"Here's my solicitor's details"

Gwyneth is becoming impatient, and wonders what is stopping Sara and Jason from making a decision about the house;  she gives the details of her solicitor to them, saying, “Let him know what you want to do, so we can start the process – 

"Otherwise I'll have to go to Tomos ac Ellis"

“otherwise I’ll have to go to Tomos ac Ellis.”

"There shouldn't be any problem"

Sara replies that, after checking a few financial details, there should be no problem, and insist that they are serious about buying the house.   

"That sounded like an ultimatum, Sara"

When Gwyneth has gone, Jason said it sounded like an ultimatum, 

"We shall have to work out what savings we have"

and Sara tells him, “We shall have to work out what savings we have, and how much of a mortgage we need.   Are you willing to look at the figures?”   

Jason is obviously concerned

Jason agrees to do so, but he does look slightly worried.

Llewelyn is wandering the village again . . .

As Gwyneth gets into Garry’s car, which she has borrowed, Megan’s cat, Llewelyn, is wandering around;  

. . . and Gwyneth reverses round the corner . . .

the car reverses round the corner by the mural, and the sound of a cat’s scream can be heard.   

. . . with a gruesome result

Gwyneth gets out and is horrified by the sight.

"Why didn't you tell me, Ffion?"

Gaynor visits Ffion at Cysgod y Glyn;  “Why didn’t you tell me?” she demands, 

"This must be serious"

and Ffion deduces that it must be something serious if it cannot wait until school.   

"The incident between Paul Jameson and Aaron Monk"

“It depends on your part in the incident between Paul Jameson and Aaron Monk two weeks ago,” Gaynor goes on, and Ffion realises that she has found out.

Gwyneth hides the evidence

Gwyneth places the cat’s mortal remains, wrapped in a black bag, into the boot of the car.   

She tells Ed she is taking stuff to the dump

Ed passes, and she tells him that she is taking some stuff to the dump for Megan.

Eifion has commandeered Tyler's dressing gown

Tyler is not happy to see Eifion wearing his dressing gown, nor that the milk has run out, owing to Eifion having a glass before he went to bed.   

"There's plenty of bread – and eggs"

Iolo protests that there is plenty of bread and eggs, and Tyler sarcastically encourages Eifion, “No, help yourself!”

"The CPS could take months over the charge"

Eifion did not sleep very well, and is worried that the CPS will go ahead with the assault charge, which could take months to sort out.   

"You could be a bit more welcoming"

When he goes upstairs for a shower, Iolo tells Tyler that he could be rather more welcoming;  “What was I supposed to do?   He’s going through hell,” Iolo insists, and is told that he will have a halo and wings at this rate.

"You'll grow a halo and wings at this rate"

“It’s bit impractical for a plumber,” is the reply, 

Tyler has had Lidl Swiss style Muesli for his breakfast

and again Tyler complains that there is no milk, so Iolo goes to get some.

"Is it true that there was a knife?"

“Paul’s father said there was a knife – is that true?” Gaynor asks, “Where did it come from?”   Ffion does not know the answer to that;  Gaynor advises, “He said that Aaron brought it.”

"It was on the ground when I arrived"

Ffion explains, “It was on the ground when I arrived, and it was not used.”   

"That's not the point, Ffion!"

Gaynor is adamant that is not the point;  there was a fight which involved a knife.   

"Paul had been bullying Aaron about Owen"

Ffion explains, “Paul had been bullying Aaron about Owen, calling his father a murderer.”

“Why didn’t you report that to me?” demands Gaynor, 

"I didn't want it dragged up again"

and Ffion points out that she did not want the business about Owen to be dragged up again. “So you were thinking of yourself,” Gaynor accuses, but Ffion says she did not want to make things worse for Aaron.

"You know the school's bullying policy"

Gaynor is becoming angry;  “You know the school’s bullying policy – I can’t believe you tried to brush it under the carpet.”   Again, Ffion emphasises that she was trying to protect Aaron, but Gaynor has no alternative but to investigate the matter further, gathering evidence from both sides.

"I told them both to forget it"

Ffion makes it clear, “I told them both to forget about it – it was easier for everyone, but Paul obviously told his father.   Sorry, it was unprofessional – 

"Suspension is what I deserve"

“I would understand if you wanted to suspend me.   It’s what I deserve.”   Gaynor replies that they are simply gathering evidence at the moment.

"Can you keep an eye out for Llewelyn?"

Outside the Apêl Maenan shop, Ed is helping by carrying some bags, and Megan asks him to watch out for Llewelyn, as he has managed to escape.   

"Are you sure you want to get rid of all this?"

She tells Gwyneth that she appreciates her assistance, as she needs a clear-out to make room for some quality stock, but is told that some of the stuff is lovely.   “With respect, I know what I’m doing,” is Megan’s reply.

Megan cannot refuse a free hairdo

Gwyneth suggests that Megan needs a treat, and invites her to the salon for a new hairdo, this afternoon, on the house.   Debbie has just arrived with something for the shop, and looks surprised at this offer.

Gwyneth is now on her way to the dump

When they have gone, Gwyneth loads the bags into the car, where the remains of Llewelyn are concealed.

"I hope this will make you less grumpy"

Tyler is doing the washing-up when Iolo returns with 4 pints of semi-skimmed milk, which he hopes will make Tyler less grumpy;  

"Look, Eifion hasn't been any trouble"

“Look, Eifion hasn’t been any trouble – I know it’s strange to have someone living with us, but it’s temporary.”   

Tyler goes to school

Tyler leaves for school.

"I hope you didn't crash it"

In the Deri, Gwyneth returns the car keys to Garry, who hopes she did not crash it;  

"No, but I ran over Megan's cat!"

“No, but I ran over Megan’s cat this morning!” she confesses.   

"Is the car all right?"

Garry grins, and asks if the car is all right;  she explains that the body is still in the boot.   “I could have left it down the back lane or at the dump, but I couldn’t – Megan would want to bury it.”   

"I want it out of the car!"

Garry is only concerned about getting it out of the car immediately, and that she thinks of dumping it behind the salon.   

"Have you seen Megan's cat?"

Ed comes in for an orange juice, and asks if Garry has seen the cat around;  

"I haven't – have you, Gwyneth?"

he replies, “No, I don’t think so – have you, Gwyneth?   Gone missing, has it?”

Gwyneth points out that old people do worry a lot, 

"She is probably missing the cat's company"

but Garry informs her that Megan is probably missing the cat’s company, 

Gwyneth feels even worse

and if he sees anything he will let Ed know.

The scene changes to a casino . . .

At a roulette table somewhere, the croupier invites the participants to place their bets, 

. . . where Jason is playing

and we see that one of them is Jason.   

He rejects a call from Sara . . .

His phone rings, and he sees it is a call from Sara, which he rejects.   

. . . and has won £525

He appears to have won £525, and leaves the table as his phone rings again.   

"Hi, Sandra – guess where I am . . ."

This time it is Sandra, and he tells her he is great;  “Guess where I am – and before you say anything, 

". . . and I've won £500!"

“I’ve won £500.   Are you coming over?   Come on – I feel lucky when you’re with me!   All right then, suit yourself.”

Gwyneth deposits the deceased feline in the back street

Gwyneth dumps the deceased cat in the back street, and puts the black bag in a bin;  

Megan is eager to have her har done . . .

on the corner by the chippy she is met by Megan.   “Do you think it’s too early to have my hair done now?” she asks, 

. . . and Gwyneth is eager to get here away from that area

and Gwyneth is only too willing to oblige.

"How long will he be staying?"

When Tyler returns home, he is in a better mood, but still would like to know how long Eifion will be staying;  

"Only until the end of next week"

he is actually in the kitchen and replies, “I was hoping to stay until the end of next week, as the boys are coming here, but I could cancel.”   Tyler says that he can stay as long as he needs.

This time Jason loses out

Again the roulette wheel spins, and this time the results are not in Jason’s favour;  

How much have you lost?"

Sandra appears and asks him, “How much have you lost?”   He replies that you win some and lose some.   “I knew you would still be here – please don’t do this to yourself, Jason.”   

"I'll be with tou in two minutes, all right?"

He assures her that he will be with her in two minutes.

“There’s no point me being here if you won’t talk to me – 

"If you're not careful, you'll lose everything!"

“if you’re not careful you will lose everything!” she warns.   He replies that if she is not going to bet, there is no point in her being there, so she walks away.

Megan is very pleased with her free hairdo . . .

Debbie hopes that Megan is happy with her hair, which she is, and she is pleased to have had a chat with Debbie.   

. . . which Gwyneth regards as an advertising opportunity

Gwyneth wonders if Megan will hand out some flyers, advertising 20% off, to the sisterhood at the chapel.   Megan replies that it is the least she can do.

Garry wants a nasal trim

Garry comes in, wanting an appointment for an nasal trim early on Friday morning;  “I’m going to see Seren and the boss – they’re fine, and have been doing a lot of swimming.   Seren’s been in the pool.”

Ed has bad news for Megan . . .

Then Ed comes in, looking very sombre;  “Megan, I’ve got some terrible news – Llewelyn – I think there’s been a hit and run.”   

. . . which causes her some considerable distress . . .

Megan is horrified and sinks into a chair.   “I’ll take him away until you decide what you want to do with the body,” Ed continues.

. . . and also Gwyneth 

As Gwyneth looks exceedingly guilty, 

"Who would do such a thing?"

Megan wonders who would do such a thing.

Gaynor advises Ffion to get a doctor's note

Gaynor is once again at Cysgod y Glyn, where she advises Ffion, “I think you should take the rest of the term off – I’m not suspending you, but you should get a doctor’s note to say you’re not over that business with Gethin and Sheryl.   You’re not fine – not by a long way.”

"Don't you have to discuss this with the governors?"

Ffion is adamant, “I don’t want time off.   Don’t you have to discuss this with the governors?”   Gaynor replies that she does, but they might decide that she should be suspended;  at least with the note she will get paid in full.

“Let the investigation go ahead, and take the time to make a full recovery,” Ffion is told, and realises that she has no choice.

"You can stay as long as you need"

As Iolo prepares their meal, Tyler tells Eifion that he is welcome to stay as long as he needs, 

"It will do me good to find my own place"

but he is insistent that he will be out of the place by the end of next week.   “It will do me good to find my own place.”

Tyler appreciates that it must be hard without having the boys around, and urges him not bottle up his feelings.   

He has a disciplinary panel in Cardiff

Eifion reveals that Dai phoned him earlier;  “I have to face a WRU disciplinary panel in Cardiff on Thursday, but I shouldn’t dwell on it too much – it’s nothing compared to an assault charge, is it?”

"Dai?   Supporting you?"

Iolo offers to take a day off to accompany him, but Eifion says that Dai is going to support him on behalf of the club;  “But I know he’s not famous for his diplomacy skills.”

Megan has a brandy, for the shock

In the Deri, Ed brings Megan a brandy, as she has had a shock;  

"You have kept his body safe, haven't you?"

“You have kept Llewelyn’s body safe, haven’t you?” she asks, and Ed is not looking forward to telling Kelly, as she will be upset, too.

"Who would do a thing like that . . ."

At the bar, Garry demands, “Who would do a thing like that?   Knock down an innocent little cat, 

". . . and then just drive off?"

“and then – this is the point – just drive off?”   

"It's a terrible thing to do"

Gwyneth agrees that it is a terrible thing to do.

Ed will escort Megan home

Megan has had enough and wants to go home;  Ed will give her a lift.  

"You deserve an Oscar for that performance!"

Garry tells Gwyneth that she deserves an Oscar for her performance, but she insists that she was not acting;  she has killed an innocent animal.

"Have you seen Jason?"

Sara comes in, looking for Jason, but is told he has not been in today;  Sara also informs Gwyneth that they are on the case with what they discussed this morning.

"Where have you been, Jason?"

She receives a phone call;  “At last, Jason – where have you been?”   

"Urgent job in Llanarthur all day!"

He replies that he has been on an urgent job in Llanarthur all day, and had no phone reception there.   They have just finished now, and Mathew will give him a lift, after they have tidied up.

"I'm sorting out the money"

“It was an emergency, Sara.   Don’t worry about the money – I said I would sort it out, and that is what I’m going to do.   See you later.”   

Then he rejoins Sandra . . .

Then he walks across to where Sandra is also gambling.

. . . who says she is going home

“I shouldn’t have come here,” she says, “I’ve been stupid, and I’m going – you go home too!   You won’t resolve anything here, and neither will I.”

"You're an addict, just like me!"

runs after her and explains, “I’m not just doing this for any reason you know,” but she answers that he is an addict, just as she is.   

"I'm trying to clear debts!"

“I’m trying to clear debts, OK?   It’s a stressful time – Sara wants to buy a house, and she thinks we've got more money than we have.”

Sandra cannot believe that he is trying to make up the shortfall here;  she demands how much debt he is in, 

"Fifteen thousand pounds!"

and he reluctantly replies, “£15,000!”
