Garry is feeling the effects of the whisky
Garry is already over halfway down the whisky bottle when Gethin calls on him, bringing some paperwork which needs signing;
"Unless you want the garage to go under"
“It can’t wait – unless you want the garage to go under,” he tells Garry.   Seeing the half-empty bottle, Gethin goes on, “I suppose this is to do with Dani wanting a divorce.”
"She thinks she wants a divorce"
Garry replies that she does not want a divorce – she does not know what she wants;  “She thinks she wants a divorce, but I’m not letting Dani make the biggest mistake of her life!”
"You don't make Dani happy any more"
Gethin tells him that the marriage is over, and he does not make Dani happy any more;  “There’s no point staying with someone who doesn’t make you happy,” he says.
"Get lost, Gethin!"
Garry has signed the papers, and tells him to get lost.
"I am a bit stressed"
Ed is helping out in the café, while Debbie settles in upstairs;  Kelly brings Megan her sandwich, and admits she is rather stressed.
"How is Cat . . . Llewelyn behaving?"
“Tell me, how is Cat . . . Llewelyn behaving?”   Megan replies that he seems glad to be home,
"It's lovely to have him around the place again'
and it is lovely to have him around the place again.
Kelly feels sorry for Megan
Kelly resumes her place behind the counter, and feels sorry for Megan.
They have finished the job on time
APD have just finished the job on the tapas bar around the corner from the Deri, and are taking away their tools and equipment;  Dai is very glad that they finished the job on time, but moans,
"After the taxman takes his cut!"
“The profit is only a few hundred, after the taxman takes his cut!”
He tells Mathew to come to the Deri later for a drink,
"I'm not welcome at the Deri"
but Mathew reminds him that he is not welcome there;  Dai says he will deal with Garry.   Then Anita happens to be passing,
"Let me have a look inside, Dai!"
and wants to see inside the building, as she has heard a lot about it, but Dai cannot permit that.
"No way, José!"
“You’ll have to wait, like everyone else!   No way, José!”
"I'm busy – wedding to arrange!"
Sheryl is not pleased to see Gethin come into the salon, and says that she is busy;  “In case you’ve forgotten, I’ve got a wedding to arrange!” she emphasises,
"You might as well accept it"
“I’m marrying Hywel, so you might as well accept it!”
"There's a garage full of cars over there!"
Garry walks in and demands what Gethin is doing there;  “There’s a garage full of cars over there!”
"I can remember two o'clock"
Sheryl tells Gethin that she can give him a trim at 2:00pm on Saturday, and he goes.
"I don't want Dani coming back here to work"
Garry snarls, “I want a word about Dani – I don’t want her coming back here to work!”
Sheryl points out that it is none of his business;
"You won't be bullying her like you bullied me!"
“Listen, you won’t be bullying Dani like you bullied me, understand?   You can scream and shout as much as you want, but until she says otherwise, Dani can come back here.
"Close the door on your way out!"
“There’s the door – close it on your way out!”
Frozen cottage pie for Megan's dinner
Megan is buying a pouch of catfood and a frozen cottage pie in the shop;
"It's less bother than cooking for one"
she tells Kelly that it is much less bother than cooking for one.
"Come for dinner with us"
On the spur of the moment, Kelly invites her to dinner tonight.   “Ed and I always cook too much, and chuck some away.
"You're not allowed to refuse"
“You’re not allowed to refuse – and Llewelyn can have all the tomcats over for a party!”   Megan is looking forward to it.
Sheryl makes the hotel booking
Sheryl advises Hywel that the hotel she had chosen is free,
"What's wrong with the Deri?"
but he wonders what is wrong with the Deri.
"We have to make it special"
“Come on, Hywel, we have to make it special, and I’ve checked to make sure Bethania is available.   Are you sure you’re happy about getting married in a chapel?”
"I would marry you in a pigsty!"
He replies that he would marry her in a pigsty, but just wants her to have a day to remember.
They celebrate a job well done . . .
In the Deri, the three builders celebrate finishing the job;
. . . and Mathew is grateful for the work
Mathew appreciates being given the job, and Dai regrets that they do not have enough work to keep him on.   Meanwhile, in the background, Garry is sitting at the bar, drinking.
"They call it old age!"
“If another big job comes up, your name will be at the top of the list,” Dai assures him, then has to visit the Gent’s, again.   “They call it old age – it will be with you soon!” he tells Jim.
"If you want a chaser, Dai's paying!"
Mathew is asked if he wants a chaser, but declines the offer, as he does not want to throw up on Siôn’s carpet.
“If the carpet’s as grey as the rest of him, it needs a bit of colour!” sneers Jim.
Garry keeps looking at Mathew
Garry looks at Mathew from the bar with an expression of hopelessness, and resorts to another whisky.
Mathew wants to go to see Eifion and Cadno
Mathew phones Eifion, and would like to have a word with him and Cadno this afternoon;  “I’ve got something to tell you, that’s all.”
"Are you feeding the five thousand?"
Kelly returns home with a large amount of shopping;  “Are you feeding the five thousand?” Anita enquires.
"Someone's coming to dinner"
Kelly reveals that although it is last minute, someone is coming to dinner,
"Oh, I'm very busy tonight!"
but Anita protests that she is very busy tonight, and is surprised when she hears that their guest is Megan.
“She’s lonely, and I feel sorry for her,” says Kelly, “And I feel guilty for arguing over the cat.   Why are you so busy, then?”   Anita replies that she has brought home the Awyr Iach accounts, to sort them out.
"I'll help with the vegetables"
Ed will help with preparing the vegetables for the Bolognese.
"What kind of man drinks shandy?"
Mathew returns to the bar and asks for a shandy;  at the end of the bar an inebriated Garry mumbles, “What kind of man drinks shandy?”
"I don't care about anything any more!"
Gethin points out that he is upsetting the punters, and should go upstairs, but he replies, “I don’t care about customers – I don’t care about anything any more!” but does make his unsteady way up to the flat.
Gethin tells Mathew that Garry has had some bad news;
"Dani's asked him for a divorce"
“Dani’s fine, but she’s asked him for a divorce.”
Suddenly Mathew is in a hurry to leave
Mathew suddenly looks guilty, cancels his shandy and has to go.
"Youngsters these days don't have the stamina!"
Dai laments that youngsters these days do not have the stamina.
"I'd think you had a crush on Siôn White"
Kelly complains, “If you weren’t so obsessed with this Best Kept Village thing, you wouldn’t have to bring work home.   If I didn’t know better, I would think you had a crush on Siôn White.”
"Why would you think that?"
Anita wonders why she said that, and is told, “You looked very cosy in the café last week.”
"Sorry Megan – can't get the staff!"
Megan arrives and Kelly apologises, “The meal isn’t quite ready yet – can’t get the staff!”
"So this is Jaws, then"
Megan meets Jaws, and has bought him a present for his fish tank;
She receives a hug from Kelly
Kelly hugs her.
Hywel and Sheryl come into the Deri, and stand next to Gethin at the bar;
It is publicised that the wedding date has been fixed
Sheryl emphasises, for the sake of Gethin, that they have fixed the date for the wedding.   “The whole of Cwmderi is invited –
"I want everyone to see how much I love you"
“I want everyone to see how much I love you, and how happy I am.”   Gethin is well aware that their kiss is for his benefit.
Dani sits at number 7. . .
Dani is sorting through baby clothes at number 7 when Mathew pays her a visit;
. . . then Mathew arrives, with his small amount of luggage
he is carrying one bag and a rucksack.
"I heard about the divorce"
“I heard about the divorce,” he says,
"I'm not interested, Mathew"
and she hopes he is not looking for another chance, because she is not interested.
He acknowledges that there is no future for them, and has accepted that;  “But I have every right to be concerned about you as a friend, so are you OK?”   She does not know the answer to that, and he says he realises that a lot of this is down to him.
"We're both to blame"
She insists that they are both to blame.
Ed will do the washing-up
Megan has enjoyed her meal at number 10, and Ed will do the washing-up.   Anita seems to be in another world,
"You're like a lovestruck teenager!"
and Kelly comments, “I’m seriously worried about you – you’re like a lovestruck teenager!”
"This Best Kept Village must be keeping you busy"
Megan explains that Anita is busy with this Best Kept Village, and Kelly points out that she and Siôn obviously need help;
"People would give up their time, wouldn't they, Megan?"
“I’m sure that people would give up their time, wouldn’t they, Megan?   See, you have one volunteer already!”
"I'm moving to Cardiff to start again"
Mathew says, “Listen, I didn’t just come over to check you were OK, I finished with APD today, and there’s nothing left for me in Cwmderi now.   I’ve decided to move away – I’m going to Cardiff to start again.”
"You're not going because of me?"
Dani hopes that he is not going because of her, and he insists that he is doing it for himself;  “I don’t want to waste any more time chasing something I won’t get.
"I'm about to call a taxi"
“I’m about to call a taxi, before I change my mind.”
Garry finishes off the whisky . . .
In the Deri flat, Garry, pours the last of the whisky from the bottle and swigs it down,
. . . and looks determined to do something
this time refraining from smashing the glass.
Sheryl is putting away the champagne
Hywel and Sheryl are drinking champagne in the Deri;  he remarks that it is not every day that Esther has a sleepover, and goes to the bar for another bottle.
"I know what you're trying to do"
Gethin sidles across and tells Sheryl he knows what she is trying to do;  “You’re trying to pretend everything is all right – organising a wedding and flirting.”
She stresses that everything is all right;  “In fact, they’ve never been better!”
"Do you expect me to believe that?"
He mutters, “Do you expect me to believe that – when you’re still sleeping with me?”
Garry is on his way out of the Deri
Garry staggers unsteadily across the bar,
"Dont you upset my sister again!"
and Gethin warns him not to upset his sister again.
A taxi arrives
A taxi arrives in the village just as Megan is leaving number 10;
"Any time you fancy a bit of company . . ."
she thanks Kelly for the meal, and is told that any time she fancies bit of company, she only has to knock.
His meagre belongings loaded into the taxi . . .
Then they see Mathew, loading his two bags into the taxi.
. . . he says he will never forget Dani . . .
Dani cannot believe that he is going, he tells her that he will never forget her.
. . . but look who catches them
Of course, she gives him a hug just as Garry emerges from the Deri.
He shouts at Dani
He shouts and hurries towards them, followed by Gethin.
"Now I know why you want a divorce!"
“At least I know why you want a divorce!   You’re going with him!”
"Go home, Garry!"
She tells him to go home.
"You're not taking Carol with you – do you hear?"
“You’re not taking Carol with you – do you hear me?   He’s not her father!” he shouts, and
"Carol and I aren't going anywhere"
Dani replies that she and Carol are not going anywhere, but she is saying goodbye to Mathew.   As Garry continues his drunken rant,
They have gather quite an audience for the action
the locals are watching the spectacle,

Mathew gets into the taxi
and Matthew walks to the taxi,
"That's it – go away!"
with Garry snarling, “That’s it – go away!”
"I'm sorry, Dani!"
Then he turns to Dani and says that he is sorry, but she simply replies, “Go home – you’re drunk!   I don’t want to hear it –
"It's over – you're making a fool of yourself!"
“it’s over – you’re making a fool of yourself!”
She slams the door in his face . . .
and she goes back inside number 7.
. .  and he crumples to the ground
He collapses to the pavement in tears.
