"Eat up your breakfast, Bobi"

At Penrhewl, Cadno encourages Bobi to eat up his breakfast; Eifion asks where his breakfast is, and she jokes, “The bacon and eggs are in the fridge, and the bread is in the bread bin.”

Cadno gets Eifion's breakfast

He is relieved to see that she has actually cooked it for him, and she suggests, “When I’ve taken the boys to school, perhaps you and I should have a chat to try and clear the air.”

"Listen to that – silence!"

At breakfast time in Maes-y-Deri, Kath revels in the peace and quiet; “There’s no-one shouting, no-one talking – and no-one has finished the milk before you get up!”

"Admit it – you miss them"

Non asks why she will not admit it – that she misses them, too.

"I don't miss Debbie screeching!"

“Missing Debbie screeching in my ears every morning? I don’t miss that!”

“How about Ricky and Mark?” Non continues, “I think you should try to make amends.” Kath points out that she was not the one who walked out, or the one who lied. Non recommends, “It takes a strong woman to make the first move.”

"How about making amends with DJ?"

Kath changes the subject, and says Non should make amends with DJ,

"I don't have anything to say to him"

but Non is clear she has nothing to say to him. Kath adds, “As it happens, I know that he is still interested in you – you don’t want to miss out because you’re stubborn.”

So this is the Catatonia replacement . . .

Iolo is looking at the replacement for Catatonia,

. . . bought for Kelly by Ed

which Ed has bought for Kelly – Jaws, the goldfish,

"He doesn't do much, does he?"

and remarks, “He doesn’t do much, does he?” She points out that it is not a performing seal, and he asks, “Why not another cat?”

"Hey, that's Dad's scarf"

Then he notices his father’s scarf on the sofa, which he recognises, as he bought it for Siôn.

"I'm going for a meeting with Siôn in the café"

Anita comes downstairs, telling Kelly that she is going to the café, for a meeting with Siôn about the Best Kept Village.

"And I'm working at the café"

Kelly will accompany her, as her shift in the café is due to start.

Another silent phone call

At number 7, the phone rings and Tyler answers it, but no one speaks, although he knows that someone is there.

"Someone is listening but not talking"

He tells Iolo that all the calls are the same – someone is listening but not talking.

"It may be something to do with the attack"

“You were attacked a few weeks ago – perhaps the calls are connected,” Iolo suggests, but Tyler dismisses it as a coincidence, and surmises it may be someone trying to scare Dani.

Garry is at the top of Tyler's list

He suspects Garry, as the calls only started after she moved in.

Siôn should be taking some notes

In the café, Siôn thinks it would be advisable for him to make some notes,

"We could somewhere more private"

but Anita would like to peruse them somewhere a bit more private.

"Something's going on between those two"

Kelly is keeping a careful eye on her, and comments to Diane, “Did you see that just now? I have my suspicions that there’s something going on between those two.”

"No – Anita would have told me"

Diane thinks it is unlikely, as Anita would have told her.

"It's the way they look at each other"

Kelly says that it is the way they look at each other, and they both stare at the couple; “Fact is stranger than fiction,” concludes Kelly,

"Keep an eye on them"

“Have another cup of tea, so you can keep an eye on them.”

There is a truce between Cadno and Eifion

Cadno returns from school, admits she has been unfair and is sorry; Eifion replies that he has not been much better. “We’ve been threatening each other as if we were still children,” he says, and they agree to forget all about it.

They ought to spend more quality time together, and Cadno has the idea, “We have a delivery for the Deri later –

"Is that your idea of 'Quality Time'?"

“why don’t you come with me and we’ll have lunch together? It’s quicker with the two of us – think of that pie and pint.”

"A very successful meeting, Mrs Pierce"

Siôn and Anita emerge from the café, remarking that it has been a very successful meeting; Kelly and Diane are spying on them.

They are being watched . . .

Siôn says they could go for a walk around the village to see what needs tidying up.

. . . and as they head for the alley . . .

As they head down the alley,

. . . Kelly and Diane are following

Diane and Kelly follow them.

They get the evidence they are seeking

As they peer around the corner, they witness the couple kissing by one of the back gates,

"They're making a meal of each other!"

and Diane comments that they are making a meal of each other. “Think about it – they think they’ve pulled the wool over our eyes, but we know their secret.

"We can wind them up for a few weeks!"

“We could wind them up for a few weeks. If you tell them that we know, they’ll be canoodling on the sofa while you’re eating your dinner!”

Kelly does not like the sound of that

Kelly finds this prospect rather distasteful and admits that perhaps Diane is right.

Hello – Liv is back in town

As they return to the café, a familiar figure is lurking in the alley.

"I've put in a good word for you"

When DJ comes into the Deri, Kath advise him that she has put in a good word for him, but he tells her not to interfere.

"This one and Non fancy each other"

Then she tells Sara that he and Non fancy each other, but are too stubborn to admit it.

Sara says he should not miss out on a chance because he feels a bit awkward;

"Go and talk to her, DJ"

“Go and talk to her, apologise for having a go at her in public, and then ask her out. You liked her until you found out it was a joke, and Kath says Non likes you too.”

"What are you cooking up, ladies?"

Further along the bar, Kath wants to know what Diane and Kelly are cooking up. Diane decides to tell her;

"Not a word to anyone!"

“Not a word to anyone!” she begins, “Siôn White’s found a new woman –

"Yeah – so what?"

“not just any woman – Anita!”

"They think no-one has sussed out their secret"

Kelly adds that they think no-one has sussed out their dirty little secret, and they intend to have some fun.

"Anita? John White? I've heard it all now!"

“Anita? John White?” says Kath, incredulously, “I’ve heard it all now!”

Live arrives outside number 7

Liv walks to the front door of number 7, but turns to go just as Iolo comes round the corner.

"Obviously I'm not welcome"

“I decided to come and see you both,” she says, in her not-quite-with-it drawl, “I just wanted to say hello – but obviously I’m not welcome.”

"Tyler and Greta should be home"

Iolo invites her in, as Tyler and Greta should be there.

Performing detailed surveillance

In the Deri, Siôn and Anita go and sit down, carefully watched by Kath, Diane and Kelly, who then go over and join them.

"I think I should be looking for a man"

“I wanted a word with you, Anita,” Kath begins, “I’ve been thinking I should start going out to look for a man; I’ve been reading in the paper about this speed dating thing, but I’ve got a problem because I’m too shy to go on my own.”

"You – shy? Pull the other one!"

Siôn is rather sceptical about this claim, but Kath soldiers on, “I thought, as you’re single too, maybe you would like to keep me company.”

"No – I don't think so"

Anita does not think this is a good idea,

"Go for it, Auntie Neet!"

but Kelly encourages her go for it, and Diane emphasises that it is time she found some company.

"Everyone needs company"

Siôn agrees that everyone needs company,

"Right, speed dating it is, then!"

and Kath concludes that speed dating it is.

"I'm not here to cause trouble"

At number 7, Non asks if Greta is all right, and Iolo wonders why she wants to know. “I’m not here to cause trouble,” she says,

"Why are you here, Liv?"

and Tyler demands why is she is here. Liv is defensive; “Why are you so suspicious?

"I wanted to check you're OK – after the accident"

“I only wanted to check you’re OK – after the accident.”

Tyler wonders how she knew about that, and she says she read about in the paper,

"Buses from town cost money"

but buses from town cost money, and she does not have money every day.

DJ brings Non a peace offering

DJ goes to Maes-y-Deri, and brings Non a present;

"I'm sorry for making such a fool of you"

“I’m sorry for making such a fool of you in the Deri in front of everyone,” he says, “If I’d taken the time to think it through, I would have realised you’d never ask me to send such photos. I know you’re not that type of woman.”

"I'd like you to go now, please"

Non is feeling rather uneasy, and says that he should leave now, as she is feeling tired. He turns to go,

"If you fancy going out for a drink some time"

but suggests that if she fancies going out for a drink some time, she only has to ask.

"Let's hope we don't both go for the same type"

Kath is still putting her plan into action; “Lets hope that we don’t both go for the same type – we don’t want start arguments in this speed dating.”

"Ooh, there's something about Garry Monk"

Kelly enquires which one out of Hywel, Garry or Eifion each of them would snog. Kath considers that there is something about Garry Monk, but Kelly exclaims, “Disgusting – you don’t know where he’s been!”

"Right, I shall have to go"

Then she asks Auntie Anita the same question; Siôn thinks that it is about time he left, but Kelly is insistent.

"If I had to choose, it would be Eifion"

Put on the spot, Anita answers, “If I had to choose, it would be Eifion.” Kath points out that she would get her lungs filled with the stench of manure.

"Why are they talking about me?"

Over at the bar, Eifion wonders why mention of his name is causing such hilarity.

Kath says that she has to go to work; the other two also go back to the bar,

"Don't tell me you're jealous?"

as Siôn admits he is surprised by Anita’s choice. “Don’t tell me you’re jealous?” she smiles.

"Why were they laughing about me?"

When Eifion asks Diane why they were laughing about his name, she replies that Anita wants to snog him.

"We should go, before she wants to strip you!"

Cadno decides they had better leave before Anita wants to strip him.

Cadno has left her wallet behind

Then Diane notices that Cadno has left her wallet on the bar, and shouts after her, but is too late.

"Hitting your head can be dangerous"

“Hitting your head can be dangerous,” Liv says,

"You should have got in touch"

“This is serious,” but Tyler insists that he is all right. Iolo admits that it did look bad for a while. “You should have got in touch,” she wails, but they do not know how to contact her. She, on the other hand, knows where they live and their phone number.

"Have you been making silent phone calls?"

“Hang on – have you been making on silent phone calls?” asks Tyler, and she admits that she just wanted to hear his voice and to know he was OK.

Liv knows a lot about the location of the attack

She wonders what she was supposed to say; “That I was worried after the attack at the back of the High Street?”

"How did you know it was there?"

He demands how she knew it occurred there, as that was not specified in the paper, but suddenly she is in a terrific hurry to leave, saying that she will miss the bus.

He chases her down the street

Tyler rushes out after her,

"Leave me alone!"

and she snarls, “Leave me alone,” before walking off round the corner.

"Liv attacked me!"

He tells Iolo he is convinced that it was Liv who attacked him.

"Why would Anita want to snog me?"

Cadno and Eifion have arrived home; Eifion still cannot understand why Anita would want to snog him.

Harmony has now been restored

Cadno laughs that they should quarrel more often.

Diane brings the wallet back, and overhears

Meanwhile, Diane comes in, through the door which had been left open, and hears Cadno saying, “You know I would never have phoned the police, don’t you?”

This is followed by Eifion’s voice assuring her that he would never report her for helping Linda.
