The aftermath of the night before |
![]() |
Ricky has a rude awakening |
As he tries to find his shoes, Mathew comes in,
and wonders if the glass of water Sioned is carrying is for Rhys; Ricky rushes off to the café, unaware of what was written on his forehead last night.

"Why does time go so quickly when you're on holiday?" |
![]() |
"I don't believe this!" |
![]() |
"I'm going to phone my accountant" |
![]() |
"I've just got her off to sleep" |
![]() |
"All my former employers hate me!" |
![]() |
"Right, we'll start with Dai" |
![]() |
Non is working out the wedding expenses |
![]() |
"Diane said she would pay" |
She has also made a list of guests – and reels off the names of the Joneses;
“I don’t have anyone else to invite,” she tells him, “And I’ve lost touch with my school friends. I found it hard to get close to people before I came here.”

"I don't have anyone else to invite" |
DJ says that for the first time he feels that he is at home, and he has not got many people to invite;
“Especially with the way Dad is behaving!” Non stresses that Dai is in shock,
and suggests that they go over there to ask him and Diane to help with the list. “He’s not interested,” sighs DJ, but Non knows that Diane would love to be involved.

"Especially with the way Dad is behaving!" |
![]() |
"Let's go there and ask them to help" |
“It would be a shame if both of us had to get married without our fathers being there,” she says;
DJ agrees, but emphasises that this is Dai’s last chance.
![]() |
"This is Dad's last chance" |
![]() |
Ricky protests they took advantage of him |
![]() |
"I can't believe what I did last night!" |
![]() |
"I don't get hangovers!" |
![]() |
"Can't you just have an orange juice?" |
![]() |
"Are you suffering, too?" |
![]() |
"The Posh and Becks of Cwmderi!" |
![]() |
"I'm going back to bed" |
![]() |
"The whole business is still going ahead, then?" |
![]() |
"I don't want to argue with you" |
![]() |
"I'll do everything to make sure I don't lose him!" |
![]() |
Dai is taken aback by her tone |
![]() |
Kelly is unsympathetic |
![]() |
Iolo and Eifion come in |
![]() |
"Everyone has seen it – even Megan!" |
![]() |
"Megan – using an emoji? 🙄 " |
![]() |
"Why did you put it on Facebook?" |
![]() |
"We heard what that bloke said" |
![]() |
Mathew and Rhys support Eifion |
![]() |
Non and Diane discuss flowers |
![]() |
"I'm surprised you don't have any friends" |
![]() |
"No way, José!" |
![]() |
"I know her better than I know you" |
![]() |
Non is disturbed by this argument |
![]() |
"I don't want you there at our wedding!" |
![]() |
"You can't help yourself, can you, Dai?" |
![]() |
"Something's not right here" |
![]() |
Sioned is relaxing with her crisps |
![]() |
"I like your onesie!" |
![]() |
"It was just a drunken snog" |
![]() |
Mathew is eavesdropping |
When Rhys adds that he has invited everyone else to the gig as well,
Sioned’s reaction changes, and now she says she is looking forward to it.
![]() |
"In that case, I'm looking forward to it" |
![]() |
"It was not a mistake" |
![]() |
Anita raises the holiday home issue again |
She maintains that buying a house will earn him money,
and he replies that she knows his position on that; she points out that his circumstances have now changed,
and that his principles will not pay the bills.
![]() |
"You know my position on that" |
![]() |
"Your principles won't pay the bills, Siôn" |
![]() |
"She's only got 32 friends – and they're all from Cwmderi" |
![]() |
"Megan's cat has more friends than that!" |
![]() |
"All that matters is that she makes DJ happy" |
![]() |
"You may be stopping DJ from being happy" |
![]() |
Dai thinks she is after his money |
![]() |
Ricky says he is going to sleep for a month |
![]() |
"You missed the excitement last night" |
![]() |
"How about that Sioned, then?" |
![]() |
"I'm not looking for a girlfriend" |
![]() |
But he does look, wistfully, at the shop flat |
![]() |
"Have you moved since this morning?" |
![]() |
"I had to move to be sick this morning" |
She adds that Rhys called; “And it was awkward, thanks to you.
“All he really wanted was his iPod,” she groans, with obvious disappointment.
![]() |
"All he really wanted was his iPod" |
Mathew rather callously informs her, “Rhys doesn’t have hangovers because of his body and clean living.
“Do you really think he’ll fancy a hung-over slob like you?”
She simply demands to be given her food.
![]() |
"And you think he'll fancy a hung-over slob like you?" |
![]() |
"Come on – where's my food?" |
![]() |
"You need to hear this before the game tomorrow" |
![]() |
"They can't do that!" |
![]() |
"You could call an urgent meeting" |
![]() |
"You don't have a team" |
“If I called an urgent meeting, would you play?” enquires Dai,
and is told that they would – but they want his full support.
![]() |
Dai does not have much choice |
![]() |
Anita tries to convince Siôn she is on the phone |
![]() |
"There's a lot of interest in the house" |
![]() |
"I know what you're trying to do" |
![]() |
"If we don't buy it – who will?" |
![]() |
She continues piling on the pressure . . . |
![]() |
. . . promising that he will be able to relax and enjoy himself . . . |
![]() |
. . . and he eventually capitulates |
![]() |
"But I want it to remain a secret" |
![]() |
"Well, at least they're discussing it" |
![]() |
"Having the support of the boys means a lot" |
![]() |
The police arrive . . . |
