"The chippy flat is a mess"
Britt complains as usual that her flat is a mess, but Colin is being an angel, doing the ironing;  Dani says that she can cope at the Deri on her own.
"The customers will like to see a pretty face"
Then Garry comes downstairs and is rebuked by Britt, alleging that he is not yet fit enough to be up and about.   He is glad to see Dani there, expecting the customers will appreciate a pretty face.
Britt likens herself to the ugly sister, and tells him to go up and read the paper;  she will bring him a coffee.   She also instructs Dani to go up and have a talk to him, convinced that he is fit enough to handle the news.
"They were my Garibaldis – and I didn't have one!"
At Bryntirion, Dai moans about someone putting an empty packet of biscuits back in the tin;  “They were my Garibaldis – and I didn’t have one!”
"Someone or something has upset him"
Diane calls DJ, and is troubled that he has not left his bedroom since last night;  “Something or someone has upset him,” she asserts, and Dai offers to have some ‘man talk’ with him, but she forbids this.
DJ is not keen to talk
Then DJ comes down, sits at the table and pours a glass of orange juice without saying a word.   Dai cannot resist;  “Come on – get it off your chest – that’s why we’re here!”   DJ says that he and Non went for a picnic yesterday.   Dai continues, “Where’s Sioned?   I haven’t seen her for a while,”
"Sioned has moved out"
and is told that she has moved out.   Dai insists that they should send her a bill, as they are not Doctor Barnardo’s.
"She's gone somewhere a lot more dangerous than here"
When asked where she has gone, DJ ominously replies, “Somewhere a lot more dangerous than here!” and walks out of the house.
"Where do you expect me to find suppliers?"
Anita sees Cadno outside the café, and demands why she has been left in the lurch with meat for the Tapas bar;  “Where do you expect me to find suppliers at such short notice?   Is there any truth in the rumour?   “I heard that you buy foreign meat and relabel it.”
"People always stick the knife into the farmers"
“People always stick the knife into the farmers – no-one trusts us!” responds Cadno, “We don’t have any slaughterweight stock at the moment – the police came on a tip-off, and they didn’t find anything – tell that to your customers!”
"Take him upstairs and tell him everything"
As Garry is having an in-depth discussion with Mal, Britt instructs Dani to take Garry upstairs now, and tell him everything.   Dani replies that things are now loads better between them,
"I don't want to spoil things now!"
and she does not want to spoil that.   Britt points out, “But you’ve still got his money!”
Dani proposes to leave the money upstairs for him, and then he will not know where it has come from;  she is sure that he is just happy to be alive, and have her fussing over him.
“You’re so naïve sometimes, Dani,” sighs Britt, “In his head he’s plotting to get revenge on Blainley – he got stabbed, Dani!   And someone will have to pay for that, believe you me!”
Kath is reminiscing
Kath is reminiscing about old pop stars, recalling how she watched Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid three times;  “You know, I wouldn’t kick him out of bed now!” she says,
"They're all so false!"
but Non describes pop stars as so false, and walks out of the room.
"Why aren't you at the Tapas?"
In the café, Kelly is surprised that Anita is there and not working in the Tapas;
"I'm meeting Diane"

“I’ve arranged to see Diane for lunch, if you must know,” she replies, but Kelly doubts if she will come, under the circumstances.
At that moment, Diane appears, with Dai in tow;
"You're in good spirits, considering, like"
Kelly comments, “You’re in good spirits, considering, like.”   Diane looks blankly at her, so she elucidates,
“The accusations against Sioned – the police are questioning DJ for a sexual assault on Sioned.”
Is Sioned up to her old tricks again?
Anita is convinced she is up to her old tricks again, and Dai is sure that DJ would not touch Sioned.
"You put unfair pressure on Eifion"
Cadno tells Garry in the Deri, “Penrhewl’s name is dirt – years of hard work down the drain!   You put unfair pressure on Eifion – and we took all the risks!   We weren’t doing this to line our pockets – we were in financial difficulties -
"You're such a bully, Garry!"
“you’re such a bully, Garry!”
All he is interested in is when he will get his £10,000, but she tells him he is not getting £10,000.   “It’s not our fault that it went wrong!’
"Eifion was the last one to have the money"
Garry points out that Eifion had the money last, and that he pocketed it and ran away, “The coward!   Were you in on it as well?   You said you were in a financial mess!”
As Cadno stresses that the police found nothing at Penrhewl, because she had scrubbed it clean, Dani is taking an interest in their conversation.   Garry has it worked out that Eifion not only stole the money, but tried to get revenge, too, by tipping off the police.
"You've got until the end of the week"
He warns that she has until the end of the week to find the money.
Then Dani enlightens him
Dani intervenes, and breathlessly announces, “It was me – I took your money!”   Garry is lost for words.
She explains, “I know about Spencer Blainley – I bribed him to stop dealing with you, and then set you and Eifion up with a fake order – Eifion knew nothing about it.   I was worried it could turn nasty, Gar,
"I was desperate to get you out of this meat scam"
“and I was desperate to get you out of this meat scam.”
"You two deserve each other!"
Cadno snarls that they deserve each other, and walks out of the pub.
Garry demands, “Go and get my money – and prove to me that you’re not talking nonsense!”
Back at Bryntirion, Dai shouts for DJ to come downstairs, although Diane urges him to be sensitive.   “He should have told us straight –
"We looked like two lemons in the café"
“we looked like two lemons in the café.   People should keep their hands to themselves!”
'So you've heard, then?"
DJ comes down and remarks, “So you’ve heard, then?”   Dai hopes that he has a good explanation, as he has never felt so ashamed.
"She said I had sex with her"
“I don’t know what I am supposed to have done,” says DJ, “I went to the station to be questioned, and I still don’t know.   Sioned got drunk on the night of the party – and she has said that I had sex with her –
"It's a lie – I slept in my own bed!"
it’s a lie – I slept in my own bed!”
"It was a mistake to let her stay here!"
“I knew it was a mistake to let that girl stay in this house!” rants Dai, and DJ puzzles over how he is going to prove he is innocent,
"It's impossible!"
regarding it as an impossible task.
He should have told Dai and Diane"
When Anita reaches home, she is adamant that it was DJ’s place to tell Dai and Diane, but Kelly protests that it is only right that they know.
Anita maintains that she should be careful, as DJ is under investigation, and she does not want Dai and Diane thinking she does not support them.
"I wouldn't wish it on anyone!"
“I’ve been raped, OK?   I wouldn’t wish it on anyone!” Kelly replies, “If he has raped Sioned, it’s awful!” but again Anita says that he would not do something like that.
“We’re all forgetting one thing – we’re talking about Sioned – and we all know what she’s like!” Kelly points out, “She accused Ed of raping her – and that was a pack of lies.
"If she can lie once, she can lie again"
“If she can lie once, she can lie again.”

Non is still very quiet at Maes-y-Deri, and Kath wants to know what is wrong;  “Sioned has been raped,” Non replies, “On the night of the party at Bryntirion – the police have questioned DJ.   We had a great day yesterday – and then the police arrived.”
Kath asks if he has tried anything before, and Non denies it;  “We argued on the night of the party, and I told him to chase Sioned if she was his type –
Non thinks she is somehow responsible . . .
“I’m worried that I’m responsible for what happened to her.”
. . . but Kath tells her otherwise
Kath attempts to calm her.
"There's £4,000 in there"
Dani goes up to the Deri flat and puts down the envelope of money;  “There’s £4,000 in there,” she explains, “I had to pay off Blainley for him to end the deal with you – he wanted £6,000, and I thought it was a bargain if it meant you were out of trouble..”
He empties the money on to the table, as she continues, “I was going to tell you, but then you got stabbed – and I felt awful, knowing that it was my fault.
"I didn't expect it to turn out like this"
I really didn’t expect that it would turn out like this – I’m so sorry!”

"Now you've cheated me again!"
Garry snarls, “You cheated with Mathew – and now you’ve cheated me again!”   She pleads that she did not want Carol to lose her father,
"Get out, Dani!"
but he simply tells her to get out, which she duly does.
Cadno leaves yet another message for Eifion;
"Dani stole the money"
“No-one is after you – Dani stole the money.   She’s admitted it, and I’m so angry with her!   Look, the boys are missing you.   Phone me when you get this message, OK?
"And come home!"
“And come home!”
Dani sits on the stairs
Britt finds Dani sitting at the bottom of the stairs in the Deri;
"There's no telling what he'll do!"
“When he loses his temper, there’s no telling what he will do!” she says.
Dani stops her from going up to sort out Garry, arguing that there is no point.
"There's no hope of rescuing this marriage!"
“It’s over, Britt, there’s no hope of rescuing this marriage – and it’s all my fault!”
"I'm worried about Non"
Kath arrives at Bryntirion, wanting to talk to DJ;  “I’m worried about Non,” she begins, and Diane replies that if this about the stories that are circulating, she is making a mistake.
"I have nothing to be ashamed of"
DJ informs her that he has nothing to be ashamed of,
"Well, keep away from Non!"
but Kath tells him to keep away from Non, while Diane emphasises that DJ has not been charged with anything.   Nevertheless, Kath maintains that Non’s health is her first concern.
"You go and sort Sioned out, and leave DJ alone!"
“Non is being hurt by Sioned’s lies – so go and sort her out, and leave DJ alone!” shouts Diane.   DJ reiterates once more that he did not touch her, but slept all night in his own bed, adding that it is obvious that no-one here believes him.
Britt brings Dani a drink . . .
In the bar at the Deri, Britt brings Dani a drink,
. . . and Garry takes it away again
but Garry informs her that she is not welcome there.   “You didn’t even stop me going after the money – when I was stabbed!   I can’t trust you again!”
"Don't mess with people like Blainley!"
Britt instructs him, “You don’t mess with people like Spencer Blainley – he’s dangerous – you’re better off without him!”   He accuses her of taking Dani’s side against her own brother,
"I don't need either one of you!"
and points out that he does not need either of them.
Britt continues, “Dani put herself in danger because she loves you.
"You're too stubborn and stupid!"
“That’s what’s behind this – but you’re too stubborn and stupid to see it!”
Garry shouts at them both to leave - now.
