Garry is desperate for footballers
Garry is on the phone to Jim;  “We have to get more players – even if they’re geriatrics, OK?”
"I've got to have a word with you, Garry!"
Then Dani comes in, demanding to have a word with him, but he is too busy with this football business;
He is far too preoccupied with the football
“Your brother and Iolo have pulled out – there was a bust-up with your mother, apparently.”
Dani is undeterred;
"I want you to stop doing these dodgy deals!"
“I want you to stop doing these dodgy deals!” she demands, “I want the best for Carol,” but he tells he is too busy, and that she should go home.
As he walks out of the flat,
She picks up his phone . . .
she notices his phone, left on the table, picks it up
. . . and composes a text
and sends a text to Spencer Blainley.
"Are you sure you don't fancy a game?"
Colin is angry is that more players have pulled out of the inaugural game;  “Are you sure you don’t fancy a game?” he asks Chester.   Britt tries to get him to play, as Colin is desperate to be a referee;
Britt offers Chester some bribes
she promises that if he plays he will not have to revise for the rest of the day.   Seeing his chance,
"And unlimited use of the computer?"
he also demands unlimited use of the computer, and his mother agrees.
Colin is drinking his protein shake,
"OK, Colin, I'll play!"
and Chester announces to him that he has changed his mind, which Colin greatly appreciates.
Eileen receives an official letter
Eileen has received a letter from the blood and transplant unit at Carmarthen hospital;  she hides it when Jim comes in,
Jim is worried about her
pleased that Chester will be playing today.   “Are you all right?” he asks, “You look like it’s the end of the world.”
"I won't be coming to the game . . ."
She explains that she is just tired, and will not be coming to the game.
". . . I'm going to see Cadno"
“I’m going to see Cadno, to help her with the accounts of the organic business.”   Jim is pleased to hear they are now on better terms,
"Come on, Dyfan James – answer your phone!"
then tries to contact Dyfan James on his phone.
"I'm going to meet Spencer Blainley"
Dani goes to visit Britt, and informs her that she is going to meet Spencer Blainley this afternoon;  “I’m going to show him the photos, and try to persuade him to stop doing deals with Garry.
"I've tried to persuade Garry"
“I’ve tried to persuade Garry to stop this nonsense, but he won’t listen, so I have no choice but to sort it out myself.”
"He's a dangerous bloke, mind!"
Britt points out that this Blainley bloke is very dangerous, and she thought they were going to let Gary sort out his own mess.   Dani again says that he is Carol’s father, and she has to put Carol first.   She will not let Britt come with her, but hands over a piece of paper with details of where she is meeting him.
"If I'm not back by four, call the police!"
“If I’m not back by four o’clock, call the police.   I’ll text you later.”
"Another section of the shed roof has come off"
Cadno complains that another section of the shed roof has come off, and Eifion is not surprised with the high winds last night;
"I'll sort it out later"
he says will sort it out later.   She moans, “You do more work for Garry than on your own farm these days.”
Eileen arrives to scrutinise the accounts
Then Eileen comes visiting and she and Cadno sit down to look at the accounts.
The rather depleted teams take to the field
Down at the football club,
"It will have to be five-a-side"
Garry suggests that with the shortage of players they will have to play five-a-side.
"Shut up and get on with it, Chester!"
Chester tells Garry that he does not want to play, but is told to shut up and get on with it.
Garry is concerned about Dani
Garry asks Britt if she has seen Dani:  “She came over this morning – something wasn’t quite right.   I’m worried about her.”   Britt sends a quick text to Dani.
Meanwhile Dani awaits her meeting . . .
Dani is in a pub somewhere, presumably Swansea, when the text arrives, asking, “How’s it going?”   She goes to sit at a table,
. . . and checks the photos on her phone
and looks through the photos on her phone.
Eileen is pleased that Penrhewl is doing well . . .
Their work done, Cadno closes the laptop, and Eileen says that it is important to her that Penrhewl is doing well;
. . . and regrets all the tension
“I don’t like the fact that there has been tension between us – I really regret being so hard on you.”   When Cadno suggests another cup of tea, Eileen says that she has to be going to the hospital, then realises what she has said,
Quick as a flash, she manufactures a story
and invents an old friend of Auntie Marian, who had a stroke.
Here comes Blainley
Dani is ready to leave when Blainley comes into the pub;  he says he has pressing matters to attend to,
"I can't waste time with a small-time crook like you"
and cannot waste time with a small-time crook like Dani.
"I want you to stop doing business with Garry Monk"
“OK, I want you to stop doing business with Garry Monk,” she tells him, and he replies that he knows she is Garry’s wife.
"And why should I do that?"
He wants to know why he should stop doing business, and she shows him the incriminating photos.   “It would be a shame for the police to see them,” she goes on, “I have copies too – and people know where I am.”
"I could get rid of you overnight!"
He suspects that she does not know who she is dealing with;  “I could get rid of you overnight – and I wouldn’t lose a minute’s sleep.”
Jim is surprised Cadno is there
As Jim watches the match, he is surprised to see Cadno there;  she reports that Eileen has gone to the hospital to see Ann, Auntie Marian’s friend, who has had a stroke.
"Obviously this Ann is more important than me"
“She didn’t mention it to me – obviously this Ann is more important than me!” he grumbles.
"I fixed the shed!"
Cadno goes over to Eifion, and he admits that Garry has taken up a lot of his time lately, then assures her that the shed roof has been fixed.
"Come on, Dani – answer!"
Britt tries Dani’s number again, but there is no reply.
"Garry would be the first person I'd drag down!"
Blainley brings Dani a drink, and knows that she will not take the photos to the cops;  “Because Garry would be the first person I would drag down with me.”
"He has contacts with the cops"
She informs him that Garry has contacts with the cops, and no-one would touch him, but he points out that does not make sense,
"So why do you want to stop the deals?"
and he wonders why she would want to stop these deals if he is untouchable.
"Because I want my husband back"
“Because I want my husband back,” she tells him, “I bet your wife never sees you.   I am willing to make it worth your while – if you cancel the order, “I’ll make sure you get £5,000. For doing nothing – just profit!”
She wants him to text Garry"
He has little difficulty in forcing her up to £6,000;  “I want you to text Garry, and tell him a different person will be waiting for the £10,000 tomorrow,” she instructs,
Blainley looks puzzled by her demands
“I shall make sure it’s all sorted out – so do you want the £6,000 pounds or not?”
Cwmderi have managed to score a goal
Back at the football game, it appears that Cwmderi are winning one-nil, and the referee stops the game,
There is an altercation – involving Chester
after Chester attacks one of the opposition,
Britt is furious, as the final whistle sounds
and is shown a red card.   Britt objects most strongly to this, insisting that it was not Chester’s fault, and with that, the game ends.
"I can't believe you did that, Colin!"
“Well, Colin, I can’t believe you did that – after all he’s been through!” she rants, but Colin replies that he had no choice.
"You're hard work . . ."
Blainley informs Dani that she is hard work, but he can appreciates what Garry sees in her.
". . . what do you want me to tell your hubby?"
“Come on then, what do you want me to tell your hubby?”
Garry is just back at the Deri . . .
The footballers return to the Deri,
. . . when he sees the text
where Garry receives a text, telling him, “Cash tomorrow.”
Garry wants a favour from Eifion
Eifion complains that no-one asked him to play, and Garry tells him that he wants a favour;  “I want you to do the delivery tomorrow – the cash for the meat.   I’ve got another job to do, so you’ll have to go.”
"He shouldn't be doing your donkey work!"
Cadno insists that Eifion should not be doing his donkey work, and Garry points out that they all have to get their hands dirty.   Eifion agrees to do it just this once.
Eileen has just leaned that Dani is home
Britt is pleased to receive a text telling her that Dani is home;  Colin returns from the football.   He apologises to Britt, that he had no choice but to book Chester;
"He was looking for a fight!"
“He was looking for a fight!”   He is surprised that Britt now agrees with him, but she insists that she has to go and see Dani, as she suspects she is ill.
Colin sends bananas, in lieu of grapes
Colin gives Britt a bunch of bananas to take to Dani, in the absence of any grapes.
"Forget it, Col!"
Chester emerges from his room, and tells Colin to forget about the red card;  “Why are you so angry?” Colin asks him, “Look, you’re angry now – it’s in your shoulders and your face.
"Fighting at school last week – and on the football field"
“You’re obviously not fine – fighting in school last week, and on the football field today.”   Chester tells Colin to shut up, as everything is OK.
"We had to play five-a-side"
Eileen is doing the washing-up, when Jim comes home, reporting that they played five-a-side in the end.
"How did it go at the hospital?"
“How did it go at the hospital?” he enquires, “Cadno told me you went to see someone called Ann – I thought you would be more interested in my new venture than visiting some old woman I’ve never heard of.”
Eileen embellishes the story
She apologises, but embellishes the story that Ann has been very ill over the last few days;  “I was on the way to Penrhewl to see Cadno when her daughter phoned.   She lives in Milton Keynes and I didn’t have the heart to say no.
"They were such good friends"
“She and Marian were such good friends – but that’s no excuse!”
“I know how much the football means to you, and I should have made an effort – next time, OK?”
"I'll make you a linesman at the next game"
He says that he will make her a linesman next time.
"I kept thinking of you in a body bag!"
At number 7, Britt is angry that Dani took her time sending a text;  “I was worried – I kept thinking of you in a body bag!”
"Why the bananas?"
Dani wonders why she has the bananas.
"He agreed to stop doing business with Garry"
“He’s agreed to stop doing business with Garry,” Dani announces, and Britt wants to know what was the catch.
"Garry will think he's delivering to Blainley, but . . ."
“Blainley has given Garry new orders for the drop-off.   Garry will think he is delivering to Blainley, but actually he will be delivering to me.”
Britt learns that this cost Dani £6,000
Britt wonders why he would agree to that, and is told that Dani is giving him £6,000.   “And Garry will go mad when the meat doesn’t turn up,” says Britt, “This is ridiculous!”
"You wanted to save Garry"
Dani reminds her she was the one who wanted to save Garry, so that is what she is doing.
"I hope you know what you're doing!"
Britt fears what they will do next, and hopes Dani knows what she is doing.
