of him!   I’m not going to forgive him!”
Rhys is very pleased . . .
Rhys walks into the café, very happy about the the developments;
. . . as are the customers
the customers there are all glad his father is being released, and shocked by the revelation about Gethin.
"They have to check Gethin's story first"
“He was supposed to be released last night, but they have to check Gethin’s story first,” Rhys tells them, which Jim finds quite ridiculous, as he admitted to it.
"Right, full breakfast on the house!"
Kelly gives Rhys a full breakfast on the house to celebrate, warns him that she does not do that sort of thing often, and details Ed to cook it, because there is something she needs to do;
Kelly is off to do some apologising
“Rhys is not the only one who needs an apology,” she says.
Kath visits her guests at Bryntirion, and is disgusted to see that one of Diane’s ornaments has been broken;
Diane's broken ornament
she demands what she is supposed to do with it,
"Stick it back together!"
and receives the answer, “Stick it back together!” from Calum.
"This is all I have to remember my old Gran"
Kath insists, “This is all I have to remember my old Gran – she was one of ten children, and couldn’t afford ornaments!”   Calum maintains that it is only worth a fiver, and as his father comes in, Kath informs him, “You can’t put a price on memories!   You’ll lose your deposit, of course!”
"There – lose your deposit"
She points out in the small print that any breakages will incur loss of the deposit, and the father tells her to leave it with him.
"And get your feet off the sofa!"
On her way out, Kath orders the daughter, “And get your feet off the sofa!”
Kelly arrives in apologetic mood
Kelly arrives at Cysgod y Glyn and apologises to Ffion; she realises how stressful it can be.
"I'm coping fine!"
Ffion replies, “You have no idea – but sorry to disappoint you – I’m coping fine!” but Kelly wonders how she is managing to cope.
"You think I'm back on the bottle!"
“Ah, this is what this is – you think I’m back on the bottle!” roars Ffion, “Contrary to what Dani said, I’m completely sober – take me to the police station if you like and test me!”
"One murderer after another"
Then she calms down somewhat and asks Kelly, “Why me?   Why do all these men find me – one murderer after another?   I wasn’t even drinking when I met Gethin, and you would think, after Owen, I would be more careful to look for the signs – but what did I do?   I allowed myself to be deceived again!”
"You're not the only one he deceived"
Kelly reminds her that she was not the only one to be deceived,
"I brought a murderer into Arwen's home!"
but she replies, “I was the only one foolish enough to have a relationship with him, and to bring a murderer into Arwen’s home!
At the front of APD, equipment is bring loaded into the van.
"Good news about your Dad, Rhys!"
Rhys comes along the road, and Jason says that it is good news about his father;  “As if Hywel could have killed someone!”
"We're having a little party"
Sara joins them as Rhys says he is organising a little party to welcome his father home, and invites them.   Jason is doubtful if he can come, as they have so much work on at the moment.   Sara scolds Jason, as he ought to make the effort.
"I heard you were back!"
Debbie sees Mathew, and comments, “I heard you were back,”
"I'm here to work"
but he says that it is only temporary, for work.   Jim says that Julie must be glad that the truth is finally out;  “Why?” snarls Debbie, “Sheryl’s still dead!” and she warns Jason to keep an eye on Mathew, as he has a history of sleeping with the boss’s wife.
"Look, we've got a problem"
Kath wants a quick word with Debbie, and takes her to the café;  “Look we’ve got a problem,” she begins, “One of Diane’s ornaments has been broken.”
“What – while you were watering the plants?” enquires Debbie,
"I've been letting out Bryntirion to visitors"
and is informed that Kath has been letting out Bryntirion to visitors.   Everything was fine until one of the clowns broke an ornament.
"Where can I find another ugly 50s vase like that?"
She wants to know where she can find another ugly 50s vase like that, and Debbie suggests she look at the internet, or perhaps charity shops;
Debbie volunteers to accompany her
“I’ll come with you, if you like!”
Julie does not look pleased to see Dani
Dani arrives at Maes-y-Deri, and Julie reluctantly lets her in;  “I really don’t know where to start, Julie,” Dani begins,
"I feel ashamed of my brother"
“Gethin’s deceived both of us – and I feel ashamed that the brother I thought I knew could do such a thing.   I stayed up with him, night after night, listening to him crying his heart out, showing him sympathy – and he was responsible all along!   I know it’s difficult for you – but it also is for me.”
"You don't mean a word of it!"
Julie does not want to hear any more, and accuses Dani of not meaning a word of it;  she remembers Dani saying that Gethin was still her brother, after everything.
"Brandon deserved much better than you!"
She very bitterly informs Dani, “Brandon was lucky – he deserved much better than you!”
Dani is stunned by her vehemence
Stunned, Dani turns and leaves.
"I can't get the hand of these accounts"
In the café, Kelly complains that she cannot get the hang of the accounts, and Sara offers to help, but is refused.   Kelly wonders why she would help, after all the hysterics about buying the place,
"Life is too short to fall out"
but Sara replies that recent events have proved that life is too short to fall out.
Kelly would appreciate some assistance
Kelly apologetically accepts her offer.
"Jason said you are overwhelmed with work"
When Jim and Mathew come in, Sara wonders how they have time to eat with all the work Jason said that APD have;  they reveal that Jason has given the pair of them the afternoon off, so they can have a greasy meal, and then celebrate Hywel’s release with a couple of drinks.
"Are you Colin my breakfasts 'greasy'?"
Kelly does not appreciate her breakfasts being described as ‘greasy’.
Kath intends to sell online what they found
Kath and Debbie return to Maes-y-Deri, after being out all morning;  they tell Julie they have been buying ‘treasures’ from a car boot sale in Llanarthur.   “We’ll make a fortune, selling these online!” boasts Kath.
"Hasn't Diane got one like that?"
One of the items catches Julie’s eye;  “Hasn’t Diane got one like that?   It’s so ugly, I still remember it.”   Kath thinks that this sounds very promising.
"I got a few things off my chest"
Julie maintains that she is feeling a bit better, after getting a few things off her chest.
Garry is purging the place of Gethin's belongings
Garry is continuing to get rid of Gethin’s belongings;  “I’m taking it behind the garage and burning it all!” he informs Dani,
"I don't want anything that reminds us of him!"
“I don’t want anything that reminds us of that murderer.”   She replies that he can burn what he likes,
"He's still your brother-in-law!"
but it will not change what happened, because her brother – and Garry’s brother-in-law – has done the worst thing possible.
"That's what my family do – ruin people's lives"
She goes on, “If I’d stopped to think, I would have realised from the start that he was responsible – because that is what my family do, ruin people’s lives.   Mam, Dad, Liv and now Gethin!”
"You and Tyler have done nothing wrong"
Garry reminds her that she and Tyler have done nothing wrong, but she replies that she accused him of murder;
"It's only a matter of time"
“It’s only a matter of time before I ruin someone’s life too.”
"I'm the last person he'll want to see"
In the Deri, Ffion tells Rhys that she is the last person Hywel will want to see;  “I shall remind him of everything that’s gone wrong,” she argues,
"Dad thinks the world of you"
but he says that his father thinks the world of her, and insists that she must come to the party.
When he leaves, to start cooking sausage rolls,
"You look as if you could do with some company"
Eifion goes over and tells Ffion that she looks like she could do with some company.   She says that she is fine – or would be if people stopped asking how she is,
"People suspect I've hit the bottle again"
and suspecting that she has hit the bottle again.   Then she apologises for being so prickly.
Sara wants to know what Jason is doing
Sara arrives home earlier than expected, and catches Jason coming downstairs with two bags;  he announces that he has a surprise for her.
"We're going away for the weekend"
“You, me and Ifan are going away for the weekend – work can wait – “I haven’t spent anywhere near enough time in your company, Mrs Francis.”
"You're 40 next week, Sara!"
He will not reveal where they are going, simply saying, ‘It’s a special hotel for a special lady, who’s celebrating a special birthday!”   You’re 40 next week, Sara.”
"Let's book that holiday in America"
Garry suggests that what they all need is a change;  “Let’s book that holiday in America – go and enjoy ourselves.   It wouldn’t be running away, but rather a chance to enjoy ourselves without the shadows of this place hanging over us.”   He assures her that she does not have to feel guilty about what happened, because it was not her fault.
"Why do I feel so responsible?"
She sighs, “If it wasn’t my fault, why do I feel so responsible?”
"Gethin is responsible – no-one else"
and Garry is quite emphatic that Gethin did this, and he is responsible – no-one else.
'WELCOME HOME'
A large banner is hanging above the door of Hywel’s house, and as Ed and Kelly arrive there,
Hywel is back in the village . . .
Hywel himself peers from the alley.   He takes a few steps towards the house,
. . . but stops by the salon . . .
but then stops by the salon, with its, by now, rather flagging floral tributes.   He thinks for a moment,
. .  and wonders what to do
looks up at the ‘welcome home’ banner, and hesitates.
Jim is looking forward to some free booze

Inside the house, Kelly is playing with Esther when Jim and Mathew arrive;  she enquires where Gaynor is, and is told that Elgan organised a weekend away and would not cancel.

There is a knock on the door, and Kath comes in, pointing out, “Our family knows what it’s like to be wrongly imprisoned!”
Mathew feels uneasy in the presence of the Joneses
Mathew looks rather uneasy at the presence of one of the Jones family.
"Dad, where are you?"
Rhys’ phone rings, and he speaks to his father;  “Dad, where are you?” but is confused when
"I'm not coming home"
Hywel tells him he is not coming home, that he cannot come back to Cwmderi and that they will talk some other time.
Rhys protests that he has a houseful of guests waiting to welcome him, but Hywel ends the call,
They have both found a bottle
and all the guests look confused.
Hywel surveys the grave . . .
Hywel is in fact at the cemetery, and looks at the grave with the word ‘SHERYL’ spelled out in flowers;
. . . kneels down beside it . . .
he falls to his knees,
. . . places a single white rose . . .
adds his own tribute to her – a single white rose –
. . . and weeps
and weeps.
