Garry is still in some pain
Garry is in some pain from his injury;  he puts the £4,000 back into the envelope
He looks at a photo of Dani
and looks at a photo of Dani.
"Very nice lunch, Colin"
Chester has enjoyed his lunch, prepared by Colin, who also insists on clearing it away.
"How about going back to school?"
He suggests that Chester should go back to school this afternoon,
"I thought there would be a catch"
which was the catch Chester was expecting.   “Has anything upset you?   I can have a word with Gaynor if you like,” Colin suggests, but is told that Chester intended going back this afternoon anyway.
"Not many people get one up on Garry Monk"
Tyler compliments Dani that not many people manage to get one up on Garry Monk,
"I took a risk – and it backfired!"
and she replies, “I took a risk – and it backfired!”   He says that she was brave to go out of her way to save her husband from that thug.   Carol starts crying upstairs, and Dani, although tired, goes to her, commenting that there is not a lot of point patching things up with Garry;  “There’s nothing more to say, Tyler.”
"They've withdrawn their order!"
Sara is complaining because one of Awyr Iach’s customers have withdrawn an order, worth thousands;  “They’ve heard about DJ – they don’t want to deal with us while he’s still manager here.   Perhaps it’s not a good idea for him to carry on working here – not with an ongoing police investigation.”
"It's nothing more than gossip!"
Jason points out that all the talk about DJ is nothing more than gossip, but she is worried about how the situation will affect the business, as other companies could cancel too.
"DJ can have some more holiday"
“He has had a few days off, so perhaps he can have some more holiday!” she proposes, but Jason is adamant that DJ needs their support.
Diane goes on about the Penrhewl meat
Meanwhile, DJ is eating at Bryntirion, while Diane gossips about the Penrhewl foreign meat scandal;  “Gossip – that’s the trouble with this village!” DJ moans,
"I don't know what I should do next"
“I don’t know what I should do next – do I contact the police or what?”   Diane suggests that he should appoint a solicitor, one Elin Francis, her niece.
"But she defended Kevin"
DJ remembers that she was the one Diane organised to defend Kevin;  “You must think I’m guilty!” he says, and she admits that she made a mistake there, but is quite sure that he is innocent.   She also remarks that it does not help when he is hiding in the house all the time, and urges him to hold his head up high.
"Carry on as if nothing's happened"
“Go to work and carry on as if nothing’s happened,” she recommends, “You need something to take your mind off this awful business.   I’m sure they need you there.”
Garry has changed his dressing
Garry has changed his bloodstained dressing for a clean one, and quickly removes the evidence when he hears Dani coming upstairs.
"Have you calmed down yet?"
He confirms that he has now calmed down,
Carol seems to be quite happy
and she says she thought he would like to see Carol.
“Before I go, I need to say a few things,” she tells him, “You’ve had your chance to get things off your chest,
"You've treated me like scum"
“so now it’s my turn!   You’ve treated me like scum over these last few months – You’ve made nasty remarks, made me feel pathetic, you’ve shattered my self-confidence.
"It would have been easy to let Blainley have his way"
It would have been easy to let Blainley have his way with you – because there would have been a chance you would be out of my life for good then – much less hassle.
"I couldn't have done that to Carol"
But, do you know what?   I couldn’t have done that to Carol.   I want her to grow up knowing her father.   I admit I got a kick from getting one up on you – it felt good – it felt as if I was in control of the situation.
"It's time we respected each other"
I am fed up with playing games with you, so I’m not doing it any more.   It’s time we grew up and respected each other – so when you’re ready to talk sensibly, about arrangements for Carol – her future, things like that – give me a shout!”
"I'm fed up, too"
As she turns to walk out, he agrees that he is also fed up, and is ready to have a sensible discussion, so she tells him to put the kettle on.
DJ arrives at Awyr Iach and tells Jason that this is not just some everyday occurrence;  “I’ve been accused of raping a woman!”
"I'll deliver this later"
He notices a parcel which is due for delivery today, and says he will do it later.
Sara takes over the conversation;
"Why not take some holiday?"
“Jason and I have been talking – you’ve got a week’s holiday to take, so why not go away.”
"I'm an embarrassment to you"
DJ realises that they do not want him here, as he is an embarrassment to them, but Sara tries to convince him they are saving him from being hurt, mentioning the company who have cancelled their order.   “Once you’ve cleared your name, you can come back to work.”   Jason stresses that he is not getting the sack.   DJ picks up his jacket and walks out.
"I shall find a flat locally"
Dani explains her plans to Garry;  “I shall move out of number 7 and find a flat locally, then Carol can live in both homes,
Carol is playing quite contentedly
but she will need a routine so she knows where she’s staying and when.”
Garry is in favour of this
Garry is quite agreeable to all this.
“And then there’s maintenance – we need to sort that out,” she continues,
"And then there's maintenance"
“I intend to go back to work at the salon.”   She is amazed that Garry accepts her proposals without argument.   “Aren’t you going to shout at me?   Or stop me from moving away from Cwmderi?   Or smash my door down?”
"I don't want to control you
He concedes that he is not going to stop her any more;  “I don’t want to be that person who controls you – you deserve better than that.   That is what you want, isn’t it?”   She points out that is what she wanted five months ago, a year ago – that is what she has always wanted.
She wonders why he has changed now, and he replies that hurting her was easier than letting her go.   He pleads with her not to go.
Colin is chatting to Tyler
In the shop, Colin is explaining to Tyler about his his latest money-making scheme in connection with the football club;  “The main prize – well, the only prize – is a free meal for one in the chippy.”   Then he sees Chester passing outside, with his arm in a sling;
"Don't say you've been fighting again, Chester!"
“Don’t say you’ve been fighting again!   Your mother’s going to kill you!” he squeals, but is told that Chester tripped while on his phone.
"Carol's asleep"
At the Deri flat, Carol is now asleep;  Garry enquires, “Is it true what Britt said yesterday – that you did all this because you love me?   Why – after everything I’ve done to you?”
"You used to make me feel really special"
She does not know the answer to that, but recalls that he used to make her feel really special – she felt that she was all that really mattered in his life.
She thought that feeling would last for ever.   “You said you loved me too – did you mean it, or was it just one of your mind games?   It doesn’t feel as if you love me.”
"But when you went off with Mathew . . ."
Garry blames it on the fact that he is angry, and feels hurt;  he thought that he was all that mattered to Dani.   “But when you went off with Mathew – let me be honest with you – no-one has ever made me feel so weak and pathetic.   But no-one has ever made me so happy, either – so what am I supposed to do?
"I miss you"
“I miss you – my wife, my child’s mother.   I’ve tried to forget about you, tried to move on, but I can’t move on without you.”
Diane is angry with Sara
Diane is furious when she hears about DJ not being required at Awyr Iach;  he expects that he will be banned from the café and the Deri next, and will not be able to show his face in the village.   “I don’t know if I’m going to be charged –
"This could be dragged out for ages"
“this could be dragged out for ages.”   Diane seems convinced that he will not be charged with anything, but he says that mud sticks.
Chester is having problems, one-handed
Chester is having difficulties playing his computer game one-handed;  “I can’t help you if you won’t tell me the truth,” begins Colin, “Is someone picking on you?”
"I sprained my wrist in the gym"
Chester finally admits that he sprained his wrist, in the gym, where he went to lift weights instead of going to lessons.
Dani is getting angry
Dani is becoming angry;  “You turn your back, and when I do the same, you can’t handle it.   Why say all those things to me?   To play with my mind?   I’m messed up enough as it is.”
"I'm messed up, too!"
Garry protests that he is also messed up, and she rages, “I know what you’re trying to do, and it won’t work.   I’ve only just moved out – people will think I’m nuts!”   He tells her to stop worrying about what people think, and demands what she wants.
"I want you"
She answers simply, “I want you,” and kisses him.
"The boy's in pieces, Sara!"
Diane goes to Awyr Iach and reprimands Sara;  “The boy’s in pieces – it’s less than a year since he lost his mother!”   She is told that the job is still here for him when he clears his name.   “You’re treating him as if he’s guilty!” roars Diane, “He needs support, not a knife in his back.”
"How would you like getting the sack like that?"
She she turns her attention to Jason;  “Put yourself in his shoes – how would you like getting the sack like that?   I’m concerned about his mental state – one thing can easily lead to another.   Try and persuade Sara to change her mind.”
"Sara, I think you're being rash"
He makes an attempt;  “Sara, I think you’re being rash in the way you’re treating DJ,” but she replies that she has no choice.
Colin thinks that weight training is what Chester needs
At number 7, Colin escorts Chester to his first session with Tyler’s home gym.   “As you’ve shown an interest in bodybuilding, I thought you should learn to do it right,” Colin announces, “So I’ve brought you to an expert.   That’s what I was like in my prime!   They used to call me Mr Muscle in Lampeter.”
"It's best if you join a gym"
Tyler says that it is best if he joins a gym, but Chester reckons that Colin has had one of his funny turns,
"I'm not interested in bodybuilding"
and he is not interested in bodybuilding.
"I had a nightmare last night"
As they cuddle up together, Garry relates that he had a nightmare last night;  “That you’d met Spencer Blainley again!”   He admires her, as it took guts to do what she did,
"The stabbing was not part of the plan"
but she makes it quite clear that his stabbing was not part of the plan.
Garry did not know he was a drug dealer
“Did you know that he deals in drugs – big time?” she asks, and he replies that if he had known, he would have had nothing to do with him, because drugs destroy people’s lives.   He does not want to make money out of that.
"I won't go after him"
He promises, on Brandon’s grave, that he will not go after Blainley.   She insists that if they are going to do this, it has to be done properly;  “No more treating each other like dirt – this is our last chance.
Suddenly Garry winces in pain
They embrace each other, and Garry winces in pain;
Blood soaks through his shirt
blood is soaking through his shirt, and he tells her to phone Elgan,
"Ambulance, please"
but she instead dials 999 for an ambulance.
