"You're not letting him in?"

Kelly cannot believe that Anita is letting Kevin in, after what he did;  

"I've come to talk about Dad's sperm"

he assures them that he is not here to cause trouble, and will not stay long.   “Only long enough to say why I’m here – I’ve come to talk about my father’s sperm.   

"The clinic said there's a problem"

“Well, he froze them for me originally, but the clinic said there is a problem with the rights now.   I can’t have children, and Dad knew that – so he wanted to make sure I could have a family of my own, if I wanted.”

"And you want children now?"

Anita assumes that he does want children now, 

"I'm in a relationship with Janine"

and he confirms, “Yes, I’m in a relationship with Janine – it’s hard to believe, isn’t it?   Look, I’m not here to cause trouble, but something has happened to my right to use this sperm.”

"I have that right"

Anita informs him that she has that right, 

"My name's on the consent form"

but Kevin is adamant that his name is on the consent form.   She seriously doubts this, and Kelly points out that whatever Meic’s intentions were, he changed his mind;  “So it’s up to Auntie Anita what she wants to do with it – and there is no point you being here!”   Kevin says that this is not right.

Gethin sneaks in the back way

Sheryl is sitting at home with a cup of tea when Gethin lets himself in through the back door;  “A happy birthday text would have been nice,” he tells her, but she responds that it was unlikely after the way he behaved last night.   

"Do you get a kick out of playing games with me?"

“Do you get a kick out of playing games with me in front of Hywel?” she demands, and he says that perhaps he does.   He is looking forward to their meal tonight, 

"I can't do this any more!"

but Sheryl insists that she cannot do this any more;  “You have hurt me too much – leave me alone!”   He replies that he cannot, as he loves her.

"If you love me, you'll leave me alone!"

“If you love me, you’ll leave me alone!   Please!   This has to stop, once and for all.  Just go!”   He looks mournfully at her, 

Has Sheryl got through to him?"

then turns and leaves without another word.

"I don't trust her, Iolo!"

Tyler is still extremely suspicious of his mother, 

"She sais she'd sorted out Steve"

although Iolo tends to believe Wendy that she has now sorted out Steve.   

Tyler sets a trap for Wendy

Tyler puts a £20 note on the noticeboard;  “We’ll see if she takes it – she’ll be out if she misbehaves!”   

"Drink this and chill out!"

Iolo gives him a can and tells him to chill out.

Wendy arrives, all full of bonhomie

Then Wendy does indeed arrive, and has brought some coloured balls for Greta, and some for Carol, 

"Dani has gone out with Carol"

but Dani has taken her out at the moment.   “I’ve just had a couple of cans to calm my nerves – I didn’t know what you were cooking, but cider goes with everything, doesn’t it?” she says, 

She brings them a bottle of cider

producing a bottle.

"But why now, Kevin?"

Anita demands, “But why now?” and Kevin replies that he and Janine want a child – that was always the plan.”   Kelly does not trust him, 

""I am involved if it upsets Auntie Anita!"

and points out that she is involved, if it upsets Auntie Anita, who maintains that she is just trying to make sense of it all.   

"Come to the Deri and talk to Janine"

“Please, if you don’t believe me, come to the Deri now and talk to Janine yourself,” he urges her, but Kelly asks why Uncle Meic would change the name on the consent form.   

"You influenced him – didn't you?"

Then Kevin accuses Anita of influencing him, but she protests that she did not know he had frozen anything until two weeks ago.   Kelly put her foot down;  “That’s enough – you’re leaving now!”   However, he is adamant that he is not going anywhere.

Ffion is rushed off her feet

Ffion is rushed off her feet, preparing the meal, and complains that Gethin has not been helping at all.   “Arwen and I have made you a cake, so that the three of us can spend time together before they arrive.   

"Did you have to be late tonight, of all nights?"

“Did you have to be late tonight, of all nights?”

"Go and have a shower!"

He picks up an envelope and opens it;  Dani had brought it a few minutes ago.  Ffion shouts at him to go and have a shower, as their guests will be there in less than an hour

Greta is playing with the balls when Iolo announces that the meal is ready;  it is Spaghetti Bolognese.

It is mealtime at number 7

"You look tired, Sher"

As they prepare to go for their meal, Hywel says he has bought a DVD for Gethin, and comments that Sheryl is looking tired.   

She is desperate to avoid this meal . . .

She explains, “I’ve got a sore throat, that’s all – is it too late to cancel?   I don’t like going to things if I’m not feeling my best.   Please – will you phone them?”

"Just focus on enjoying yourself"

He insists that it is too late to cancel now, and encourages her to focus on enjoying herself.   

"That's a bit over the top"

She considers that the card which Hywel has bought for Gethin is rather over the top, and 

"Thank you for your loyal friendship" – Yeah right!

Hywel reads, “Thank you for your loyal friendship – happy birthday Geth, mate!”   Then she capitulates, saying that it is a lovely sentiment.

"The sperm is our only chance"

Kevin is still pleading, “Anita – the sperm is our only chance to have children – you don’t understand – why would you refuse?   Why are you being so unreasonable?”   She replies that he is the one who does not understand.

"Do you want to punish me?"

He shouts, “Do you want to punish me?   Don’t you think prison was enough punishment for me?   What does it matter to you anyway?   It’s not as if you’re going to use the sperm, are you?”

"You're losing your marbles!"

He looks at her expression, and adds, “Are you – seriously?   Are you losing your marbles?   Don’t talk nonsense – it was meant for me anyway!”

Kelly screams for him to leave immediately, 

Siôn arrives just at the right minute

and then Siôn returns from the Deri with the wine, very surprised to see Kevin there.   Kelly says that he was just leaving, and as Kevin has had his say, he turns to go, 

"I'm not leaving Cwmderi until you come to your senses"

but not before advising Anita, “I’m not leaving Cwmderi until you come to your senses – do you understand?”

Gethin seems to be putting away the wine

At the birthday dinner, Gethin says that he got a new tennis racket from Ffion, and she points out that it would do him good to keep fit.   
Gethin seems to remember that Hywel and Sheryl play tennis;  “We could play a match sometime – 

"Mixed doubles – but swap partners!"

“mixed doubles – but swap partners!”   

Another dig at Sheryl

Sheryl looks embarrassed, 

"I prefer hockey and netball"

and Ffion says she prefers hockey and netball to tennis.   They wish Gethin happy birthday, 

Sheryl does not wish him good health

some more enthusiastically than others.

"You don't have to rush into a decision"

Siôn explains that Anita does not have to rush into any decision, but she wonders why Meic did not tell her anything;  

"Now I think it's a curse!"

“Initially I thought it was some kind of miraculous gift – but now I think it’s a curse.   I don’t know what to think now.”

"He's got a nerve, turning up here!"

Kelly considers that Kevin has a nerve, turning up there, but Anita asks, “What did you expect him to do in the circumstances?   Perhaps it is not such a bad thing that he has come. 

"At least, we know why Meic froze his sperm"

“At least we know why Meic froze his sperm now.”   Siôn still regards it as a weird thing to do, but Anita points out that he was simply trying to help his son, and it makes a lot more sense now.

"It was terrible – they were all out of tune"

As they drink wine after the meal, Gethin recalls an occasion, when he was with Sheryl, they went to see a Take That tribute act.   “It was terrible – they were all out of tune – I could have done better!”   

He gives a very convincing performance

“He starts singing, particularly raucously, and Ffion tries to calm him down.

"How about a nightcap in the Deri?"

Hywel suggests that they go to the Deri for a nightcap, but they have Arwen to consider..   While he and Ffion are otherwise engaged, 

Sheryl rebuffs his drunken advance

Gethin begins singing loudly, “We can rule the world!” right in Sheryl’s face, and she roughly pushes him away.

"She fell asleep straightaway"

Wendy reports that Greta fell asleep straightaway, and looks like an angel.   

"She's been through a lot with her Mam"

“She’s been through a lot with her Mam,” she says, 

"I don't want to talk about Liv!"

but Tyler makes it clear he does not want to talk about Liv.   She thinks she had better leave, and reveals that she has been staying with Gwyneth, 

"Gwyneth has been very kind"

who has been very kind.   Iolo warns her not to trust Gwyneth, as she can be very nasty;  Tyler remarks that they must get on very well together.

"You shouldn't leave money lying around"

Wendy notices the money pinned to the noticeboard, and tells Tyler, “You shouldn’t leave money lying around – in case someone slips it into their pocket!”   With that, she leaves the house.

Kevin is apparently no good at darts

In the Deri, Kevin is playing a game of darts with Janine, who is apparently thrashing him.   “I thought you’d be in a better mood after sorting all this out,” she tells him, 

Janine feels positive about this

“I feel positive after coming all this way.”   He replies that he will be discussing it further with Anita – the legal matters, and all that.

"All she has to do is transfer the consent"

“All she has to do is transfer the consent to you, isn’t it?   And that is what is going to happen,” Janine continues.   

Kevin suspects it will not be as easy as that

He informs her that he may have to stay here a bit longer – a week or so – and she can go back to Liverpool.   

"What exactly did she say?"

She deduces that he is not on good terms with Anita, and demands to know exactly what she said.

"It will be all right in the end"

“She says that she needs more time to think,” he replies, but promises that everything will be all right in the end.   She wonders if Anita understands how important this is to them, but he insists that they must be patient.

"You're right, Dani – as usual!"

Tyler is having an argument over the phone with Dani;  Iolo concludes that she is telling him off for having his mother there, 

"At least she did not steal the £20"

but points out that at least Wendy did not steal the £20.   “How long is she going to stay with Gwyneth, of all people?” Tyler rages.

Iolo thinks that perhaps it is Dani who is being naïve, maintaining that Wendy cannot change, 

"She is up to something!"

but Tyler agrees with that evaluation, and does not trust her;  he is convinced that she is up to something.

"Don't let Kevin change your mind!"

Kelly tells Anita it is up to her what she does;  “Don’t let Kevin change your mind!”   Siôn thinks that it is not a good idea to dismiss Kevin and Janine.   

"Right, I'm off to the Deri"

Kelly decides to go to the Deri, to give them a chance to talk, 

"Your opinion matters to me, Kelly"

but Anita says that Kelly’s opinion matters to her.   Kelly says what is on her mind;  “I can’t support you giving permission to Kevin – 

"He's a rapist – I think that's why Meic removed his name"

“he’s a rapist – and I think that’s why Meic changed the name on the consent from.   

"But it has to be your decision"

“But obviously it has to be your decision.”

"You'll have to go and talk to her again"

Janine is quite adamant that Kevin needs to go back and talk to Anita;  “We can’t just hang around, waiting for her to think about it – there is no guarantee it will work first time.”   

Kelly arrives . . .

Kelly walks in 

. . . and is introduced to Janine

and Kevin introduces her to Janine, assuming that she has come to check he was telling the truth, but Kelly stresses that she just wants a quiet drink.

Sheryl is disturbed to see Kevin

Then Hywel and Sheryl arrive, and are shocked to see Kevin there;  Hywel wants to take her straight home, 
and addresses Kevin, “I didn’t expect to see your ugly mug round here!”

"Don't talk to Kevin like that!"

Janine warns him not to talk to Kevin like that, but Kevin assures her he can take care of himself.   Sheryl says, “I hope you know his track record!” and Janine then realises who she is. 

"I know all there is to know about Kevin – and you as well!"

“I know all there is to know about Kevin, thanks – and about you as well!”   Now Sheryl thinks it is wise to go home.
