John Post is given his pint . . .

Garry tells Sioned that it is nice to see a happy face behind the bar, and she replies that she is trying to hide the stress of working with him.

. . . but there are no cheese and onion crisps

She complains that there are no cheese and onion crisps in the cellar, so she will go to the shop to get some.

"Try to cope without me"

“Try to cope without me, will you?”

Tyler comes home to number 7

At number 7, Dani is delighted to welcome Tyler back home; he has not heard any news from the police, except that they have interviewed Eifion, Garry and Gethin.

"Why Gethin?"

Dani wonders why Gethin; “We argued, so the police think that gives him a motive,” he replies, but she does not believe he would do anything like this.

"Garry is the most likely!"

“Out of the three, Garry is the most likely!” she decides, “To get back at me – when I left the Deri, you wouldn’t let him into the house.”

"Shouldn't we tell them about that Steve?"

Iolo thinks they should tell the police about Steve, as he might be trying to get to Liv.

Tyler’s reply is that they could suspect everyone else in the village; “I’m so annoyed I can’t remember anything – maybe I shall never know!

"They could come back to finish the job1'

“They’re still out there, and could come back to finish the job!”

A very nice salad for lunch . . .

Anita is enjoying her salad for lunch, until she finds a cat hair on the plate.

. . . until Anita discovers the cat hair

“I’ve gone off my lunch now, because of that damned cat!” she snarls at Kelly,

"Moulting is perfectly natural"

who points out that the cat cannot help losing its fur, as it is perfectly natural.

"It's not natural for me to eat cat fur!"

“Well, it’s not natural for me to eat cat fur!” exclaims Anita, “You have to do something about it – you can give him to someone else!”

Kelly is outraged; “How could you?

"If Catatonia goes, I'm going too!"

“I’ve told you, right, if Catatonia goes, I’m going too!” There is someone at the door, and Kelly lets in Siôn;

"I'm returning your phone charger"

he says he has come to bring back Anita’s phone charger, which she did not know he had. They make small talk

"You were so rude about Catatonia!"

until Kelly puts on her coat and leaves for work, but not before complaining about Anita’s rudeness towards Catatonia.

Then they get down to it

It quickly becomes blatantly obvious that Siôn has an ulterior motive for his visit.

Sioned has obtained a case of crisps

Sioned has obtained a box of crisps from the shop,

"I bet Garry can't believe his luck"

and Eileen comments, “I bet Garry can’t believe his luck, getting to use you as his slave.”

"I'm more or less in charge"

Sioned maintains that she is more more or less in charge at the Deri. “That’s what he wants you to believe – are you enjoying being with him? You like Garry, don’t you? You can’t stay away – that’s why you took the job – I’m sure Dani’s not very pleased.”

"Garry's and Dani's relationship is over"

Sioned answers that their relationship is over;

"Yes, thanks to you!"

“Yes, thanks to you!” says Eileen, “I don’t understand why you still want him – have you forgotten how much he hurt you when you lost the baby?”

"That's because he was still with Dani"

Sioned is quite adamant that the only reason he behaved like that was because he was still with Dani – but he is not now.

Eileen sighs, “You love creating a drama and making life difficult – you must do, or you wouldn’t keep doing it!

"You've always been selfish!"

“You’ve always been selfish – and some things never change!”

“What exactly does my personal life have to do with you?” demands Sioned, “Just keep your opinion to yourself – I don’t want to hear it!”

"How about some almost out-of-date brownies?"

Ed comes into the café and is offered some cut-price brownies, which are almost out of date;

"I just came here to see you – and get a coffee!"

he simply came in to see Kelly, and asks for a coffee. Then Tyler arrives, with Iolo and Greta,

Eifion is getting nervous

which causes some concern to Eifion, who is sitting with Mathew, who asks if the police know who did it.

"They spoke to a lot of people"

“They questioned me, but they spoke to a lot of people in Cwmderi,” says Eifion, “Look, I know we argued, but I would never . . .”

"He's still out there somewhere"

Tyler hates to think that his attacker is still out there.

"Why not take Tyler round there again?"

Dani is sitting with Iolo and suggests that he should take Tyler behind APD, to see if it triggers any memories.

"Garry got a 'friend' to do it for him!"

She still has suspicions that it was Garry; “I didn’t think he would give Sioned a job, but he did – there is no telling what is going on in his head. Oh no, he didn’t do it himself – he got a ‘friend’ to do it for him!

"I have to go somewhere"

“Will you watch Carol for me? I have to go somewhere– won’t be long.”

Siôn has hatched a cunning plan

At number 10, Siôn has had an idea how they can see each other more often;

"We won't get any peace at Y Felin"

“Ed is likely to be back and forth at Y Felin all the time, we won’t get any peace there,” he points out, “We shall have to hide and tell lies – that is, if you still want to keep it quiet?”

"We don't want people poking their noses in!"

Anita maintains they do not want people poking their noses in and spoiling everything, and that is why Siôn thought of this idea.

"A Tidiest Village competition!"

“A Tidiest Village competition – you and I would be in charge of it, so we could spend time together without anyone wondering why we were spending time together.”

"When is the first meeting?"

She seems to welcome this idea and asks when the first meeting will take place.

Garry removes tomato sauce from Sioned . . .

Garry notices that Sioned has tomato sauce on her top, and painstakingly removes it,

. . . just as Dani comes in, wanting a word

just at the moment that Dani comes into the Deri. She demands, “Garry – a word – now!”

"Did you attack Tyler?"

Without any prevarication, she asks him, “Did you attack Tyler? I want to know one way or the other – was it you?”

"Why would I want to do that?"

He asks why he would want to attack Tyler, and she goes on, “Because he stood up to you, and you didn’t like it –

"Did you teach him a lesson?"

“so did you want to teach him a lesson?”

"You got some lowlife to do it!"

He accuses her of losing the plot, and reminds her that he was here in the pub when it happened. “You wouldn’t have done it yourself – you got some lowlife to do it! How much did you pay?”

"Don't make unfounded accusations"

Gary regards this accusation with amusement, and again stresses that he had nothing to do with it. He warns her not to make unfounded accusations.

“You did this to get at me – to wind me up! Well, congratulations – you’ve succeeded!” she rages. He replies that she is making a fool of herself and should go home.

"Home – I don't have one of those – remember?"

“Home,” she insists, “I don’t have one of those – don’t you remember? You made damn sure of that!” She storms out of the Deri.

"She wound you up!"

Sioned comments that Dani wound him up, and he agrees that she has a talent for doing that.

DJ listens to Siôn's proposal

Siôn explains his idea to DJ in the Deri, and receives some support;
Anita is of the opinion that it would bring the community closer together, and might bring people to Cwmderi.

"We don't need to form a committee"

Siôn explains, “I don’t think we need to form a committee – Anita’s offered her services –

"Are you sure it's not too much trouble?"

“are you sure it’s not too much trouble?” She replies that she is happy to help,

"I might even enjoy it!"

and may even enjoy it.

"You'll want leaflets or posters"

DJ recommends that the best thing to do would be to hand out leaflets or posters; “Yes, we could go to Y Felin and designed the leaflets there,” Siôn says, enthusiastically, “Anita, do you happen to be free now? Let’s strike while the iron is hot!”

"What do you want?"

Eileen comes in and Sioned demands what she wants;

"Garry is using you to hurt Dani!"

“Garry is only using you to hurt Dani,” Eileen begins, “I know his type, but if you won’t listen, on your own head be it. I’ll have a large white wine please.”

"You don't usually drink during the day"

Sioned remarks that her mother does not usually drink during the day;

"You've given me the reason to do it"

“Perhaps you’ve given me a reason,” is the reply.

Iolo and Tyler want Dani to look after Greta for a while.

"You've done what, Dani?"

She admits that she has done something stupid, accusing Garry of attacking Tyler. “I was angry, so I lashed out!

"He'll never want me back now"

“I’ve messed up – he will never want me back now!”

"You must go and explain to him"

Iolo advises that she has to go over there now and explain to him, tell him that she has thought it through, as she does not want to have regrets.

Siôn appears to be insatiable

Siôn and Anita have arrived at Y Felin, and are kissing, but she stops him and asks if they are going to make the leaflets.

"Stuff the leaflets!"

His response is, “Stuff the leaflets!”

He cannot wait to get upstairs

and they hurry upstairs.

Sioned serves Mal with his drink

Garry tells Sioned that she can have a break,

"What if I don't want to listen to the boss?"

but she points out that it is still busy. “What if I don’t want to listen to the boss?” she enquires, and he warns that she could land herself in a lot of trouble.

She kisses him in front of all the customers . . .

“I like trouble!” she smiles, then kisses him.

. . . including DJ . . .

This is witnessed by DJ and Eileen, amongst others

. . . and Dani

and also Dani, who has just arrived in order to apologise to Garry.

She is devastated . . .

Instead she turns and walks out into the street,

. . . and goes out into the street

where she looks extremely troubled.

Mathew is outside by the skip, and asks her what has happened, and what Garry has said; “This is nothing to do with you!” she replies,

"He's done much worse than saying something!"

“He’s done much worse than saying something!” She pushes him away and walks off up the street.

Siôn gets down to basics . . .

At Y Felin, Siôn and Anita have wasted no time in getting into bed, but she can hear a noise, which he explains away as being the central heating pipes.

. . . but Anita can hear someone

“I can hear voices,” she says, “Ed and Kelly.” Siôn reassures her that no-one will come in here. “But what if they hear us?” she demands, “How are we going to explain being caught like this?”
