At breakfast time . . . |
![]() |
. . . Hannah cannot get to the shower . . . |
![]() |
. . . then orange juice is spilt on her homework |
“Hey, nice one, Colin!” says Britt, but he protests that he did not do it on purpose;
“She won’t be able to stick much more of this!” she chortles.
![]() |
"She won't be able to stick much of this!" |
![]() |
"Curry or Chinese tonight?" |
![]() |
Gaynor's eagle eye spots a spider's web |
![]() |
She intends to phone Kath |
![]() |
"I'll talk to her at the surgery" |
![]() |
"I expect there's no room to turn round" |
![]() |
"But it was your decision to move in there" |
![]() |
"Could I use the shower?" |
Hannah explains there is always a queue for the bathroom,
and Diane goes on, “I think you’ve forgotten something – you don’t live here any more. You can’t just turn up and have a shower when you want – I’m not running a hotel! If you want a shower, all you have to do is move back here to live.”
![]() |
"You don't live here any more!" |
![]() |
"I can't leave Chester – we're engaged!" |
![]() |
"He only said that to annoy Britt and me!" |
![]() |
"Milk must last for ages now" |
![]() |
"What business is that of yours?" |
“He’s got a new kidney, not new legs!” snaps Kath,
“You should sort out your own family before poking your nose into mine!”
![]() |
"You should sort your own family out!" |
Then Gaynor comes into the shop, wanting to have a word with Kath about the cleaning;
“I realise you’re a very busy woman, but I am paying you – perhaps you could be a bit more thorough next time!”
![]() |
"I am paying you, Kath" |
![]() |
"I don't work for you any more!" |
![]() |
"Your boyfriend didn't say why" |
![]() |
"We're going out" |
![]() |
"We're going shopping!" |
They invite Dani and Carol to come with them,
but she intends to go and see Garry, to sort out everything that has happened recently.
“When we get dressed, we’re going to see Dadi, aren’t we?”
![]() |
"No, I'm going to see Garry" |
![]() |
"We're going to see Dadi, aren't we?" |
![]() |
Garry is busy, cleaning in the Deri |
![]() |
"There's no point sulking upstairs" |
![]() |
"I want to win Dani back!" |
Britt finds this disappointing,
and explains that everything is over between them. He wonders why she has to be so negative; “She’s the mother of my child – it will never be over between us –
“where there’s a child, there’s hope.”
![]() |
"It's all over between you, Gar" |
![]() |
"Where there's a child, there's hope" |
![]() |
There must be a bus due |
![]() |
Elgan explains to Gaynor |
![]() |
"The last thing I want is another scandal" |
![]() |
"I'm going to give her a piece of my mind!" |
![]() |
Garry welcomes Dani and Carol |
![]() |
"Are you going to stay with Dadi?" |
![]() |
"I'll pick her up in a couple of hours" |
![]() |
"Oh, isn't she lovely?" |
![]() |
"Fancy Liv doing such a thing!" |
![]() |
"She killed Linda!" |
![]() |
"What was that all about?" |
![]() |
When they see Diane approaching . . . |
![]() |
. . . they pass by on the other side |
![]() |
"We should start playing games as well!" |
![]() |
"If she'd killed my friend . . ." |
![]() |
"I hope you're proud of yourself!" |
![]() |
"Linda deserves justice!" |
Eifion spells it out, “Linda wanted to die, and Cadno was there for her, that’s all.” Diane urges Kath to be quiet, as she is only making things worse, and wants to go,
but Kath refuses to be bullied by the likes of him.
![]() |
"I'm not being bullied by the likes of him!" |
![]() |
Garry comes to the end of his story |
![]() |
"I love spending time with her" |
![]() |
"I'm going back to work, part-time" |
![]() |
"No – a job that pays wages" |
![]() |
And she wants to find a place to live |
![]() |
"So come home, then!" |
![]() |
"I won't move far away" |
![]() |
But she is not coming back to the Deri |
![]() |
Garry's hopes have come to nothing |
![]() |
"You must be relieved, Elgan" |
Then Diane and Kath come in;
Gaynor tells Kath, “Shame on you for doing such a thing! I hope you kept your nose out of my private things in the house.”
![]() |
Gaynor gives Kath a dressing down |
Kath wonders if she has something to hide;
Gaynor continues, “Unlike you, I’m honest and I know the difference between what’s right and what’s unforgivable! Just be grateful that no one phoned the police.”
![]() |
"Be grateful that no-one phoned the police!" |
![]() |
Colin has been summoned to the Deri |
![]() |
Chester rings the bell for attention |
![]() |
"Someone's going to be a great grandmother!" |
“You’ve probably all heard that Hannah and I are engaged,” he goes on, “Well, sort of – as you know, a ring drawn in felt tip pen means nothing! So, I wanted to make it official.”
He produces a real ring from his pocket, and says, “Hannah Francis, once again, will you marry me?” Although she maintains that this is embarrassing, she agrees that she will, and he slips the ring on her finger.
![]() |
Chester uses a real ring this time |
![]() |
"In his school uniform as well!" |
![]() |
"Your master plan worked like a dream, didn't it?" |
![]() |
"Look, the bloke who attacked you!" |
![]() |
"I thought that was your sister" |
![]() |
"Now Tyler remembers it all!" |
![]() |
"I'm sorry, all right?" |
![]() |
"I won't forget this, Eifion!" |
![]() |
Garry hammers on the door . . . |
![]() |
. . . as Iolo and Tyler come into view |
![]() |
"I have nothing to say to you, Garry!" |
![]() |
"I love you, Dani" |
![]() |
"I love you – but I cannot be with you!" |
![]() |
"I've talked to my solicitor" |
![]() |
A divorce reduces Garry to tears |
![]() |
'The three of us have to move on" |
![]() |
Iolo and Tyler return |
![]() |
"It was worth it to see their faces!" |
He insists that he has not gone into any more debt;
“I stole it – or borrowed – it’s one of Mam’s old rings. I just haven’t asked yet.”
Hannah says they will have to give the wedding serious thought now, and Chester cannot wait for her to be Mrs Monk.
![]() |
"You didn't steal it?" |
![]() |
"We must give the wedding serious thought" |
![]() |
Garry gets the whisky . . . |
