Next morning, Dani is still asleep,

. . . but is awoken by the front door |
but wakes up just after nine, when she hears the door; Gethin brings her a cup of coffee from the café.

She demands why he did not wake her up,

"Look – loads of texts from Garry!" |
then hands her phone to him; “Texts from Garry and loads of missed calls! I was stupid to listen to you – I should have gone home to Carol and Garry last night!” she moans, but Gethin points out that she fell asleep, and she was in no state to go anywhere.

"You don't have to go back" |
“You don’t have to go back,” he says, but she is desperate to see Carol, and has already been there too long.

Iolo is sizing up the plumbing job in the building APD are renovating;

"This tension between Jim and Mathew" |
he is not happy about the tension between Jim and Mathew.

Dai assures him that he will deal with it, and just wants the estimate as soon as possible.

Dani tries to ignore Mathew |
Mathew accosts Dani as she walks towards the Deri, but she tries to ignore him;

Dai calls for attention from him and Jim.

"You left your own baby overnight!" |
Dani says that she can explain, but Garry snarls, “You left your own baby overnight! Where were you?”

"No – I was not with Mathew!" |
She confesses that she fell asleep on Gethin’s sofa, and contrary to Garry’s allegation, was not with Mathew.
In response to her pleading, Garry asks her why he should give her another chance;

"I'm better off without you!" |
“What do you give me, Dan? Nothing but hassle and aggro! I’m better off without you – I mean that, every word.”

"Well, I'm going up to see Carol" |
Dani goes upstairs to see Carol.
“You two have been arguing too much recently – and it has to stop!” exclaims Dai.

Mathew and Jim start arguing again |
Jim insists that Mathew’s mind is all over the place, thinking more of Dani than the plastering.

"You need to concentrate on the job!" |
“Jim is right – you need to concentrate on the job!” Dai tells Mathew,

"Right, Dai, you can stuff your job!" |
who replies that Dai can stuff his job, and walks away.
Dai rants that he cannot walk off in the middle of a job – they have got a deadline, then turns to Jim and shouts, “Look what you’ve done now! You and your big mouth!”

"The boys have been grounded" |
Sara arrives at Penrhewl with Ifan, but is told that the boys have been grounded;

"They have been messing around with the quad bike" |
they have been riding around on the quad bike and now it is not working properly. “Eifion’s in one heck of a mood, as we are in the middle of lambing,” Cadno informs her, “He went ballistic with them!”

Sara leaves again, and tells Cadno she is looking forward to tonight.

Dani goes to Carol, who is looking quite happy;

Garry brings in a suitcase and begins filling it with Dani’s clothes.

"If I go – then it's over!" |
She warns him that if she goes, it is over. He encourages her to go, and not to come back;

Dani escapes with Carol |
She picks up Carol from her cot, takes a couple of bags and leaves the flat.

Outside, Dai reports that Mathew is sulking in the café and will not talk to him.

Dani comes out of the Deri and heads towards Number 7.
Dai instructs Jim to go and apologise to Mathew,

but Jim has no intention of doing that.

Garry bellows Dani's name |
Garry emerges from the Deri and shouts angrily after Dani.
She knocks urgently at the door of number 7, and Tyler lets her in;

"I've left Garry!" |
she urges him to lock the door, explaining that she has left Garry,

He is outside, hammering on the door |
who by this time is hammering on the door, and Tyler goes to confront him.

"Get out of the way!" |
“Get out of the way – I want to talk to Dani!” he roars,

"She doesn't want to talk to you!" |
but is told that Dani does not want to talk to him. “I want my daughter back now!” Garry continues, “I’ve got every right to go in –

“I’m the landlord!”
Tyler responds that he also has rights; “You have to give me warning.

"Is it fair to Carol?" |
“Garry, calm down, and think about Carol. Is it fair that you’re shouting at her mother like this? The best thing is for you to walk away and Danny will be in touch when she’s ready.” He closes the door.
Garry is still shouting outside, “You won’t get away with this – I promise you that!”

Dani tells Carol that she does not have to worry any more.

"Bottle of white wine, please, Garry" |
Cadno, Sheryl and Sara arrive at the Deri for a drink before their night out; they ask Garry for a bottle of wine, and he enquires, “Chardonnay? Pino Grigio?” They reply that it does not matter,

but his response is, “It matters to me – I’m not a clairvoyant!”
Sara advises him to watch his tone,

"You don't want to lose even more customers!" |
or he will lose even more customers, and he demands, “Do you want to be served or not?”

"What's the occasion, ladies?" |
Dai wonders what is the occasion, and they tell him they have not had a night out for ages.

He learns that Diane is babysitting multiple children |
Dai is surprised to hear that Diane is babysitting the boys, and Ifan. He says he is trying to sort out a tapas bar, to which the ladies are looking forward.

"Competition for the Deri – right on your doorstep!" |
Sara comments that it will be competition for Garry. Cadno wonders, “Who put arsenic in his porridge this morning?”

Gethin comes in for a pint, and Garry thanks him for lying last night; he says he will remember that, and Gethin will regret it, one day.

At number 7, Carol and Greta are both asleep; Dani is sorry for dumping herself on them like this, but is is told that she is welcome to stay as long as she wants. “Garry is not going to leave me alone until he gets Carol back, so I’m going to see him tonight,” she says.

Iolo wonders if that is a wise decision.

Tyler will go out to get some chips, and urges her not to go and see Garry.
Garry insists that Dai is better off without Mathew,

but Dai cannot afford to lose a labourer. “I’ve got deadlines to meet!” He is not eager to go home, as he predicts it will be like a crèche.

Gethin engineers a meeting with Sheryl, and says he wants to see her before he goes away to EuroDisney. He maintains that it was Ffion’s idea,

Gethin is pleased to learn from Tyler, outside the chippy, that Dani has left Garry and also thinks it a bad idea that she should go and see him tonight.

Dai has gone round to Y Felin, where he is still working on Mathew; “APD is a small company, and the profit margins are small, so every job is important.

Mathew insists that is Dai’s problem.
“Look, Mathew, you’re a good worker – I don’t want to lose you. I know things have been difficult for you, and I sympathise. I know you see me as this big impatient so-and-so – but I’ve got a sensitive side too. The same thing happen to me years ago –

“This soft soaping will not work, and the sentimental mush doesn’t suit you either,” declares Mathew. “I’m not coming back to work for APD!”

Dai continues, “If you’re worried about Jim, don’t be – I will sort him out – you won’t get any more hassle from him. You’ve got a good job here – don’t throw it away! And you’re learning from the best bloke in the area.”

Mathew replies that if Jim says one word – just one word . . . Dai assures him that he will not say anything.

The girls arrive at the club, and decide to have Jagerbombs; they order six, and Cadno remembers last time she had a hangover for three days.

Dani arrives at the Deri as Garry is cleaning the tables; “We need to talk,” she tells him,

but he replies that he wants Carol back now. “That’s not going to happen!” she announces, “Things are not that easy.”
“So there is nothing more to say,” he concludes.

Dani, however, maintains that she is not going anywhere until they sort this out. “You’ll be waiting a long time!” he promises, and walks away.

“Thursday afternoon. I’ve got a surprise for you.” Cadno wishes she had a pile of designer clothes – all she does is stomp around in the mud.

Sheryl says that she is looking up taxi numbers on her phone, but the others protest they do not want to leave now.

“Don’t worry about that,” Cadno says, “I’ll phone Eifion to collect us!” She decides they will have another round.

Dani warns that Garry will not get Carol; they will just have to share her. “You make her sound like she’s a toy!” he grunts, “This is all your fault, sleeping with Mathew!”

“Remind me, Garry, did you sleep with Sioned?” she asks, and he groans about that being brought up. She goes on, “Forget about us – we’re over! But we have to talk about what’s important – Carol.”

He is quite insistent that there is nothing to talk about, and that Dani is going to bring Carol back to him now.”
She informs him that she will not, and that he can have a few days to think about it; “Tomorrow I will come back and fetch my stuff.” Garry assures her that it will be in bags, waiting for her.

and he is glad to get her inside the house. In the process, Sara drops her bag, and neither of them notice her purse has fallen out. He returns to the 4x4 to take Cadno home;
