Dai is in the café, trying to persuade Sara to change her mind about sponsoring the rugby club,

but she is quite adamant that Awyr Iach cannot be associated with failure. She points out that the club is on its knees, and Dai exclaims, “You’re telling me!

| "Mayday! And the club is the sinking ship!" |
“What’s the date – May 1st – Mayday, Mayday! And the club is the sinking ship!”
Sara mentions that a few of the boys were talking of playing football, which starts off Dai again;

| "It poisons the youngsters' minds!" |
“Soccer – that’s the problem! As soon as you introduce a round ball to Cwmderi, it poisons the youngsters’ minds!” When he hears that one of those advocating football is Jim, he goes off in search of him.
 |
| "I'm offering my services as a referee!" |
Colin comes into APD with an offer to serve as referee for the football team;

| Jim is quite impressed |
“I’ve refereed in the Cardiganshire league – and the Aberystwyth and district.” Jim tells him to come over to the Deri later,

| "We're trying to keep it hush-hush" |
as they are trying to keep it hush-hush.
 |
| Jim seeks safety in the toilet |
Then the door opens, and the ranting tones of Dai can be heard, so Jim hides in the Tyler.

| "Where's that swine, Jim?" |
“Where is that swine, Jim?” demands Dai, and Colin replies that he went to see Eileen in the shop. “Did you know that he’s been trying to set up a soccer club behind my back? Him and that doctor –

| "The doctor's a Gog!" |
“I can understand him liking soccer, he’s a Gog! But I don’t know what game Jim is playing!” He stomps off out of the shop,

| "You can come out now!" |
and Colin informs Jim that it is all clear.

| This is Blainley Storage's premises |
At a rather rundown yard in Swansea docks, with a sign proclaiming ‘Blainley Storage’, two guards and a dog are patrolling.

| Britt and Dani arrive nearby |
Britt parks up nearby and advises Dani to keep calm, but she jumps out of the car to have a look.
 |
| A Citroën is allowed in |
She sees a Citroën van which is allowed to enter the yard,
 |
| The dog has detected Dani |
and the guard dog appears to have noticed her.
 |
| Dani is collecting some evidence |
Britt tells Dani to take a photo with her phone, as the driver of the van appears to be tasting something. Dani does not like the look of this and wants to go,

| "Garry Monk for Mr Blainley" |
but then they notice the arrival of Garry’s car, which is also allowed in.
 |
| Sara is checking on her vlog |
As Sara is waiting at the cashpoint, she is admiring her handiwork on the vlog;
Vicky passes, and makes a disparaging remark,
 |
| Vicky is reluctantly complimentary |
but does admit that some of her recent vlogs are good.
Dai approaches, in no better humour,
 |
| "I'm after the Scarlet Pimpernel!" |
and comments that he is looking for the Scarlet Pimpernel, before hurrying away again. Sara tells Vicky that Jim is trying to arouse some enthusiasm for a football club.

| "Someone is on the phone for you" |
Gwyneth emerges from the Antur and tells Sara that someone is on the phone for her from Bangor.
 |
| Gwyneth smiles when she sees . . . |
When Gwyneth reaches the alley, she sees ahead of her Chester,

| . . . a rather battered Chester |
who is sporting a black eye; she smiles.
 |
| "I can't believe that Garry is dealing drugs!" |
Back in Swansea docks, Dani cannot believe that Garry is dealing drugs; “Meat was one thing – but drugs? He doesn’t deserve our help – he can rot!”

| That guard seems to have noticed them . . . |
One of the guards hears her raised voice, and comes out of the yard to investigate;

they make a rapid getaway, driving past the rather excited dog.

| Threatening behaviour from Gwyneth |
Gwyneth threatens, “I want that money this week, or you will have another black eye!” Chester just pleads to be left alone, but then he meets Colin,

| "Did you get that from Gwyneth?" |
who asks whether Gwyneth gave him the black eye. Elgan and Gaynor are walking past,
 |
| "You ought to go to the surgery" |
and the doctor advises that Chester should go to the surgery, but he just walks away.
Gaynor has been looking for Britt;

| "Chester has been suspended again!" |
“Chester’s been fighting at school,” she tells Colin, “It’s a serious matter – he’s been suspended again!” Colin chases after Chester,

| Chester looks desperate |
who by this time is looking quite desperate in the flat, and runs away when Colin arrives.
 |
| He locks himself in the bedroom |
He locks himself in the bedroom,

| "I just want to talk, Chester" |
but Colin assures him that he only wants to talk.
 |
| Chester appears to be in quite a state |
Chester appears to be suffering from a panic attack.
 |
| "Garry must be in with them" |
Dani looks through the photos she has taken, and comes to the conclusion that Garry must be in with them.
 |
| "He would never deal drugs!" |
Britt, however insists that Garry would never deal drugs; “Oh come on – what else was he doing there?” Dani demands,

| "We have to go to the police" |
“We have to go to the police – they can charge them with this evidence!”
Britt protests that they were supposed to be saving Garry, not sending him to prison; “I know you don’t want that – the fact that you still wear your wedding ring says something,” Britt replies. “We didn’t see Garry touch drugs, did we?”
Dani wonders what other reason he could have for being there;

at that moment his car pulls up outside the Deri.

| "Eifion wants his money!" |
Inside the pub, Cadno confronts Garry; “Eifion has packed yesterday’s meat, and he wants to be paid!” She is told that he likes to keep the workers happy, and retrieves another brown envelope from the till.
 |
| "There's another batch of meat tomorrow" |
He tells Eifion that he has organised another batch of meat, which will keep him busy tomorrow.
 |
| Dai is still after Jim |
Dai comes in, still looking for Jim,
 |
| "They're coming over to talk about a football club" |
and is told by Garry that he and Elgan are coming over now to discuss setting up a football club.
 |
| "I used to be a good keeper!" |
“I used to be a good keeper!” he boasts.
 |
| "Stuff your pint – and stuff the soccer!" |
“If you think I’ll stay around to listen to clowns talk about football, you can think again! Stuff the pint – and stuff the soccer!”

| "Chester has been suspended from school" |
Colin is trying to contact Britt, but then she walks into the flat; “Gaynor has been trying to talk to you – Chester has been fighting, and has been suspended from school.
 |
| "He's locked in his room" |
“He’s got a black eye, and has locked himself in his room.”
 |
| "I should have been here for him" |
Britt blames herself for not being here for him, to protect him. Colin is concerned about his state of mind; “Not just because of Hannah, but there might be something else on his mind as well.

| "He's up to his eyes in debt" |
“Don’t get angry, all right? I was trying to deal with it, but . . . Chester is up to his eyes in debt. Gwyneth lent him money and charged a high interest rate –

| "He owes thousands!" |
“he owes thousands!”
Britt takes exception to the fact that he has known this for about a month, and did not tell her, for fear of upsetting her.

| "How do you expect him to pay all that back?" |
“How do you expect him to pay thousands back to Gwyneth?” she demands,
 |
| "We need to sort him out!" |
“Right, we need to sort him out, this minute!”
 |
| "Don't let Cadno interfere" |
In the Deri, Garry warns Eifion not to let Cadno interfere in their business dealings.

| There appear to be several potential footballers out there |
The football club planning committee is in session, with Elgan reporting that Islwyn from the surgery is keen, and Gaynor adds that so is Daf, one of the biology teachers.
 |
| "How about a mixed team?" |
Garry suggests they could have a mixed team, if she is up for it, but she replies she does not think she will start playing football.
“If the team is well-organised, the Deri will sponsor the shirts,” he informs them, “If they’re Newcastle colours!”
 |
| Eifion also shows an interest |
Eifion comes over, saying he would be interested in a few games,
 |
| "Come on, time to go home!" |
but then is ordered to go home by Cadno.
 |
| "What's this big debt you owe Gwyneth?" |
“It was a big mistake to let you move here!” thunders Britt, “You’ve had far too much of your way – and what’s this big debt you owe Gwyneth?”

| "She had to know, Chester!" |
Colin says that his mother had to know, and she continues, “From one trouble to the next is the story of his life.
 |
| "You're going to come back to us" |
“It’s your fault, Chester, but it has to stop, and it’s going to stop now! It will be a good start to come back to us, and you can work every day as if you were in school, at the kitchen table, where I can see you!”

| "Fish is brain food" |
Colin adds that he will bring biscuits and coffee – “And fish if you want – it’s brain food!”
 |
| "And you'll work in the chippy and APD" |
Britt informs him that at evenings and weekends he can work in the chippy and APD, and all his wages will go to Gwyneth until you’ve paid her off!”

| "Yes, in 2050!" |
“Yes, in 2050!” Chester sighs.
Britt is confident that she will sort Gwyneth out, but she is not the problem – Chester is; “Things have got to change!”

| Dani is studying photos . . . |
Dani is puzzling over the laptop, studying the pictures she has taken,

especially the one that appears to involve tasting drugs. Then she looks at the ring on her finger, and picks up her phone;

| She intends to ring 101 |
she is about to dial 101, but then Carol can be heard on the baby monitor, so she turns off the phone.

| "We can have a kick about at the weekend" |
Jim suggests, “Let’s see what response we get before organising a friendly match – there’s already enough interest to have a kick about at the weekend.” Garry thinks he would make a good chairman,

| "I'll be your referee" |
then Colin joins them, and Jim warns that they are already in injury time.
Gaynor seems to remember that people used to refer to Colin as, “Whistle-happy,” but he replies that every good referee notices things which other people miss,

| "Come out, sunshine!" |
illustrating this by shouting, “Come out, sunshine!”
 |
| Dai comes slinking out of his hidingplace |
and Dai emerges from the shadows round a corner.
Dai snarls, “There he is, the man who’s been hiding from me all day – Judas!”
 |
| "If you're here to cause trouble . . ." |
Garry points out that if he is here to cause trouble, he will be asked to leave.
 |
| "This place stinks, anyway!" |
“Don’t worry, I’m off – this place stinks, anyway!” is Dai’s response “Plotting, that’s what they call it – and in the Deri, of all places! I hope Reg and Denzil’s ghosts haunt you and keep you awake for weeks!
 |
| "You're traitors, every single one of you!" |
“You’re all traitors – every single one of you – traitors!” Elgan is puzzled as to who Reg and Denzil are.

| "I'm not phoning the police" |
Dani goes to see Britt, to advise that she is not going to phone the police, but neither can she help Garry; “I can’t afford to be dragged into all this –

| "I have to think of Carol" |
“it’s his mess, and I have to think of Carol.”
 |
| "And I have to think of Chester" |
Britt agrees that she has to think of Chester, as well, as his head is all over the place and he needs help.
“I don’t know what’s going on – but I know he’s been banned from school for two weeks for fighting! I’ve moved him back here.

| "Right, I'd better go" |
Danny thinks that she had better leave,
 |
| "Garry is on his own now" |
and Britt summarises that Garry is on his own now.
 |
| "Sorry I went over the top" |
Chester comes back into the lounge, and his mother apologises for being rather over the top earlier. “You haven’t even asked why I hit him,

| "You just assumed it was my fault" |
“you just assumed it was my fault,” he says, and goes on to explain, “He was making fun of me, and some of the other boys – because Hannah dumped me.
 |
| "What was I supposed to do?" |
“What was I supposed to do? Just grin and bear it?” Britt admits that is always the best way, but he points out that he is a Monk,

| "Uncle Garry would have done the same" |
and Uncle Garry would have done exactly the same.
 |
| "Garry is not setting a good example" |
“Garry is not setting a good example at the moment,” she tells him, and urges him to start with a clean slate; she is so glad that he is back.
 |
| "Do you want a takeaway?" |
“Do you want a takeaway from the Tapas bar to celebrate being back? We’ll get through this together, you know – like we’ve done in the past.”

| Chester looks at the last thing he has left from Hannah |
Chester gets out the ring and looks at it.
