Colin is glad that Britt is back
Britt has just arrived back from Newcastle, and is greeted by Colin;  he says that he has just about survived looking after the children.
"Where's the rose,then?"
Britt asks where the rose is that she sent him;  “Hasn’t it arrived?”
Colin looks horrified,
"It did arrive . . . but . . ."
and is forced to admit that it did arrive, but he put it in the bin;
"I thought it was from Non"
“I didn’t realise it was you who sent it!   There was no name on the card or anything – I thought it came from Non!   I think she’s got a crush on me.”
"You're rather old for her!"
Britt angrily points out that he is rather old for Non, but he goes on, “She’s been buying me things – chocolates, and a cashmere scarf – so when I saw the rose I immediately thought . . .”
Britt is offended
Britt is seriously offended.
"Croissants with chocolate in them?"
Gwyneth comes to the shop for croissants with chocolate in them;
"I'm giving Sioned a breakfast fir for a king!"
“I’m going to make Sioned a breakfast fit for a king!” she exclaims.
Dani asks what Sioned has done to deserve that;
"For sticking her tongue down my husband's throat?"

“Stuck her tongue down my husband’s throat?   Haven’t you heard?   Half of Cwmderi was watching them!”

"You're making it up!"
Gwyneth is sceptical about this, but Dani snarls, “Does it look as if I’m pulling your leg?”
"No, I saw it too!"
Eileen confirms what she says.
As Gwyneth storms out of the shop,
"Sioned's not getting a special breakfast after all!"
Dani remarks, “It doesn’t look as if Sioned will get the special breakfast after all!”
"If you want to be with him, go!"
Gwyneth returns immediately to the flat and demands, “What are you doing here, Sioned?   If you want to be with him, go!   Stop playing games with me!   You kissed Garry in front of everyone!”
"It was nothing like that!"
Of course, Sioned insists that it was nothing like that,
"Off you go – pack your bags!"
but Gwyneth tells her, “Dani and your mother took great pleasure in telling me in the shop.   Off you go – pack your bags!”
"He only did it to hurt Dani"
Sioned maintains that she does not understand, and that it was Garry who kissed her.   “Then I found out he only did it to hurt Dani.   There was nothing more to it.”   She seems to have almost persuaded Gwyneth, who demands that she must show Garry he cannot use her like that – she will have to resign.
"No-one around here wants me!"
“I would – but I don’t have any choice – no-one else will employ me,” Sioned whines, “Not even my mother – the fact is, no-one around here wants me.”
"You don't have to put up with nonsense like that!"
Gwyneth is still adamant that she does not have to put up with nonsense like that.
Non is doing a jigsaw puzzle . . .
Non is doing a jigsaw puzzle when Britt arrives at Maes-y-Deri,
. . . when Britt arrives to see her
and remarks, “I have an old aunt who loves jigsaws – they’re not only for old people, mind you.   Youngsters enjoy doing them too.”
"I'm glad Mark can keep me company"
Non says that she is recovering from the operation, and is glad to have Mark to keep her company.
"And Colin keeps you company"
“Colin keeps you company sometimes as well,” Britt continues, and is told that he has been wonderful;  she does not know what she would have done without him these last few weeks.
"Nothing is going to happen, right?"
“I think you might be a bit confused about Colin – I can see you have feelings for him – but I’m just letting you know, nothing is going to happen, OK?”
"Colin's just a friend"
Non says that she has misunderstood, and that Colin is simply a friend;  “Well, he thinks you’ve got a crush on him – you’ve been buying him gifts,” Britt adds, and Non becomes very uncomfortable.
Britt adopts menacing mode
“I just wanted to clear the air, that’s all!” says Britt, in a somewhat menacing voice, and leaves again.
Mark is concerned about Non
Non goes upstairs, and Mark is worried about her.
"That's between me and Sioned!"
In the Deri, Gwyneth asks Garry, “What’s your game?   You kissed Sioned!”   He replies that it is between him and Sioned, no-one else.
"There is no 'you and Sioned'!"
She insists that there is no him and Sioned.
“What exactly is she to you?” Garry wonders, and Gwyneth calls them good friends;
"You would like to be more than a friend"
“But you would like her to be more than a friend – that’s why you’re keeping her so close,” he deduces.
"Lay a finger on her, and I'll strangle you!"
“If you lay a finger on her again, I will strangle you!” she threatens,
"You wouldn't know where to start!"
but Garry assures her that she would not know where to start.
"I let Non know what's what!"
Colin manages to track down Britt to the café, where she tells him, “I went to see Non, to let her know what’s what.”
"You shouldn't have upset her!"
He admonishes her for upsetting Non, pointing out that she has been very ill.
"She says she has no feelings for you!"
Britt informs him, “She denied it anyway – she says she has no feelings for you and that you have got it wrong.”   Colin is convinced that she has made a bad situation worse,
"I don't want anyone else having you!"
but she protests she does not want anyone else having him.
"I shall try and sort this out"
He leaves to try and sort out the mess;  “It’s not right that you’ve upset her!”
Carol does not even want to look at Britt
Dani comes in with Carol, and Britt tells her she has a gift from Gloria and Neil.
Work on the jigsaw puzzle resumes
Mark is attempting to assist Non with the jigsaw puzzle;  she assures him that she would never come between a couple and try to destroy a relationship.
"I've never been so embarrassed!"
“Why does Colin think I would?   I’ve never been so embarrassed.”   Mark tells her she does not have to pretend with him;
"I thought I was doing a good job of hiding it"
and she confesses, “Colin is lovely – but he’s a friend – I like him a lot, and I thought I was doing a good job of hiding it.
"Now everyone will know"
He reveals that he suspected it last week during the leek throwing, and Non fears that now everyone will know.
"Typical me!"
“Typical me, falling for someone who isn’t available.   I’d never make a move on Colin, because he’s with Britt.   I could have stopped seeing him, couldn’t I?   But I didn’t – I’m not a very nice person.”
"You're the nicest person I know!"
Mark insists that she is the nicest person he knows, and she always puts other people first.
"I've never had a boyfriend"
“I didn’t try to seduce Colin – I wouldn’t know how to do that,” she confesses, “I’ve never had a boyfriend – I’ve never even had a real kiss.”
"You'll find Mr Right"
Mark tells her that there is plenty of time, as she is young and clever;  one day Mr Right will be around the corner.   “Mam always said there’s someone for everyone – so forget about Col, and start looking for Mr Right.”
"Thank you for helping out, Sioned . . ."
Britt arrives at the Deri, thanks Sioned for helping out, but informs her,
". . . but we won't need you any more!"
“We won’t need you any more – you can go home early, and this time, don’t come back.”
"Sioned is not going anywhere!"
Garry takes her to one side and informs her that Sioned is not going anywhere;  “I want her out of here!   You had no right giving her a job without telling me!” she rants, but Garry points out that she is a good worker.
“Is that all she is to you?” Britt demands, and Garry orders her to go upstairs.
"If it's Colin, don't let him in!"
At Maes-y-Deri, there is a knock on the door;  Mark answers it, and finds that it is Colin.
Indeed, it is Colin . . .
Non hides out of sight in the kitchen, while Mark tries to get rid of him.
. . . with an abject apology for Non
“I just want to apologise to Non – Britt had no right, turning up like she did,” Colin insists, “I know she’s upset, but I just want a chat with her.”
"The best thing you can do is go away, Col"
Mark lies that she is asleep, and that the best thing Colin can do is to go away.
"Leave Non alone for  while"
“Leave Non alone for a while, OK?”   Then he warns Non that she will have to face him some time;
"Do you really want to throw it away – for her?"
“Garry, you can’t control yourself with her around!” shouts Britt, “Let her go!   Do you really want to throw it away – for her?
"Your family needs you!"
“I know you still love Dani – you’ve got a family, and they need you.”
"It was Dani who left"
He reminds her that it was Dani who left, but she demands, “Why?   Because you pushed her to the limit!”   He maintains that there is a lot more to it than that.
"You're going to lose her for ever"
“Both of you have hurt each other, but if you keep on hurting Dani, you’re going to lose her for ever,” Britt predicts.
"More than that, we're going to lose Carol!"
“But more than that, we’re going to lose Carol!   She needs her father – she needs a family.   It’s what we always wanted, didn’t we?   When we were children, that’s all we wanted – the chance to be a proper family.
"It's not too late to change this"
“It’s not too late to change this, you know.”
"You need to stop stirring!"
Gwyneth goes to see Eileen;  “You need to stop stirring, and stop trying to ruin everything for me and Sioned,” she says, “She would be out on the street if it wasn’t for me.”
"I used to think you were a clever woman"
Eileen replies, “I used to think you were a clever woman, but you can’t see further than your nose – Sioned doesn’t want you – she is using you to get a roof over her head.
"There's more to our relationship than that!"
Gwyneth is emphatic that there is more to their relationship than that, and they are very close.
"Well, if you're so close . . ."
“Oh well, if you’re so close, why did Sioned come to me yesterday to ask my advice whether or not she should pursue Garry?” enquires Eileen.
"Garry's trying to hurt Dani"
Gwyneth replies that Garry is playing games, throwing himself at Sioned in order to hurt Dani.
"You should ask Sioned again"
Eileen’s advice is that she should ask Sioned again, as she does not want to make herself look a fool.   Gwyneth turns and goes.
Britt thinks she has sorted things out
Britt goes to number 7, and reports to Dani that she has been having a chat with Garry and thinks she got through to him.   Dani, however, is totally disinterested.
"I'm not sure that I do want him back!"
“You want him back, don’t you?” Britt demands, but Dani is not sure that she does.
“I’m an emotional wreck, thanks to him, and I dont know how much longer I can do this.”
"He's playing games with Sioned!"
Britt tries to convince her that all he is doing with Sioned is playing games with her; “And the only reason he’s doing that is because she is there, and you are here!   You shouldn’t have left, really.”
"Don't tell me you think this is my fault!"
“Please don’t tell me you think this is my fault!” rages Dani.   Britt maintains that it was a mistake to leave the Deri, because she has left the door wide open for Sioned to sneak in.
"He more or less threw me and Carol out!"
Dani explains forcibly, “I don’t know what he’s told you, but he more or less threw me and Carol out!   We had no choice – he’s treated me like dirt, and he is still doing it.   And you want me to go back there and beg?”  Britt says it would be a good start if both of them forgave each other, but Dani cannot do that.
"It's high time Garry did something"
“I’ve really tried!   I have tried so many times – it’s high time Garry did something for once, if he really wants us back!”
She picks up Carol
She goes to pick up Carol.
"I've spoken to your mother"
Gwyneth tells Sioned she has been speaking to her mother;  “She said that you weren’t interested in me at all – and the only reason you’re here is to get a roof over your head.”
"She's just angry!"
Sioned replies that her mother is angry;  “You went to her for advice about Garry, too,” Gwyneth adds,
"She thinks you're trying to seduce him"
“She’s under the impression that you’re trying to seduce him.”
"She's trying to come between us"
“Don’t take any notice of her – she’s only saying that to try and come between us!” Sioned assures her.
"We're good together"
Gwyneth says, “I want you to promise me something – from now on, if there is anything bothering you, any problem, come to me instead of your mother.   We’re good together.”
"I need a lie-down"
Sioned thinks she will go for a lie down, and Gwyneth suggests she could join her later;
Off goes Sioned  . . .
however, Sioned insists that she needs to sleep, as she had a troubled night last night.
. . . leaving Gwyneth even more suspicious
Gwyneth looks rather tired of being strung along in this way,
Then we see she is in possession of Sara's purse
then goes and looks at a cream purse, which contains a photo of Sara and Jason, with baby Ifan.
